I wish I was just discovering your channel. I found you during midsemester exams and I just couldn't stop watching the series to study. Great compilation of a wonderfully skilled build. Awesome skills learned and very well executed! I love the use of different insulation for different purposes. To save some money, I would think where applying k-flex, you wouldn’t need sound deadening, because k-flex also does that. ❤

Trying to fit in a double bed with two singles underneath at the back, also leaving room for a garage space is proving difficult.
@4:56 did you consider a double layer of solar panels to extend for the same weight? Like, maybe 2 layers of flexible solar on an extendable frame that becomes an awning?

Perfectly designed, crafted and implemented with the end-user in mind, that, being yourselves. 3D printing your own themed holders, switch housings, etcetera really adds to the overall visual aesthetics that makes your van truly "one of a kind" . Seeing your skillset being put to full use reminds me of a quote from Arthur Fletcher - "A mind is a terrible thing to waste". I am now following along to see where this journey takes you. 👑🚐💚
Supernice! What products would you recommend please for the rust treatment and as a base coat for the underbody here in Czech Republic? I was thinking about Perdix 220 as rust treatment, but I don't know what basecoat to use...Thanks for the reply!

Hello! What do you think about the layout of the Globe Traveler Explorer 2X and 2XS? I really like this layout, except that the bed is only 123cm width, and will be happy to know your opinion.
Curious whether the roof panels you used warped. Perhaps a follow up video on how well everything held up and if you would do anything different.
It’s all good so far. We built it slowly and carefully so nothing major we would change.

Interesting, as I noticed your using 72 cell panels. are they in series or two banks.
Truly impressed. By the way, you could save a TON of space from the ebikes by learning to ride electric unicycles.
Its challenging at first, but absolutely nothing beat the size/range they provide. Plus, they are a ton of fun.
Only drawback is that its a "gear up, all the time" thing, but you seem to be safety conscious already 😊.
I had a unicycle few years back and I absolutely loved it! 5 points of contact on a bike is much safer and allows more aggressive riding.
@@ladiandmargaret yeah, ripping at 70kmh+ on a EUC is a bit more challenging than on 2 wheels 😁
It is, more dangerous in other words :) Less practical for bringing cargo like groceries when we park off grid. I always had this concept in mind of keeping one EUC in the trunk of our small car where I can’t fit ebike. Super cool for quick transport within a city.

You mean the underside of the van floor? I also always wonder why this is not done. It will also protect and insulate the water tanks.

How do you do it with the e-bikes, since they're very fast.
Do you need a motorbike license for them? Do they not need number plates?
I know that in the country I grew up in, if you got an e-bike that could do 80kph or more, it needed a number plate just like any other car or motorbike, so I was wondering if that applied to yours too!

Wonderful van conversion! What material did you use for the water tank?
Empty Van, two bikes, big tent, credit card, Airbnb. KISS
I need to share some knowledge, the white glue you're using to glue the fabric to the wooden panels is actually bad, like the glue is very bad.
There is better glue for it, how do I know? Our family owns a car upholstery and we make luxury car interiors and also repairs.
This glue will loose it's power once it gets lil too humid inside the van.
Can you share the name and type?

I ve Build 2 Vans , and really wonder if you guys are able to stay under 3,5 ton .. kinda important point to mention in instruction video not to get into troubles .. which I had the first time .. I love the build don t get me wrong Its super inspiring .. but is it possible under 3,5 ton and safe ??… 😊

Where did you get the 3D models of the van? I can't find it :(
They made many things themselves, showed video of themselves in a 3-D digital model, and described the process in an early video in the series. Digital plans for sale on their website.

Superb craftsmanship & ingenuity all coupled up here. Exquisitely done with tech gizmos. I can see myself waiting along time for such a custom made van. Of course, minus the inside shower & commode, too small a place to have my shyte inches away from me. No thanks 😊.
