Thanks so much! It is a lot of work behind the scenes. It is fun catching fish. But the preparation, and break down at the end of each of these trips makes me sleep really good in the end of the day hahaha.
Love the chaotic intro at the launch. That stuff happens to all of us from time to time - very cool that you owned it and started the video with it. Thanks man
Thanks so much and nothing to be sorry about. It woke me up nicely and now that I think about it. I laugh at myself 😂 the ramp was extremely slippery this day. It happens.
Offshore fishing in Florida is so frustrating these days. Sharks for days. Great video as always and thanks for putting in so much work to produce such high quality productions!
Lots of people are getting fed up with dealing with sharks. They are a sign of a healthy ecosystem but god damn are they frustrating to deal with. Good fix is to hook into one and fight it, usually works at scaring a lot of others off. Lots of guides are killing them to keep others away. Dead sharks make for a great repellent to some species so there has been some products coming out to mimic that.
Wow, it almost got away from you! Need the remote for trolling motor since it is a self-deploying one. Such a great video with all the live under water shots. Love watching your videos, thanks for sharing and taking us along for the ride.
Hahaha yeah my remote was on the boat but even still. It doesn’t deploy great on its own. Now I normally have to give the head a little push for it to deploy.
@@FishAholicTV also wanted to ask about your 4runner, what year and is it 4wheel drive? Looking maybe to get one, what is the weight of your boat and trailer and does the truck pull it good? Thanks for you help.
Awesome, crazy what ya gotta go through with all the toothies tryna git yur catch before ya git it up but them Snook sure showed ya love before leavin the Country!
Nice snook , love to see those big ladies released. Bummer on the barracuda’s and sharks. I have done the same as you did with your boat line. I trailer my kayak and usually tie off the line. Scares the heck out of you watching your boat heading out without you….😳😳😳😳😳 As always thanks for taking us on another adventure. Cheers
WHOOPS! ha ha That is an expensive boat to let go, and the vehicle almost got away, too , it looks like. Where was your mind? You are brave to show this part of the video.
Great video per usual, Rich! I could feel the frustration when those cudas/sharks were robbing you there. Also, monster snook at the end man. Excited to see what you're going to do next with that livescope!
Rich I've been fishing the Keys for a living for almost 20 years and have had 1000 encounters with Flipper eating my fish/bait but never once have I hooked one or even heard of one hooked. Their echo location shows them exactly where that hook is its crazy
Tax man came in close to get that mutten... Went out Saturday night caught a cooler full of spots, gray trout, speckled trout, blues,Spanish, huge pompano, black and red drum.
Hey rich live the videos! Hope to be able to fish Florida keys someday! I’m northwest got a lot of halibut lings and rockfish. Just wondering what baitcasting reel are you using with the white handle?
It has probably about a 40 yard range. But I didn’t have it in my pocket and when launching. Also sometimes it gets stuck when deploying. So I don’t trust it enough to rely on it while launching.
Yep, you can tell when a man has “other” things on his mind ❤!! The brain “functions” become “malfunctions” and things like putting the vehicle in “P” before exiting are “gone with the wind”. RFLMAO, I was yelling “the rope, the rope” splash, um sharks? Way to keep it together!! That Brazil trip can’t get here soon enough!!
I put it in Park it just started sliding on the ramp. But yeah fishing and traveling so much it catches up to you. I got lucky. My rope all tangled and balled up at the end didn’t help either. It should have been extended fully.
Love your vid’s Rich. I missed out on the striper surf run this year out here in the Monterey Bay. I couldn’t buy a fish! Spooks and swarter’s were doing it. Glad it all worked out!!
Hahaha yeah I could have just tied it. I’ve done it so many times. But I definitely wasn’t prepared for this. Usually this ramp isn’t as slippery as it was on this day.
Hahaha I was still a little tired from the day before. That swim definitely woke me up. Especially when mullet started getting chased just outside of where my boat was floating.
How often do you launch there? Ive seen your setup there once and wanted to say hi but you were out on the water ig. Hey Stephen, yeah I would love too fish out of there. Here is my email fishaholictv@gmail.com I was actually just up in Montauk for a couple days and the Bluefin bite was off the charts. A lot of them are starting to migrate out of the Northeast and probably down your way.
Dude I thought I saw what I saw with the rope then the @#! and dive in is when i realized i did see. Happens to the best of us! Living and fishing from my boat in NE I plan to make the move down there again. I miss Florida fishing.

Please excuse my ignorance - but has the issue of sharks and 'cudas stealing hooked/caught fish - and bait - become worse over the last few years? Or has it always been like this? Thanks for another great video and I hope that "snappah" was tasty!
@@FishAholicTV Thanks. I was born/raised in FL but left the state years ago. I don't recall this being a "thing" back then ... but again, it wasn't my focus either - soooo. It reminds me of bears, coyotes (and similar) learning to raid human occupied camp sites - as in the "wildlife" has gotten smarter about an easy food source.
Any reason why the car did that? I don’t have a boat and I always wondered how cars/trucks ended up getting totaled by needing up in the water at boat ramps. I am assuming it’s something to do with the 4 wheel drive but not sure
The ramp had a lot of growth on it. I swear I put it in park but it just kept sliding. Usually for launching I don’t use 4 wheel but from now on maybe I will. Usually when I pull the boat I always have it in 4wheel because of course that is when the load is the most when pulling it out.
There was a lot of growth. Maybe it was a rainy weekend so a lot of people didn’t launch for a few days. Typically this ramp isn’t that slippy. But this day I had to hold on to the truck just to walk to the tongue of the trailer to hook it back up. Or I would have slipped. It was like black ice.
