- Hey guys! Thank you for all the love and support! This is a summary video of the 2020 Corvette Convertible Rebuild. I hope you enjoy this summary video.
This car is a keeper, it turns so many heads. For now I will focus on making videos on other things I will be taking a break from rebuilds and enjoying the fruits of my labor.
FYI
GM changed the rules on selling SDM (airbag control modules to the public) you cannot buy and install yourself and have the dealer do the final programming anymore. My car sat at the dealership for 5 weeks waiting on the SDM module That was the longest process of the rebuild. For those of you wondering if safetyrestore and myairbags could rebuild those SDM. Both companies failed to do so. However myairbags did rebuild the seatbelts.
Where did this young guy attain all that knowledge and experience to do this in his backyard?absolutely amazing!!!
He probably works or worked in a body shop.
It helps when his garage looks like a professional shop, probably older than he appears.
Practice. (Preferably, on something cheaper until one figures things out.)
Trial and error on cheaper things, along with a lot of research. My opinion based off experience.
When you are a Creator there is no competition you just create. The only thing I don't like is putting Bondo on the vehicle that part should be fabricated by hand out of aluminum out of metal but not Bondo. Everybody has a genius inside of them connect with God your spiritual self and you'll find yours
I don't know what you do for a living, but car restoration you're hired
As a C8 owner absolutely incredible job. You've got talent buddy.
Unbelievable. I never thought the body panels were going to fit. We need more information: about the technician, the project... EVERYTHING. Truly amazing skills (backyard project no less.)
Wow. this made my day. To see a young person actually taking initiative and doing some hard work to achieve a goal. Brilliant sir!!!
Good to see some old school shade tree wrench turning, nothing but respect for your hard work, enjoy your Corvette.
Great to see people putting their skills to good use, mad respect. And I hope you turn a huge profit for your time and trouble.
I’m not a corvette fan, but this was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen!!
Bro, vetts are iconic and the c8s are gorgeous...
Were can you get a super car for half the price?!
@@rudawgs5418 I’m not hating on them, all I’m saying is that they are not for me!
Great job!..Very Talented, not sure his driveway will ever be the same.
Its awesome to see this thing live again. Nailed the paint.match at hom too!
one of the most amazing things ive seen on youtube. its hard to believe that someone can do all of that home
Shows how bad gm design junk is laughing lmao
Gm people play with legos &drinking to much on lunch break
You did such a great repair job on the C8 by yourself, my hat is off to you.
This is testament to most people that judge the look of a shop before they see their work. The building doesn’t do the work, talented hands and astute brains do. Along with lots of experience.
This guy has some mad skills.
I think it takes a young guy who doesn’t know he can’t possibly do this to do this. Very impressive on many levels and my admiration knows no bounds. Fabulous!
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! EXCELLENT WORK!!😃👍👏👏👏👏👏
I could not believe what I was seeing simply amazing.
I'm blown away! Great job..👏🏾
Brother, you have skills, truly amazing 👏!
Whoa! Those jack stands are super cool! Lol
You did a fantastic job! Great video.
My brother is a manager at GM, I doubt he could put a 2020 C8 back together. You got skills, maybe you should apply for a job at GM.
Absolutely excellent rebuild of a badly damaged C8. The only downside is the red concrete out front.
haha, isn't it. I noticed that, too!
Congratulations dude 👏 you completed a miracle and documented it extremely well
Wow. That fellow has some skills. His backyard work looks as good, if not better than a dealership. That car turned out great.
this is amazing that you do all this, and out of your home garage.
What is right with at least one young kid today. Awesome job.
AWESOME job on the rebuild!! Thanks for sharing!!
This is an example of a great young person making it happen! Very impressive in this time.
"So what did you do this weekend?" Most guys: "Had a few beers, watched some sports..."
ThatShortGuy: "Oh, nothing much..."
hahaha
Excellent job!
Very impressive. Lots of elbow grease and determination. Any stats on things like how much was the salvage car? How many hours spent? Total end cost?
Same how much was salvage car what you think 20 and as for time tag may 10 th 🤔 rather quick 👏 amazing work 👏 👏 🙌
I'd guess he paid between 55-65,000$ for the dalbage car alone. Maybe another 15 in parts
This deserves way more views
Wow! Great job!
