~~~~~ Lyrics ~~~~~
Have you ever done anything like this before?
Have you ever done anything like this before?
If you’ve never done anything like this before, then you haven’t been alive
Have you ever shut all the open doors
Have you ever just walked on out on your own
Have you ever just lost your mind when you try to unwind or are you coming right back for more?
I’m here tonight
Promise me you’ll hold me till I die
I’m by your side
Promise me it’s gonna, promise me it’s gonna be alright
Ah-oh, ah-oh, ah-oh, ah-oh-oh-oh
Promise me it’s gonna be alright.
Ah-oh, ah-oh, ah-oh, ah-oh-oh-oh
Promise me it’s gonna be alright.
Have you ever been alone too much
Have you ever prayed for human touch
Have you ever just lost a little part of you to find a little something new?
Cross my heart
Till the sky turns red in the sunrise
Since you told me everything's alright.
Ah-oh, ah-oh, ah-oh, ah-oh-oh-oh
Since you told me everything's alright.
Ah-oh, ah-oh, ah-oh, ah-oh-oh-oh
Promise me it’s gonna be alright.
I’m here tonight
Promise me you’ll hold me till I die
I’m by your side
Promise me it’s gonna, promise me it's gonna, promise me it’s gonna be alright
Ah-oh, ah-oh, ah-oh, ah-oh-oh-oh
Ah-oh, ah-oh, ah-oh, ah-oh-oh-oh
Alright!
Cross my heart
Till the sky turns red in the sunrise
Promise me it’s gonna be alright
Be alright!
Alright!
The best song of Eurovision 2023 ❤. I love it!!
Eurovision Song Contest - Australia. Find The Mistakes! 😅
@@M.EngelhART Albania's song can win too
Don't care what the televote think, you guys rock.. From start to finish it just keeps rising with surprises everywhere.. Watching It live was a real highlight. You did us proud !!
I voted for them! They were amazing at the Grand Final!
.
This song needs to be at least twice as long as this. That guitar solo needs to be at least 60 seconds long. Voyager please produce an extended version. This song deserves it.
Sadly the Eurovision limit is 3 minutes. I'm a West Aussie and have never heard of them. Says a lot about Australia when they are huge in the UK! Brilliant Song, deserves the Win!!!
Exactly! Too short. As soon as I put my tush lol on a sofa, song ends. Have to be longer version.
it starts like a normal soft techno pop song, electronica elements and suddenly it ends as a rock song,,,,genius!
I mean to be honest it turns into a combo of power/melodic metal at the end as well :D such an interesting combination
I reckon this is the magic sauce and has something for most musical tastes. Sounds great and would love to see us win.
for sure! It's beyond me why this didn't win! It has it all!
Catchy chorus, nice beat, guitarsolo, nice voices and an 80s vibe.
But no... Sweden had to win.
That's really kind to say. Cha Cha Cha is fucking brilliant, an absolute banger.
Who the hell is kaarja
Mark my words, this will be the dark horse of ESC23, everyone is sleeping on it but with a good live performance this will be epic. Best of luck from Spain
When I first heard this song I didn’t think it was as prominent as some of the others this year, but the more I listen to it the more it grows on me. I love prog metal and I absolutely love that the genre is getting exposure on ESC! I also love that the lead guitarist is a woman, that’s so cool - she’s so cool! As a female guitarist I find that so encouraging; usually I only see women in bands playing bass… Rock on!! 🤘🏼
Yep, Simmy is awesome! Keep going with your playing 👍
OMG Australia is not playing safe. This is fantastic. Welcome back to the top Australia. 12 points from Romania
This might be Australia's last official entry, because they were invited by EBU until this year. Plus seeing their first hard rock entry rocks.
@@silvergir89 they should be and must remain permanent members ! Because they do shake things up. Notably with this song. It gives us a break from wailing songs. That's what I think. I like it
@@silvergir89 I dont think is the last year.The invitation can be renewed and it will be. The contest is to huge for Australia to not participate and they know it.
@@silvergir89 I think the EBU will renew their contract with Australia, if not let them be permanent Eurovision competitors. I think they did the original contract just in case Australia didn’t end up working well with Eurovision but with these results, I think the EBU will continue to allow Australia compete in Eurovision.
I can see why Voyager are closing one of the semi-finals, this song will blow the roof off of Liverpool Arena!
Another Finn here! As much as I wish all the best for our Käärijä, I gotta say Australia's beats both Finland and Sweden in my humble opinion!
