Thanks Dave, I have a red one that is unused still in the box, mine in kerosene, not sure if i can use white spirits? it dates back to 1980, if you look underneath the base the year will be stamped there, I will probably sell mine on Trademe but its such a iconic lamp I cant bring myself to sell it, thanks for the video
Thanks - I will check the base of mine. Yes I think a kerosene one will also take white spirit. Jim Thomas reckons they are one and the same. I know my MSR cooker states it can take both. You could sell yours but in an emergency they could come in handy!! Thanks for commenting

White spirits or White Gasoline is Kerosene , that's what we always called it , Also Methanol and Alcohol
