Duran Duran perform Tonight United live in front of an invited audience for BBC Radio 2 In Concert
hey guys, here is their latest single released only 12-mths ago. they are incredible as a band for the way in which they keep delivering great albums, all through their career. most bands have the heyday and the quality declines or they stop making new albums. these guys have just finished album 15, and remember the lead singer is now 65 years old. check this out for an impressive track at their age. also thought you would find this interesting - i'd never checked this, i knew they were big but these numbers are unreal :) Duran Duran is one of the best-selling music artists in the world, with over 100 million albums sold. They have 30 top 40 singles in the UK, 14 top ten singles in the UK Singles Chart, and 21 top ten singles in the US Billboard Hot 100.
They are currently having a massive tour across the US and Canada performing at more than 20 locations around the two countries.
I highly recommend Hollywood high, A great Duran Duran Docuconcert Filmed last year.
Duran Duran av played outside festivals at lollapalooza coachelle hyde park London isle of wight so the first to outside festivals up to 200 thousand ppl Isle of Wight they've played there twice over 100 hundred thousand and hype park London UK which i attended last year was a Duran Duran gig over 80 thousand ppl turned out thats huge massive ppl they played to and warm up gigs before they hit the road Which ive attended over 2 thousand ppl then they hit the arenas from 15 thousand ppl up to 30 thousand ppl live i now my stuff lol and omg omg omg 😟😳 they are still pulling the crowds and there fans 🎉🎉🎉
To the Wolf HunterZ. Can you remove all or some of Johnny'sGirl1960 comments? It is appalling how this commenter talks about people who are fighting for their lives with Stage-4 cancer. That whole BBC Radio2 concert was awesome! It was done about when Covid was easing and people were starting to go back to group events like this (still tons of people wearing masks in the crowd), I think late 2021. So Simon would’ve been about 63, John & Roger 61, Nick 59. Amazing energy throughout! 🎉❤
not a fan of this Duran Duran song. A better song from the same album is "Wing" - sounds like a Bond theme - great fan made video for it too.
Can't wait for the new "Halloween Album" to drop in October with Andy. Although, I have a bad feeling that they'll be covering "Timewarp" from the Rocky Horror Picture Show - Hate that song.
The song was a colaboration with legendary Italian keyboardist and producer Giorgio Moroder who produced many iconic Disco songs on the 70s.
Thanks for your information about Giorgio Moroder... just want to add that he's a composer & known as the "Father of Disco" & a pioneer of electronic music.

Love DD, love their latest album 'Future Past' but this is one of my least fave songs from the album. They didnt perform this one when I saw them in concert recently. Fun concert song tho.
This was meant to not be a guitar song but rather a bass song. They collaborated with Giorgio Moroder who was a writer since the 70s. He decided it would be good for John to do a bass solo. I love that song.
You should check out their song “Anniversary” off the same album. It’s the best song (in my opinion) in a long time and Simon Le Bon called it a love letter to their older material.
Unfortunately, this isn't one of their stronger tracks. Repetition is the enemy of a good song.

Andy Taylor was a member of Duran Duran between 1980-1986 and then again between 2001 to 2006. He is and has been working with Duran Duran on several tracks for a planned upcoming covers album with some original songs. Hopefully, it will be released by the end of this year.
@@JOHNNYSGIRL1960 Andy hasn't been in the band for 17 years so the band has been a four-piece (in regards to members in the band and not as in regards to musical instrumentation) also for 17 years. Andy left Duran Duran in 2006. Simon and JT are about 1 year and nearly 8 months apart.
@eamonconnelly8029 He's been gone from the band more than he's been in it. Warren was in the band longer than Andy about 13 years, and Dom has been touring with them for 20 years and recorded three albums with them. They were a few years after Andy left the first time a three piece with John, Nick, and Simon for a few years. The band became five piece a couple of years with Warren and Sterling becoming formal members of DD. Then Roger came back for the reunion with Andy, so that made it a five piece. And it's been a four piece ever since with the exception of Andy doing an album with them this year it will still be a four piece unless you want to include Dom then it would be a five piece with him but he's still not an official bandmate so that rules that out!
