Try to buy as much veggies as possible on the markets during season, especially tomatoes which are incredible this time of year. Honey and home made ajvar are two other products recommended by me, however ajvar might be sold out until autumn.
Its called pelinkovac, Gorki list is a manufacturer, but it is one of the hidden secrets most foreigners dont experience 😄 It goes awesomely with coca cola, but not mixed, in separate glasses 👍
that wasnt rakija at the beginning, the guy said Cognac/Vinjak. Obviously Cognac is trademarked and can only be produced in France, the guy cooked his version that is locally called Vinjak (or Vignac if you were french, not to go into reading serbian letters; as aside its very simple 30 letters - 30 sounds you just need to know how each letter sounds, it always sounds the same).
Traveling to Belgrade this December and watching your Serbian series which am thoroughly enjoying.
What an incredible experience! The blue cheese sauce on lamb looks fabulous.
The sauce was addictive. I still crave it! It also helped that the lamb was fresh and seasoned well, but that sauce stole the show!
@@TravelsInSpace we look forward to you taking a crack at that dish the next time we catch up with you somewhere around the globe.

@@TravelsInSpace As soon as his last name ends with "ić" you can conclude that he is from the Balkan region
Mondays are indeed the least favourable days for farmer markets because most people come at weekends. A lot of markets are even closed on Mondays.
Pedja seems like some character
Pedja was a blast! Super welcoming, fun, and extraordinarily knowledgeable about both Belgrade and Serbia.
majstor udara Gorki list...
That's one drink I'd love to recommend, Gorki list, made from the same plant as Jagger but it's bitter and far better.
We will have to track that down when we come back to belgrade!
