That 2nd Lynch Mob record is criminally underrated. I actually like it as much and in places more than Wicked Sensation. And while I love Oni's voice, Robert Mason's voice is a step above to me. I'd love to hear the entire first album re-done with Mason on vocals.
A league album.....underappreciated by rock fans, one solid song after another. Robert is a much vocalist than Oni, Oni sounded like Elmer Fudd at the beginning of All I want. I thought he sounded better than Oni on Wicked Sensation songs they did on Revolution..
I met Robert as a fan outside of a bar, next to the tour bus in Memphis. He was playing with The Mob (Great Album!!) but he was yelling, "if only people would buy the record!!!!" He was passionate and yet frustrated.
I met Robert for the first time right when he returned home from that road gig he did with Ozzy. Back then, he was also singing in a cover band in Phoenix called Dr. Ruth with Dwain Miller (Keel) on drums and Greg Chaisson (Badlands) on bass. I forget whom the guitarist was but that band Dr. Ruth was ABSOLUTELY THE best cover band on Planet Earth. I was completely blown away at what a great vocalist Robert is and just how good the band was. I had just moved to Phoenix and was invited to come to the show that night by Dwain and audition for the vocalist spot for Dr. Ruth (temporarily) because the singer they had while Robert was away with Ozzy, was leaving to go do an album for Michael Schenker I believe. It's been a few years so, my memory might be a little loose...lol. After I got well established in the music scene there in Phoenix, I would see and speak with Robert at shows around town sometimes here and there. Robert was ALWAYS very cool to me and actually would take the time to talk with people. I always loved that about the guy because he IS an AMAZING vocalist and songwriter and had absolutely no Rockstar ego with me. He was always very cool and down to Earth to me and I always appreciated that. My band had not been signed yet so at that time, I was just a young up and Comer trying to learn the ropes as they would say. I'm very happy for his success because he has damn well earned it and deserves it!!! Ok, enough ass kissing...lol. Cheers, JDavis (Original vocalist for Born of Fire Phoenix , AZ.)
I think the clicking is someone transcribing the questions. It’s def not mason bc his hands are up when it happens sometimes. GREAT interview. You are becoming my favorite UA-cam channel!!! Keep up the great work Sir!
Mason is "right up there". Picked up the new End Machine, along with the new Cheap Trick yesterday. Speaking of vocalists. Robin Zander is one of the best.
Another great interview, Jason! Keep those guests coming. I am sure it takes some work to track guests down and get them on the show. Kudos to you for making these episodes happen.
Can"t hear a thing. Can't finish the video. May be a good idea to re-schedule interview when there is no good connection. Life happens! Not Jason's fault! Otherwise, it's just a waste of time for everyone....hey...but it is wasting time w. JG! So what the heck! Great interviews jason!
Robert Mason seems like one the genuinely nice guys in the business, never met him, but he seems like he is aligned with doing the right thing. Lynch Mob errrr the band formerly known as Lynch Mob one of the more underappreciated bands because of that goofy hair metal label album. A league caliber band
This is soo good but the audio issues sucks ass. I find these interviews fascinating as a 52 year old life long hobby home studio guitarist song writer. In this time, internet should have been good for anyone anywhere. I know. I am a tech in that industry. It's a shame. One last good note, I think it's fantastic that Ozzy wanted a person to back up instead of recorded queued segments. Keeping it real means a shit ton.
Here’s a list of venues they played in 1992 on the Dog Eat Dog tour, note the word ARENA next to most the venues www.setlist.fm/search?artist=1bd6a500&query=tour:%28Dog+Eat+Dog+Tour%29
Just a suggestion, when the video conference quality goes so bad like this, have the guy call you and finish the interview that way. It sucks cuz its an interesting interview but gets really hard to sit through.
But what happens is the publisher of material doesn't submit it so they are just hoping it becomes there soul an owner of your soul just what these ruthless ambiguant hartless suckin life out of one who has a soul just rips your heart out an laughs as you just fade into to carbon earth of dust to be forever forgotten that never matters God bless there souls amen
Good singer. It's good for all this to come out so people can see that a lot of it really is trickery haha. I guess it's just that we're all human. We all need some help to get where we're trying to go. Just listening to the last part of the interview. I think what a lot of people have trouble understanding about the 80s moving into the 90s. The demographic did not change for MTV. The fans aged out of the demographic. But a band's demographic would have to change. As much as you might want to play to the little girlies it's probably their moms and grandmothers who are the true fans. For a band like Warrant. So that might be a tough pill to swallow. But it's better than sitting in a tan room with an asshole boss complaining all day!
@@WasteSomeTimewithJasonGreen ohh okay, gotcha.. Don't claim to be an expert, just making a suggestion. It is the comment section. It's not out of the realm of thinking it was your connection/mic seeing it was every time you spoke. Anyways, still cool. Keep up the great work.
I met Robert in Tempe, AZ right after the breakup of Lynch Mob and I have to say he was a bit of a douche. Not a pleasant dude to talk to and he seemed really bitter when I asked what happened with Lynch Mob. He's still a damn good vocalist though.

