@@kimpa843 ; I've read your comment and the one that came to reply to you and I'd rather take a less emotional approach then both of you(getting irate with eachother). First of all, all religious beliefs, even Satanism(the belief in ones self that you describe) is based off of "old gods/old holidays\old symbols etc" it's all adapted and melded to form what they use to represent themselves. Their music definitely creates a spiritual experience & connection. Their music helps me through so much of life, from the dark to the light, struggles to joys. I found them through a tv show & I’m so grateful. I have a lot of physical health struggles & they help me push through.
Ivar and Einar sing with the story of the eldar. They bring the stories of old to the now. I can't always know what they're singing, but I feel it. From the north of England.....Skal!
My main problem with Einar is that I want to listen to everything single goddamn millisecond of music that he creates, and that he somehow makes THAT hairstyle attractive....

At the end of the song I can hear this rumbling, building bass sound at the bottom, which becomes more and more powerful by the second. Every musician increases his dynamics and it explodes on the echo you can hear just for a second after they have finished the song. It's amazing! I can feel how you are playing this song with such passion because of it. I really like this acoustic version. The entire performance is fluid, an aunthetic gift. Thank you.
I share Einar Selvik's songs with my Facebook friends in Nigeria and Morocco. They love it, and Moroccan music sounds quite similar to Mr. Selvik's work. A lot of people aren't aware of the amount of contact the Norse had with North Africa and the Middle East, but there are numerous historical documents of it that are supported by archeological evidence.
It's truly amazing! And some of those folks came back with the Vikings voluntarily! There's even evidence that shows that Old Norse and Sandskrit have similar etymological roots. It sucks that people cover it up so that the Vikings and their culture can continue to be a white supremacist power fantasy. The Vikings, and the people that came before them, are more than a balm for insecurity.