A first for me: I completely and unironically love a Eurovision entry. Can't believe I had never come across Voyager before! They're so far up my street they've double parked and are blocking traffic...
Look, I'm Croatian and I know everyone's abuzz about our shock entry. But musically speaking, this is light years away, by far the strongest entry. I mean, prog metal at ESC!! No brainer - 12 points go to Australia! 🇦🇺🇭🇷
I liked yours entry. It's original, sounds funny, has a nice staging. I really prefer a entry like this instead of a safe pop entry in English when it don't show your own culture. But yeah, Australia is sending an absolute gem for ESC2023. Have a nice week! Greetings from Portugal 😁
Hey! Croatian song is perfect for this time on the world! I like song very much.... 12 pts go to Croatia! From Slovenia!! 🥰🥰🥰🤗🤗🤗🤗
@@youtubemetdehalfjes8945 Hey man, I said that as an avid prog rock and prog metal fan, having explored over the years the whole spectrum, from Ayreon to Zeuhl-genre madmen like Magma. DT is my favourite and you know they also have powerful pop-sounding songs, which almost always retain some prog-specific elements such as guitar or keyboard solos, just like Voyager in this song (I mean, including both - in a typical prog metal style, albeit short - is a feat for an ESC song!). They correctly style themselves as a progressive pop metal band. Some also call them a synth metal band. Actually, they sound quite similar to Haken (check their song 'Earthrise' to see how pop-sounding a prog metal band can be).
Your entry is entertaining though and that is what ESC often comes down to. I don't think musically most talented groups tend to win that often, Often something simple that speaks to people or just entrainments does.
I'm a huge fan of prog metal and I love that Australia put out a prog metal band considering they have a well known scene of prog metal bands . But voyager isn't going to win. Musically it's my favorite, it's what I would listen to normally anyway, but I don't see them winning. Still It's great that they are participating.
I'm a prog rock/metal fan and I'm not happy for it. There are better bands in Australia, like Alchimest. And it's just a pop song.
This dark guitar riff combined with the light voice of the singer hit harder than you would expect. Absolutely one my personal favourites this year.
GO VOYAGER!! So glad you are representing us. The 1:54 took me by surprise and I love it
As a long time Voyager fan. I’m so incredibly proud of how far these guys have come. Was gutted when they didn’t get through to represent us last year but I’m so so glad they will this year. Let’s go Voyager! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Long time Voyager fan here as well. Help this American understand though. When the video dropped yesterday, I thought it was their entry for the Australia contest to see who gets to represent. I thought they got screwed last year with Dreamer...winning the public vote but the judges going with that other guy. Was there no contest this year? Were they just picked to go straight to Eurovision? In either case, I'm really excited for them!
It doesn’t matter what Australians think, they can’t vote for it. As a European with voting rights, the song is 1000% fantastic, Voyager have had a following in Europe for years, and a lot of the feedback last year was that their entry should have gone through instead of whatever it was you sent. The verses are amazing, but the chorus is too bland. 😢
This is actually very good, I do not understand why is everybody underrating it so much. It is a brilliant song
Big same, I know it's not everyone's genre, and there are a lot of absolutely ass metal entries in Eurovision history lol, but this one is well written, well performed, well recorded... the fact people are enjoying Blood and Glitter more than this, or Blind Channel a couple of years ago, is a mystery to me
Everybody is just overrated.
@@xandermark7588 Because Blood and Glitter is a pop song disguised as a metal one (which is a shame... the metal intro at the beginning was very cool, and it would've been an amazing song if they had just continued with that style for the rest of the song).
@@xandermark7588 Also, the chorus and the instrumental of this song are amazing, but let's be honest, the melody in the verse is all over the place... it pretty much changes every five seconds or so, which results in its sounding chaotic and disharmonious. I've noticed a lot of Eurovision songs ─ especially this year, for some reason ─ tend to do that, but this one does this more than others.
Australia always sends such good songs! I really hope this won't be your last year in eurovision 🥺 love from Spain!
why should it be their last year?
@@Niki91-HR because we were only invited for a certain amount of years due to the fact that we aren't part of Europe. The reason we are allowed in the first place is because our country has been broadcasting it for over 30 years religiously, so as a token of thanks they included us in the competition. Hope this helps!
Thank you so much for supporting us. I find mostly the ESC audience is kind to us, but sometimes people (include Australians) question our inclusion. But for those of us who have been watching ESC for decades, it means the world to us to be included 💞