That lynch mob album is a Great hard rock album 🎸very good interview.👍
Jani was an awesome person, never carried himself arrogantly, an immense talent, one of the best songwriters of the genre. Miss him to this day
I have to agree with you Kevin. I met Jani and he was very personable and really down to earth. He took the time to talk to me for a few minutes.
Man, I'm hanging in there even with the audio issues. Robert Mason has a really good story and is really charismatic.
It was painful, but yes he’s a good guy
Yeah I agree. That was rough
What the hell is making all that noise??

@@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle I thought that was an Elmer Fudd impersonation too. Lol
Best LM IMO
Couldn't agree more ❤

I was at the ‘96 Donington show. It was KISS’ only European show that summer.
Cry Of Love, Diamonds and Debris. One of the greatest classic rock albums of all time
That new End Machine record is freaking AWESOME!
Robert Mason Rocks, Amazing ❤❤❤
Congrats on your long career Robert. Gloria Davis must have been proud.
What's goin on with the background noise? .....LOVE Robert's voice btw, that Lynch Mob album is so good.
Yup
Seems like Robert is typing when he stops talking
My guess was there were others using the net at Robert's place at the same time starving bandwidth for his feed
I think the clicking is someone transcribing the questions. It’s def not mason bc his hands are up when it happens sometimes. GREAT interview. You are becoming my favorite UA-cam channel!!! Keep up the great work Sir!
Would love to hear Robert and Jake E. Lee put out something together.
Great interview. Great singer. End Machine is my favorite "new" band.
Great interview regardless of sound quality 👏👏👏👏
I've really been enjoying these interviews. Great job Jason!
Thanks Scott!
Mason is "right up there". Picked up the new End Machine, along with the new Cheap Trick yesterday. Speaking of vocalists. Robin Zander is one of the best.
Man, Robert is so grounded and realistic. Honesty over Cash
Cash Johnny you mean not sure
Another great interview, Jason! Keep those guests coming. I am sure it takes some work to track guests down and get them on the show. Kudos to you for making these episodes happen.
Cry of Live Diamond and Debris is very underrated record. Wore it out back in the day
I saw the Ozzmosis tour with Joe Holmes in Zurich...fun times
Good job Jason! Thanks for sharing ! God bless all the rockers on flat earth and savior JESUS keep us safe always!
Good interview, Bad Audio...
No mention of the brilliant Big Cock who did 3 great albums. Killer interview regardless.
Those 3 BIG COCK albums are amazing in deed. Who knows why they're not mentioned... sometimes it's because of legal issues...😑
Love them
Jason, one day you should expand upon the hints of you disliking Bob Blotzer. Just curious.
Mark is a class act.
Maybe Kiss can hire Robert to sing background vocals for Paul Stanley songs
Surely you mean lead vocals
Hahaha
Such a Phenomenal Singer wow
Fuck the audio issues... I'm hanging like nkotb... hanging tough

The sound is Leave the World Behind after Rolling Stone Attack on George Lynch

I'd like to see some evidence of warrant playing arenas in 1992. I must have missed that..

Great interview. Too bad it's ruined with horrible audio. Geez

Love your interviews. Really good stuff. But that popping and bubble noise is distracting. Detracts from the professional level.

Ugh.. Jason. Your mic... technical difficulties. Time to invest in a small background set, mic etc.

Hard to listen too with the interference and interviewee pausing every time after half a dozen words with each sentence. Love your show though Jason
Ok Jason, love the interviews but now you must be interviewed on the Blotzer story. Throw all the dirt out on that shit show of a tour Bob attempted.
WTF is that annoying typing sound? OMG
