I went to Wardruna’s concert in Stockholm in 1st December... well, Einar’s voice touched my soul. Best experience of my life. Thank you.
Was there as well. Probably the most impactful live performance my eyes and ears have ever experienced.

@@marcferre1257 My grandfather was very Christian. Like a pastor type. My grandfather immigrated from Norway in 1922, Viking to the hilt! Was an artist at 93, actually very good artist. I loved my grandfather. He tried everything (activities), he had blessed life but hard.

Einar... it's hard to describe how powerful the experiences are of hearing him and Warduna songs. Top of my music list solidly since I first heard them. The songs just never age. They're fresh every time I listen. I pity those whose ears just can't hear the magic he weaves.
I saw the most beautiful Northen Lights, last Sunday in Iceland and this music was playing on the same time. I will never forget this moment.

Nothing better especially when i am in a dark place mentally then going out into nature , where only animals visit and sit with a beer at the camfire , self build shelter , looking over the lake and residing rivers , listenening to wardruna and einar. Rly gets me to appreciate nature on a different Level. 😢❤

I hate how people just think about grabbing an axe and killing people when listening to these songs. Like, is that all your mind boils down to? The song doesn't even make any mentions of blood or war, rather contemplation, sadness and melancholy.

That's because that's what people think of when they think of Norse. They think raiding Vikings and killing because of tv shows. The Norse were so much more like traders and explorers. Thanks to my Germanic ancestors for paving the path for future generations. Best we can do is do right by them.

Einar is unique and also have a special & pure sound, he is awesome without doing any weird things , he's naturally great
Einar has to be the best example of a drastic genre change for a musician I've ever seen. He went from the drummer of a black metal band to this. It's absolutely remarkable how versatile some musicians are.
Not sure if I'd call it 'drastic', considering how common it is for black metal musicians and listeners alike to also be massively into folk-inspired music like this - at least here in Norway.
Not that drastic. Perturbator played in blackmetal band before taking turn to synthwave. Take a look where Ulver went musically. Devin Townsend's jorney beginning in Strapping Young Lad, then he created whole heavy metal opera. Klayton from Circle of Dust to Scandroid. How Trent Reznor went from Pretty Hate Machine to creating music for NASA Juno mission promo video or Watchmen series OST. Hell, even Gaahl went soft in later years while still making interesting music.
Don't get me wrong, i am not questioning Einar's talent, definitely not his ability to create awesome and beutiful music and yes i very much like Wardruna, i even had the luck of hearing them live and it was something i won't forget - ever.
But it is simply not that huge transformation as you think. Call it evolution.

Like an intense interactive emphasis of wave-like sensation of emotions. It's definitely not easy to put this music and these voices into words.
Even though I have to pull up the English lyrics to see what's being said. When it comes to anything from Wardruna they make you feel the music without really even having to know the lyrics.
I have had several times where I would listen to one of their songs for a long time before seeing the lyrics in English but the song has always been what I thought it would be. Only band that seems to happen with to me.

Always thought this was the best song on the album, and I thought just from the emotion it had to be sad. Looked up the lyrics recently and I was not wrong. That last line always hits me, so fucking beautiful

its okay to have differing music tastes, so I get it. I have family who ask wtf I'm listening to when they hear this and Heilung playing and why i'm not listening to english music and I just tell them "Cuz music is universal and speaks to me in a way some rock bands can't."

When a group sound as good live as they do in studio, you know that they’re the top tier artists of the era.
Been following y’all since 2012, still just as enchanted by your music as I was when I first had the pleasure of hearing it.
Hearing the guitar with the sublte sound of wind followed by the drums and the choir always give me goosebumps. Always. The instruments are so well choosed and Einar has this gift to touch your soul with his voice. Thank you for gifting us with your music.

Ever so moving and inspiring. Einar and Ivar's creations in Hugsjá and Skuggsjá is one of the most beautiful and powerful music that has existed.
I saw you in Paris in 2019 and I still remember perfectly when you explained the meaning of this song before playing it. That was so ... moving, almost overwhelming, and it's by far one of the best memories I have from gigs. So thank you again (and see you in Clisson ;) )

I just lost my mother after she suffered major brain damage from falling down the stairs, when she was going upstairs to bed. She had recently turned 64 and was just starting to enjoy her life of pension. I had the luck to see her the night before she fell, but to see my mother completely well, to the day after getting the call at work about her state. Has torn my heart to shreds with grief and anger, but finding your music has helped my heart feel at ease when i listen to it, especially this song. I'm deeply grateful for you and the band giving us tools in the form of music to deal with our challenges in life. Thank you!

That means hes making a baby, The Norns was the ones that oversaw everyone's fate, they spun the treads of everyone's life, if you died early you had a short tread at the Norns.