Thank you for the shoutout and your business!
Congratulations! Wonderful work.
You are awesome dude I did somewhat air bag replacement and Fender work in somewhat on a 2016 juke and wanted to take a chance with one of these C8's that was at the auction.... you are awesome dog....
Well done. Impressive work!
Wow, awesome job. You are one talented guy.
Thats what i call weekend warrior!! Man with many talents. 😁👍
The 5 DISLIKES are people who drive Fords 😆
Absolutely amazing!!! Amazing job!!! I wish I could do this!!!
Wow…about the only part I could have done was wash it…amazing!👍
Truly an amazing job! I hope you do keep it, that car is You!
This was a awesome rebuild.
No longer worth the original price (if plan was to resell) due to the damage being forever linked to the title, but any regular person would pay pretty damn close for this quality he put back in!! Hope he keeps his awesome re-creation!
man...great job dude!!! I'm curious, how much did the car cost you in the condition you got it?
Wow bro, i wish i had the balls to do this! Great job!
WOW, very impressive
FANTASTIC VIDEO
Wow!!!! Very nice job 👍👍👍👍
Excellent job!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I'm impressed 110%
Love your no fear attitude on doing these major repairs. Good job!
The structural portion is a bit suspect, but the cosmetic portion was on point. Either way for a salvaged car...Looks awesome and would be an awesome addition in anyone's garage. Great job dude...
Just one thing..should have laid a tarp on the floor prior to spraying..
BTW, I was an aviation structural mechanic for 22 years and did my time in an auto body shop prior to that. Structures, fiberglass, radom, paint and auto mechanics. F18s, harriers, hueys, cobras, 53s, 60s, 46s, tomcats, duece 1/2s, 5 tons, Hemtts, Humvees..etc
I would like to know how much he paid for it in the first place. Looks like a great find.
Copart
Myself as well...
Nothing left to say! Outstanding!
Awesome job 👍🏾
NGL, very, very impressive and what a "can do " attitude. You give me hope for the younger generation.
T. Fellow Texan.

Great work!!! Enjoy it!!!
Great job!!!
Great vid. Nicely done work.
Awesome job, congratulations 👍🏻
The question is why this car was in a salvage state ? There was nothing more than a little body work to do, nothing that would be deemed as unrepairable or higher cost than the car .... Unless there is some frame damage not taken into account in the repair here ?
The thing is is I seen the repair of Bondo. I don't approve of that. If you had to conceal bring up something to meet specs then you steel. I've been building cars and repairing cars since I what's 10. It's not hard to be a creator. We all are creators and get the competition. Because there is none when you create
It was dropped off a lift
When he took the passenger seat out I could see the side airbag on the seat had been deployed. This often will render a vehicle a total loss when ever an airbag has been deployed.
WOW I loved this video ...
Wow....much respect...
DAMN!!! 🔥🔥
Awesome and talented!
Bravo bravo .....super super smart
Very industrious young man! Well done! Curious what your total investment is on this project?
Good afternoon, excellent repair. Where did you get the wheel stands that you used on the car? Really looked trick and clever. Take care.
Very nice work. Looks good. Who cares if it’s salvage. It’s still awesome!! I see you used what looks like a stage 3 turbine unit hvlp set up for paint. What kind of gun and paint did you use. I have one and had issues with it. I use a 60 gal 5.5 hp compressor set up and hvlp. But I’d like to know what gun to buy for my portable stage 3 turbine. Again nice work.
Great Job! Young man.
Beautiful
He is the man, wish I could work like that.
Great job!
good job boy san
Dude! Your video answered all my questions on how would you fix a issue like that. 👍 How much for the body parts. Hell just let me know how much it cost you all together for repairs?
Good job.
Wish I had a friend like him
Beautiful job!!!
My mind is blown🙌❤️
Wow, $74K! Could have bought a new one, lol. Good work on the car!
Beautiful job! You must have body shop experience somewhere along the way. Did you make those wheel stands? Perfect for the C8.
Great job! I know who where to go for my body work now 👌
