//////Lyrics:
Bet you didn't think I knew how to rock 'n' roll.
Oh, I got the boogie-woogie right down in my very soul.
There ain't no need for me to be a wallflower,
'Cause now I'm living on blues power.
I knew all the time but now I'm gonna let you know:
I'm gonna keep on rocking, no matter if it's fast or slow.
Ain't gonna stop until the twenty-fifth hour,
'Cause now I'm living no blues power.
First Verse
Talking to you, now.
The boogie's gonna pull me through.
Keep on, keep on, keep on keeping on.
Keep on keeping on, keep on keeping on.
Enjoy!
Amazing bassline by Duck Dunn. Rest in peace.
Remembering a life long Tulsan Jamie Oldaker July 16th 2020
Amazingly talented.

I played this album until the grooves were gone!! Dang...Clapton lives forever....So glad I saw him live!!
Mr. Stainton is killing, he is crazy! Oh God!
I was so lucky to see this show on successive nights at the Concord Pavilion. I screwed up the date we had tickets, and showed up a day early. We bought tickets from a scalper and sat less than dozen rows from the stage (my best seats ever). I think Ry Cooder opened from him. The first night, EC welcome someone named Santana on stage to play with him. I remember EC introduced the members of his band, and then Donald "Duck" Dunn said, "And now, the Rolls Royce of guitar players: Eric Clapton!" The second night was great, but no special guest as I recall. Great tight band. I think he sounds better with female backups for some reason.
Marc Weeks great life memory right there. My best memories revolve around music.
clapton at the pavilion... won't happen again these days :/
Of course Eric Clapton is one of the best
saw EC my 1st time on this tour and was hooked from than on! Have seen him 16 times since!!
Wow! I envy that. He was the last on my idols list I wanted to see (McCartney, Starr, Stones, Elton John, Mike Nesmith) but I checked him off the list on September 16 in Denver. Fantastic show that had better audio quality than I believe any show I've seen. The opener was, of course Jimmie Vaughan, so that was kind of a two for one show. 😁
I would wager that no musician could play at this level on the amount of coke and alcohol that would’ve been in his system at this time. This is not an attempt to excuse his substance abuse, just to highlight his utter brilliance.
I thought he had cleaned up by then.
SRV?
@@malarkey_detected fair shout!
Eric wasn't even a addict of any kind at this time.. would been around the time he created the crossroads treatment centre in the Caribbean.. clean and sober jus like Stevie ray and played jus as great as ever.
@@ninjavigilante5311 he certainly was! He got clean after Conor was born. Conor was born in 1986; Eric was in rehab in 1987.
Holy shit! Just listen how Eric drives the band after the piano solo. Incredible.
Bet you didn't think I knew how to rock 'n' roll.

That guitar playing is just original. Plus, I love the drumming in this one, oh boy
blackie
This was very popular at the time. Wasn't this on HBO, or other mainstream media outlets? At the very same time, SRV was accelerating also. Personally, 1985 was the peak of my life.
What a legendary line up quality musicians😊
Duck friggin Dunn
Clapton at his tightest.
Chris Stainton is a monster, oh man lol
If that's Jamie Oldaker?? RIP Sir...
One the best drummers Clapton worked with next to ginger, Gordon and Mr Steve gadd
Hit it Chris........ those poor keys.
Seen him in Edinburgh 1985, 1st concert I went to. Still listen to his music after all these years.
Wonderful playing, the band enjoyed, Eric enjoyed
Yes Marc Marcy Levy was 1 of the Girls.
let it never be said that clapton forgot his roots
saw him on this tour when he came through toronto still the best show i ever saw
wonderland?
yes
It would have been better if Steve Winwood was there..
Interesting. The original is written in Cmaj, but this version is one whole step in Dmaj. And way faster!
Faster yes, but in the original key.
Yeah.... let’s Rock and Roll...Eric you’re one of the best..🌹🌹🌹💋💋💋💃🎸
That looked like "Duck" Dunn on bass.
It is duck was with him for a period of time in the 80s
Duck Dunn said in a interview Eric was the finest guitarist he ever played with.
Duck Dunn is giving that bass a good spankin`
Smoking the pipe usually as well 😊, he once said eric was the finest guitarist he ever played with.
Nobody can beat the Just One Night version...
Have you heard the Dominos version with Bobby Whitlock on backing vocals?
Great gig, one of my favourites.
Listen to Duck Dunn on bass - man what a fat sound, amazing tone, groove and timing - a little too much Stanton here for my taste, his piano sounds like a toy - I way prefer Chuck Levell and Billy Preston - some Hammond B3 would have been nice - the drummer was from Oklahoma and those Okie boys can sure play - about 9 years after this Eric re-discovered his magic with the FROM THE CRADLE tour and album
Eric Clapton is God,💕
Great song .... I do prefer the "Just One Night" live version, however. Not as keen on the backup singers and seems a bit sped up.
BLUES POWER..........
blues power backtracking
Great stuff. Funky Rock n' roll .fun 1/2 & double time feel...just too short!
The best Eric Clapton crew over the years👍👍👍👍🧨🧨🧨🎸🎹🥁🎤🗿🗿❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗
Nah missing steve gadd
Best Blues regards to Eric Clapton & Musicians Friends ;)
Not bad. But.... Eric always sounded so much better playing a Gibson SG, Firebird and Les Paul. I still don't get the Strat in his world of great tone.
His Gibson les Paul from the beano album is legendary.
EC has Jamie Oldaker drumming for him on this tour. He liked the Oklahoma musicians, most notably JJ Cale & Leon Russell.
Oklahoma is well known 4 great music/ musicians
Super.
Best back up singers in history.
Marcy Levy? And?

Clapton is best live.
I am a die hard Clapton fan but for 10 years he pretty much avoided distortion on his sound and played clean...it just was not speaking ...like it needed too. A couple years later he cranked it back up and returned to the top when He decided to be a great guitarist again..
His prime days were the beano album!
U must be very young
No, I wish I was younger I think 1985 which this is was my 4 th...of many
Excellent number indeed.......

Loved him in blues brothers
What a wonderful world it would be if Eric had only learned how to be happy as a sideman instead of schlepping that wishy washy voice of his around the globe.
And of course your opinion really matters?
