My question is that can I buy and install a aftermarket carplay system and still be able to use all the cameras( reverse, front, side) and connect them to the new infotainment system? My audio won't work in navigation when I put an address in my phone for directions. It displays the map but no audio. Do I have to have nissan connect for the audio to work in the navigation system for directions?
Watch out on the design of the Nissan Murano 2018. Have a 2017 model and the dashboard trim/vent which are light colored are casting it's image on both side mirrors. In my opinion a Very Bad Safety Design. You would not have a clear view of what is on the vehicles sides during daylight ours. Watch out ... Called Nissan and they don't care about it, said it is not a factory defect. So, see for yourselves.

It should connect to all the standard equipment. those are the questions you need to ask who ever you purchase the new system from
How can you update maps? My state has changed all exit #'s.
It's unclear, is the Nissan Connect App. required to obtain functionality of the Navigation System? Or will it connect via Bluetooth to my phone?
