We found the HONEY HOLE filled with RARE FISH! (Catch Clean Cook)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 10 жов 2023
- We took the boat out on Galveston bay for a day of inshore fishing. After hopping around a few different areas we finally got into a good bite and found a honey hole full of rare fish! We used live shrimp for bait and managed to get a cooler full of these highly prized fish!

I’m so happy I found you. I love all the recipes and I love every video you post thank you.
I love gaff top!!!!
Me too! One of my favorite fish to fry!
Dope
Used to have to hunt mangs in NE Florida. Now they are everywhere there is structure. Love it. Always a meal out there.
The population here in Texas seems to have exploded this year. I had never caught one before and heard they were pretty rare. But now it seems they are everywhere! Definitely fun to catch and great to eat!
that’s wild,
mangrove in Galveston.
They’re all over right now!
U know what it is Brother 💯🙏
Thanks for watching!
I got a couple of mangrove spots in Freeport area, first caught them back in 2011. I've noticed over the years that the hotter the summer the easier to find and more abundant. Pound for pound hardest fighting fish in the bay. PB is 16in and I would have bet it was a slot red.
I would agree they are definitely the hardest fighting for their size! Thanks for watching!
Awesome sauce dude!!!
Thank you for watching!
That’s awazing. Lived in Galveston area all my life and never knew we had Mangroves !!
I didn’t know until just a couple years ago and thought they were hard to catch. But now it seems they are very abundant! Thanks for watching
Same. I'm ashamed of myself for not figuring that out before this.
I caught those things at the levee at Surfside on dead shrimp on a dropper rig.
Great job Bro Looks scrumptious..
Thank you man!

I usually fry golden croaker whole like that, they are delicious! i am surprised the golden croaker run did not start yet...
I believe it is starting up right now! Saw a lot of people at the end of the dike filling buckets with them! Big croakers too!
I’ve seen guys wit poping cork and two hooks catching double mangroves
That’s awesome! I need to try that!
those mangroves are 2 ez when they're stacked up like that.
It’s almost unfair! Lol 😂
Cameron: that’s a nice one x 20
I’m just hating 😭 haven’t fished in about a year 😢

Lol! Had to show them how it’s done! Thanks for watching!
Oh wait it was them!! 😂 - great times!! Keep them videos coming
Nice!! Going out tomorrow, you think fish still running on the north jetties?
I would bet, tomorrow looks flat calm and nice water. I’d imagine it’s covered in reds and sheepshead. Probably some trout around as well!
launched from GYB?
I know exactly where that second spot is on the channel. Flounder should be stacking up right about now
The little ones are definitely moving in like crazy!
What is the link to the popping cork bro 😎 ? And also the treble hook 🪝. Dope video ‼️‼️
I can not seem to find them on the academy website anymore, but I believe it was an H&H cork. Any cork will work for the mangroves though, we caught them using crappie bobbers as well. When I use a cork for anything though, I like to get the ones with wire instead of mono in middle of the cork, and big beads.
First time watching one of your videos what state are you fishing in that you don't have no limit on mangroves I live in Florida 10 inches inshore 12 offshore
I am in Texas. No limit in state waters here. But I still don’t want to keep anything under 10inches unless gut hooked.
what's the minimum length for mangrove? If any....
No minimum length in Texas. I just do what other states do and keep them over 10 inches. No meat on anything under that size anyways! Thanks for watching!
Send me the link brother
I'm like your partner, catch a pinfish, hook'em by the tail and toss him back. I like chain fishing.
quit using a treble hook and you'll catch a lot more.
Why do you recommend that?
Smaller profile and better hookups. I use mostly Owner mutu light. Best small wire hook IMO@@BeforeOutdoors
