On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

Have you ever looked up the one at Zhukovsky on google earth? Across the way from it is the MiG 1.44. Last time looked, there was also a possibly dead Su57 parked back there with the other derelicts.
It'd be cool to see a scenario with The A-10C and F-15E working together while directly competing and comparing in action! VS Couple Mi-24's, SA-5, Strela's, Tunguska, SA-8, SA-11, and Couple SU-25's! Plus provide ground cover against .50 Cal Technical Trucks, BTR's, BMP's, T-72's, and Couple T-90's!🙏👍

The SU-47 is such a unique and beautiful aircraft.

its my personal favorite plane ever built, I have loved it since I first saw it. Thankfully, the sole Su-47 built still exists although its not in flying condition anymore but its complete and kept looking nice. Wish we hadnt lost the Su-37, that thing was a beast.

Is there a reason he didnt maddog his last AMRAAM? If a dogfight is a death sentence, and the enemy is that close and you're fumbling with the radar, why not just let it fly?

@@traviswalker8933 If he fired after he failed to get a boresight lock yeah. But when his super search wasn't working, the enemy was far enough away for a maddog shot to track.

@@kencadby6586 It doesn't search a wider area, but the enemy was right in front of him and in visual range. The AIM-120 should be able to see that no problem provided the enemy isn't too close like after he locked the wrong target in boresight mode.

I used to work with a former Ruski soldier while doing contract work overseas... he pronounced it "Bear-Koot" or "Byehr-koot" (with his accent). He was from Pskov Russia, NW of Moskow so he might have a bit of a Baltic accent/

Those bullet impacts sounds like airgun pellets on the tinroof, not something big caliber autocannon rounds. I thought it would really sound like something huge bang as they are usually HE and HEI rounds.
When you're wearing a flight helmet that covers your ears, to shield your hearing from the noise of your own aircraft, any sounds not coming through your headset are drastically muted.

Should have been a dogfight between the SU-47 and F-15 Active with the vector thrust. Because the SU-47 was only a test bed for technology that would make it into the Russian 5th(4.5) gen fighter

Surprised the F-15 didn't jettison it's bombs to lighten itself, makes the whole thing feel a little skewed. Sure it couldn't compete the mission but better than a failed mission and a dead plane.

I always loved reverse swept wing aircraft. Apparently they're extra maneuverable at sub and transonic speeds, but have very poor performance at supersonic speeds.

I doubt it would have changed the outcome, but I think standard procedure in such a dire situation would have been to ditch the bombs with the tanks.

Yeah, your best bet once merged woudl have been to what, Drop the tanks AND THE JDAMS , and go vertical with as much power as possible, then try one pass on him perhaps from up high, since he likely didnt have the energy to climb like a eagle?
Either that, or turning and dropping everything and running at full speed- a eagle at full speed can't be really caught up to if running cold even from 7 miles- once he passes you, by the time he turns you're more than 10 NM away if going all out - it'd take a Eagle or Foxbat/Foxhound to catch a Strike eagle then
your one benefit on him is speed/power presumably, gotta use it to get where he can't go , or to run away

The pronunciation for Berkut or Беркут starts pretty much like Air just with an B so "Bair" and "kut" is spoken with a short u like in uniform. Would have loved to see them in mass production and movies.

Berkut is starts by sounding like a cross between “beer” and “bear”, kinda combining “bee” and “air”. The end is more like “coot”, though slightly shorter than how we would say that “oo” in English.
A good way to listen to pronunciation that I’ve used whilst living around the world a lot is google translate. It’s a little tricky writing the correct word in Chinese, but for most other languages it is generally quite easy. With Russian,Ukrainian, Serbian, and Belarusian, it is helpful to learn the Cyrillic alphabet, but not essential. When it comes to the Georgian written language, that’s more confusing still and is far beyond my comprehension, but it looks kinda nice.
