      I have an 18.5 inch neck and I am 6'1. Talk about a double whammy when it comes to ties. Extra long is the only way to go.

    Hi Kirby. I love the way your ties look and seriously thinking of buying a couple. The one hesitation I have is with all the ties I buy they get wrinkly in the spot that the knot is ties. Do your ties have a long life element to them?

    I recently purchased the Green Ancient Madder tie and Burgundy Diamond Ancient Madder tie. Could you please advise the best color suite for these to match with?

    These are beautiful! I've been waiting to see the Hanger Project's tie assortment grow.
    QUESTION: I'm curious, how's the lining on these ties? Is it thin? Is it the entire length of the tie or only mid-length like vintage ties from the 1930s & 1940s?

      Owning 3 of their ties now, I'd say the interlining is on the thinner side and helps the tie drape nicely (also makes it easier to do a nice knot).

    That burgundy/navy rep tie is more beautiful than Brooks Brothers. Well done! Will you have more rep tie options?

    Hey Kirby,
    Why no love for bow ties?
    Do you own any Cravats, and what occasions would they be appropriate for?
    Cheers

    Absolutely beautiful collection! My Sovereign Grade blue grenadine striped tie just arrived today and I love it (that now make 3 Hanger Project Ties). I was going to ask when some of the madder ties would join the collection, but I just saw your instagram post. I'll make the pitch again for shorter ties for men under 5'9" (but I understand that may be too niche).
    Also, open question to anyone - I recently realized that I tie my ties a bit differently. I start with the slim blade on the left (which consequently means I just inverse all of the motions for every knot), does this matter, or am I just overthinking things?
    I've just found that it feels more natural to loosen the tie when I tie it that way (I am right handed - in case that matters).

      Alexander Soto It shouldn’t make much of a difference which side you begin on. What kind of knot are you tying?

    • @alexnw6050
      @alexnw6050 5 років тому

      @@kirbyallison , on most days the old bertie knot, but depending on the tie and collar type I may use the kent/simple knot or a four-in-hand. Nothing too complex.

    What is the width of the ties?

    • @kirbyallison
      @kirbyallison  5 років тому +1

      zerominuseleven The 150 cm standard ties are 8.5 cm and the 160 cm long ties are 9.0 cm. Standard, classic proportions.
