  • I will show you how to make gold spray paint look real. The trick to getting gold spray paint to look good is to use a white base color and get your clear coat correct. Spray painting gold is tricky, as with all shiny or metallic spray paint. Getting that super shiny gold effect is way easier than you would think. Gold spray paint can be tricky. The biggest problem with gold spray paint is that it ends up looking dull. The trick is the order in which you put your paint down. Spray paint gold needs to sit on top of white spray paint.

After the first application of Gold you then gave it a light clear coat before applying gold dust. Does the clear coat not crinkle the 1st gold application as long as the clear us a light spray? Thanks

Learn about bronze powders they not only have but many differnt tones and Metallics. Any good painter would have bronze powders in their shop. You can add them to clear and you have real miniature metallics and you can add to colors to make metallic paints. I was working on a movie in San Francisco and the cinematographer wanted to shoot out the window. I had to paint some trim to go around the windows with a full collection of powders I was able to match the oil rubbed bronze color of the buildings trim. I had to do it all in the lobby of a busy office building while they waited (the whole film crew) on the 12th floor
