MegadetH wouldn’t and wasn’t MegadetH without Ellefson. Mustaine screwed him over and yet Ellefson was the bigger man in all of it. He is without a doubt a super class act and a hell of a musician.

Mustaine is Megadeth, everyone else just adds a little flavor. Even some of the best bass lines Mustaine wrote. When Mustaine damaged his nerve and before he decided to call it quits, the other 3 members screwed Mustaine over by getting money from the record company that Mustaine had to pay back. Ellefson sued Mustaine a couple of times, surprised Mustaine ever let him back in the first place.

Thank You for asking about DIME being offered to join MEGADETH, that’s what makes you a great interviewer!!! Way Cool of Dave to tell the us about it and the obvious respect snd admiration he expresses for PANTERA!!! Im honored that my name Rick E. Warden is included in the special thanks of 4 PANTERA records including POWER METAL and CFH. I published the local rag SKULL PRESS (on FB) among other things including a great friendship with DIME. I’m the person that made James and Lars promise me they’d come see DIME. It was at the last show of the RIDE THE LIGHTNING tour/ with WASP in Phoenix Arizona. Also partied with Chris Holmes until the sun came up that night.

I was at the Alpine Valley show.. Great show. But Megadeth used too much phase/flanger thru their set.

Mustaine screwed them over. he owns the megadeth name ; probably the rights I'm sure Ellefson, Poland; Marty Friedman and the late Nick menza were due, money that they didnt get any royalties on merchandise and record sales
