Being a C8 owner from northern Utah and having had mine for almost 2 years and driving it quite a bit I can 100% tell you that what you are seeing is not typical for cars from here. I am super sad to see what happened to your car Mike. I had hoped to see it around Utah, but after seeing the damage I’m glad I didn’t. Best of luck getting it sorted out!

I would just leave the lowering kit on there. Plus I don't understand how it is costing $400 to remove the wheel spacers... that should take around a half hour to talk the wheels off, spacers off, and retorque to the proper spec. I do understand the other issues though
That's why you need to look at every car before you bid or buy. I sold my C7 last year. Saw it about 1 week ago. It was torched. Very similar to your situation. But it is the new buyer's car. Obviously, he took vastly different care of it vs how I did.
Mike, sorry your Corvette was treated so poorly. I freak out if my C8 gets water spots on it. Can’t figure out how someone could beat on such a expensive car. I’m sure you will get it the love it deserves.
Yes, so true. Did it once myself -- just once took the easy way out and trusted the dealer, the previous owner and some incredibly devious but beautiful photos -- and got taken to the bank. Didn't pay much, so not a total loss, but put 6K into it and it still didn't run right! SO ALWAYS get an independent mechanic to go over a car if you cannot be there in person, and even then drive it to an independent mechanic yourself before paying a dime! Ouch!
Doesn't surprise me with a Corvette. I bought a new 2001 with 3 miles on it, and found that the "sail" panel behind the removable top was shifted to one side (from the factory). GM and high quality do not go together.
@SirGriefALot I took it to the local dealership's auto body shop. The manager told me that there was nothing they could do, since the panel was permanently bonded at the factory.
The fist mod would be to get rid of the wing and get the standard ZO 6 wing. FYI, lowered or stock if you pull up to a concrete curb stop you will hit the splitter. Should have ordered front lift. This video is the number one reason I never buy used.

I see the videos on you tube. Sitting there burning the tires down to the rims in a cloud of smoke while doing donuts. That is what i would buy an 80,000$ car for. Idiots like that deserve to have big $$$ repair bills. No sympathy.
Unrelated to this video, I went to your online shop and purchased three electronic documents related to purchasing a car. Though you charged my credit card, the download link you provided did not work. I emailed your company twice to report the problem, and got no answer. I ended up disputing the charge with my credit card company. Unfortunate that I experienced poor customer service with your company
I would have never bought my sports car back! Once it's gone it's gone it will never be the same as you can see people never take care of a vehicle like you would!

Out of all those “issues”, im just more intrigued about the clear coat issues in the CF parts. Are these OEM bits? There is really much an owner can do to cause that to happen in a year or 2. Leaving the car outside certainly isnt ideal for any car, but a failure in clearcoat this early for doing so for a year or 2 only means the parts themselves arent that great to begin with.
