I appreciate that you include your sparring and failed attempt portions of your videos and shows that's your not perfect. Love the videos keep them coming.
I like that left hook, pull, head kick. It seems like it would work really well when they shell up. Also I already do the jab cross liver hook but Im gonna do it much more often...I think Ive been underusing it. I get too obsessed with throwing variety, and dont throw enough of the stuff that is simple but works, even if its a bit repetitive. Btw I REALLY appreciate you breaking down Glory fighters. And sorry I havent commented in awhile. Ive been watching and liking the videos but I just havent had time to post a comment I think was good enough to be posted.
How I imagine your recordings go: You: Hey guys, I wanted to record a video about this guy... Your sparring partners: Jesus Christ, what are we getting hit with TODAY?
You have good weight distribution Jeff. You understand how to get power in your attacks by using movement to create momentum. This is rarer than you think. I see so many fighters trying to win by using muscle. Ive always found success by throwing my weight, using body mechanics. It takes less effort to throw almost any attack this way. Great tips aswell, without a doubt the best channel on combat ive come across so far. Looking forward to seeing you become a champion in the MMA arena. The peeled guard was masvidals undoing in his last couple of bouts against usman. I wanted masvidal to win aswell. The question mark kick seems to get people off guard as they dont expect your reach to be extended by your heel basically moving around giving you an extra 3-4inch reach.
The face of the guy sparring at the minute 9:05. 😆😆😆 He goes excited about checking your low kick but then BAAAAAMM!! THE QUESTION mark Kick right to the chin and he knows he's totally defenseless Lol priceless.
I never heard of functional style bending. I have been training for 6 years and i have very frequently use these combos en there indeed very effective. Just find it fascinating how this style is so old and unknown, but still really seems to be the natural thing to do when i "fight"/spar. Just fascinating

Guys just a tip. For the lead leg snap kick to make it more effective fake a jab. Follow that jab with a real one. Fake it again to make him try and slip. Once he slips do the lead leg snap kick
How about the goat, our lord and savior mike jackson? I heard the legendary moonwalk is his signature move it can ko 50 mark hunt at once and dont forget another one of his signature move "getting fired"
Again, amazing videos, I wanted to suggest making one on stylez... but here I am impressed again, GJ, your channel should be way bigger. Thank you sir.
MMAShredded 😂Haha, you gotta be fast. I’ve only landed it once, but it sent me falling to the side because of how fast I threw it. High risk, high reward
If you miss you can follow up with other kicks, particularly when your opponent is moving back, e.g spinning hook, back kick or double roundhouse kick. We use this as an attacking strategy in tkd
Yoel real champ anyway..I give whittake credit for Hart butnyoel just toys with people and let a them throw everything they got while he enjoys himself on defense with occasional explosions..yoel real champ I was see him vs izzy..
hey @mmashredded if i can give you a little tip: I notice that in 5:44 you're REACHING to land that cross. My advice would be to take a slight step forward when switching your feet if that makes sense... so like, when you're switching your feet, what you're doing is just literally switching the two feet but they land in the same place, so you're not actually stepping forward like you would with a jab. so when you switch, i'd advise you to try to make your back foot land a little in front of where your front foot was. does that make sense? that way you stepped forward, while at the same time switching your feet, and that way you won't have to REACH to land that cross.
Have you tried setting up a tornado kick by conditioning your opponent with spinning back kicks from southpaw? The start of both kicks look similar, so if your partner sees you start to spin, and tries to grab your foot...
Re: the tornado kick being hard to score in sparring - it's because you are sparring in an open space, so they can just move away from an extremely telegraphed technique (which a tornado kick is by it's very nature). If they had no escape - i.e. ropes or cage behind them - then you'd have been better placed to land it. Great video btw.
Tip for landing the Tornado Kick or any spinning kick: Only use it when your opponent is against the ropes or cornered. It'll be easier to land because then they'll have nowhere to run.
Another great freaking video!! Ps. Tornado kicks I found are only effective after making them fear your low shots and faking a spin side kick. You love them liver punches 😛. Me too
One thing I noticed about the tornado kick with Israel is that he throws it when his opponent is up against the ropes. A good example is Kim Loudon where he didn’t really have him against the ropes so he missed the kick. With Nase Foai, he had him against the ropes while kind of feinting his left hand and spinning counter clockwise. Just a quick detail for everyone to land the tornado kick🔥🔥. Watch everyone start throwing tornado kicks in sparring after quarantine😂

MMAShredded damn i would not have guessed that, i'd put you in at more like 175 doin a huge cut each time. gonna have a ton of power at 135. thanks for the reply bro, abrupt. that's tight.
I've connected the tornado kick plenty of times in sparring it's all about setting it up right, I usually try to do it after I've landed mult combinations or I've been mixing in body kicks with with my boxing I time it when they usually throw theyre guard up. Or when you got a oppenent who lands heavily on there feet/ flat foot leaving them little mobility. But I literally practiced this kick over a 1000xs to the point where I'm comfortable throwing it anytime and both southpaw and orthodox
The Tornado more correctly named the "Jumping spinning roundhouse" via Taekwondo is definitely a hard kick use IF you dont set it up with other kicks. I love your videos man just wanted to share how i found the kick to be most usefull
