This is typical of Southeast Asian cities where pedestrians are sometimes inadequate, because people usually use vehicles. You know it's very hot here,People go out and walking only at night :)
Welcome to the land of Malaysia. Stay safe and comfort. Food was tremendous here. Hoping you would be around until our country Independence Day coming on 31st August. It's a great celebration. The weather was hot and humid. But it will be down to normal 29-31°C towards the end of the year. Where it is the most raining which sometimes it takes a whole day or days.
Feels like you're on the wrong side of town to get a 1st impression of KL. Try a more central area like Bukit Bintang and near the KLCC, Merdeka Square area etc
Talk about the heat & humidity - grew up in a tropical city & 'sweat' came out of the walls, left 45 years ago definitely not miss it !!!!!! Good for losing weight though.
Sentul is not touristy, but there is a few activity that you can do esp on weekends. There will be Tiffin @ sentul depot, a kind of food market on the weekends. You can also visit Pasar Sentul, wet market for food. Also Batu Caves and some of the nature parks are nearby.
You are right about the pavement suddenly disappearing from your walking path. As a Malaysian I found that pedestrians are not taken care as well as the motor vehicles.
that sidewalk "disappeared" because the developer who "developed" the area had to push the old road to the side to make way for the overpass they built. since the old road was already that close to the rail line, they had to "sacrifice" the pavement. pedestrians come as an afterthought, if at all, in malaysia. so yes, please highlight these sorts of things because the powers that be tend to listen more intently to you folks than to us locals.
yes, the street is the sentul link (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentul_Link) that i use to travel to/from my sister's flat in bandar baru sentul around 1km from the sentul train station. i do appreciate comments that would help us improve our cities and countryside. keep 'em coming! 😉
Sentul district is definitely further off from where all the action is, though there is a nice park there Sentul Park which includes a Performance Art Center
I think Its high time for govt to upgrade or refurnish KL Sentral...its looks a little bit run down..it use to be one of the best transportation hub in Asia before
Local government looking to upgrade the kl sentral because the visitor has reached 200k people a day, the kl sentral designed to support 100k people only
Its against the law to cross that road. If you see a divider means you cannot cross. People might be angry seeing that. You stayed out of the city centre thats why there is no proper sidewalk as people use car heavily and its just a waste of public money if government built a sidewalk as no one will use it with that scorching heat.If you stayed inside the centre thats it easy. If outside than You can use grab car (uber of South east asia) and its cheap
Your hotel location is bit far from center of kl and transportation...the train you just took is komuter..it is train for outskirt of KL and the most slow than other lrt or mrt
Great tourist selfies! So nice to see that you really love filming yourself! Yes KL itself actually rather boring not much to show from here, hot and humid etc. No need to turn your camera around... Keep up the good selfie work and welcome! And of course Air Asia, nothing for you....
Thank you for this wonderful video. Welcome to KL, Malaysia.
Thank you very much for the kind words! Many more Malaysian travel videos to come 🙂
@@benbrazyoutube Wonderful. 😄

Yeah I noticed the streets get much busier after the sun goes down!

Amazing, I would absolutely love to experience that but unfortunately I will not be in the country at that time. Maybe another year!

Yessir i explored other parts of the city in my next video and it certainly was very different. Quite the diverse melting pot of a city
ask around about anything, that will help a lot.
Yessir i will ask around more next time 🙂

Hahaha yeah the humidity is brutal, I was not built for it. Nice to experience for a while but I always love retreating to cooler climates

Beautiful, thank you very much for all the tips and recommendations!

Ah really eh, that's a shame. I don't think I had that problem anywhere else in the country fortunately 🙂
"Cartoonishly little leg room"! Love it. Guess those seats are not designed for ogre-sized flyers, eh? 😂
Hehehehe gude juan. Yeah it ain't easy traveling while tall
Welcome man. Hope you have a good time in Malaysia. 12 years ago is a big change. Enjoy ❤
Thank you very much for the nice welcome! Yes things certainly have changed a lot. Beautiful country ❤

Ah wow interesting. So you actually know that specific street? I'm glad you appreciated me pointing out what I saw

Ouu nice, good to know. Thank you for the information!
climbing on the road , yes i do that all the time, don't sweat it.
Oh nice, good to know!
welcome back to Malaysia🇲🇾. enjoy 🤗🌥️🍹
Thank you very much!
Welcome back to Malaysia 🇲🇾...enjoy your staying 👍
Thank you very much!
To cross the road you should use the bridge nearby
Ah ok I didn't see the bridge. Next time!
MRT sequence & speed better than ktmb plus the station not far away from that hotel too.
Ah ok, thank you for the information. I wish I knew that before 😅
I think Its high time for govt to upgrade or refurnish KL Sentral...its looks a little bit run down..it use to be one of the best transportation hub in Asia before
Wow really! I wish I'd seen it back then

Yeah I had no problems with disappearing sidewalks anywhere else in the city 🙂
Welcome.. pls Enjoy and stay safe
Thank you! Will do 👍
You made the correct decision by seeking for a low-cost hotel and transportation.
Thank you sir! Yes that is always the decision I make 🙂
yoo you need to see surrounding and respect cars on the road during jaywalking as some area you cannot do that.. the people might angry though..
Yup I was as careful as possible given the disappearing sidewalk
Why you made a J walking crossing a highway?. You used the sidewalk that no people usually uses. Its more for maintenance purpose.
Ah yeah I wish I'd known that before I started walking along it
That is jaywalking on the highway. Never do that. Just continue walking straight until a road junction. No choice.
Well I couldn't continue walking on that side of the street and I wasn't about to backtrack 20 minutes in the scorching heat
@@benbrazyoutube oh I see
Wow not many travellers stay at sentul
Oh really eh? Yeah it didn't feel very touristy 😅
The most creative tourist stay in Sentul...try a new things i guess 😂
@@mohdfazri573 haha yeah exactly

😂😂 I didn't get that last part. I think most travel UA-camrs film themselves, no? My camera was turned away from me for most of the video 😅
You sounds very tired?
Yes I was absolutely exhausted after traveling all night
U hate so many thing here huh!
Hahaha no no, just the legroom on my AirAsia flight and the disappearing sidewalk
Oh man, that highway crossing is extremely dangerous. Next time find another way please. Dont take the risk
Ok I promise to find a safer way next time 🙂
Oooooh my god. 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱 I'm scared just looking at how you cross the road in highway. 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Hahaha sorry that I scared you with that! It certainly wasn't my preference either
