Hey guys.
In this DCS World Simulator video I'm in the F15E Strike Eagle fighting against Sabre in the SU30 Flanker (Thanks for the help buddy) in a BVR fight. Hope you guys enjoy!
I love playing simulators, I started with Arma 3 and then I saw DCS World. I also enjoy War Thunder , Battlefield , Ghost recon, Squad , Rome total war, Microsoft Flight Simulator and more. I also enjoy World War II games including il-2 In DCS World i found all the jets that i wanted to fly in a simulator the F 16 Viper , FA 18 Hornet , F 15 Eagle , A 10 Warthawg , SU 27 , Mig 29 , P 51 , Spitfire , AH 64 Apeche , Heuy and more... And if you will download MODs the options are endless: F 22 Raptor, SU 57 , A 4 Skyhawk , SR 71 Blackbird , Rafale, Gripen and the list goes on.
My PC Specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor 3.40 GHz
GPU: Geforce RTX 2080ti

You could perfectly see on the RWR that the missile was in front of you and came closer and closer.

I'm always interested in stuff about the F-15E in an air-to-air role. I know it's a secondary mission, but I'm always curious to see how much of a fighter there still is under all that air-to-ground dressing
It's the best BVR platform in DCS currently. Only to be surpassed by the eurofighter... but that goes without saying. Longshot just isn't a good BVR fighter in general, so he could've done so much better, he was definitely overdefending.

Yea, GS's anti Russian bias is beyond obvious. I've heard him talk s--t about Russia in general several times. How could anyone think GS would post a fair and honest fight between Mig's or Sukoi's against Nato aircraft...

I find the Russian missiles with their waffle vane fins kind of weird. Seems like it would be more drag than a standard fin.
They perform great until you get to transonic range, Mach .8 - 1.2 and then poorly.
I've wondered about that, too.
I think they are much more efficient at hypersonic speeds, SpaceX uses the same thing on their rockets
They have almost no drag if angle is less than 3 degrees
In subsonic the drag is pretty similar to standard fins, in transonic is worse and over transonic, so above M 1.3, the are actually better
I would love to see the mudhen where its strength lies with a good WSO helping with a complicated threat environment. The pilot doing all the work of a single seater but having to deal with the bulk of a dual seater doesn't really do the strike eagle justice.
As long as it isn't Jester! That 🤡 can't operate radar worth a tinker's damn and he's always punching out at the first sign of trouble. 😆

always appreciate advise and tips from more experienced players, and your video work is insane. Only thing, you are not paying any attention to the missile steering dot, is it because you are so caught up in battle or does it just not matter that much?
You never say things like, i think i might be safe, this looks like a safe bet to defeat a missile, etc......That pretty much guarantees you'll get hit, haven't you learn from GS? lol

The Strike Eagle with her Powerfull Radar combiened with "Aim 152" would make her to such a beast in BVR Longrange fight, Sadly USA canceld the AIM 152 project...

You get 13 degrees extra gimbal range in STT, and that’s extremely valuable for cranking.

Round one was ugly. You recommitted just in time to see that R-77-1 fly into your face.
Round two had me on the edge of my seat saying "You have to win this before the merge." and sure enough, you did.
I will give Sabre credit for his performance. He flew like an absolute beast.
Longshot, I cringe whenever the advert runs - the audio is very distorted. I hope they can give you a better version, without the distortion in the high frequencies.
That last 9x was crazy man love that kill, in fact the first kill was just luck.
Here are two questions for you LS- I'm not sure how this works in DCS.
Can you- change the load out missile wise on the F-15E pre-flight?
Depending on the mission parameters or is it just standard programing quantity wise for
the F-15E regardless. Based on the pylons available X# of Bombs for ground attack, missiles for air to air.
I do see that the SU-30 carries more missiles (12) on its frame compared to the F-15E (8) missiles.
I also noticed that the SU-30 does not have any extra fuel tanks. I sorta know how
the F-15E burns way more fuel, but with the extra added weight does that hinder
you in flight performance in a dog fight? Would those extra pylons used for the fuel
tanks, be better used with more amrams (2-4) or is the extra fuel vital to the F-15E?
IS it important to you when you defend- to go totally cold, turning off your radar when
using the terrain to mask your recommit? Thanks for the kool video.

A missle truck vs 30 random planes? Do they have advon? Someone to guide them if not, not a chance, f15 are not stealth and carrying a bunch of missles won't help either.
I would suggest 2 of those against 4 mig31K carrying r37M see who wins then.

Do you think you could at the bottom of your notch / crank when you still have him locked up while he is defending that you could send another Fox 3. I feel that if you do that and just stay out of radar acq. that the missile will catch him and go pitbull during the recommit while he is searching for you on radar?
And on further thought it would appear on their radar that you are still defensive which would make them play more aggressively and have a pitbull missile in their mouth.
Not really, high chance of just being a wasted missile because u don’t have the enemy within ur ASE so missile isn’t aligned properly. Also you would be launching from lower altitude, i.e., denser atmosphere bleeding energy from missile
The F-15E may not b a good dogfight, but it holds up well in BVR. But this makes me wonder. Would the F-16XL have been such a slouch in the dogfight as well? My gut tells me no, that it would actually still dogfight well.
Curious what if a Strike Eagle did a BVR fight with a F 15 EX missile truck vs strike fighter
Since a EVR strike eagle vs C model isn't really fair (i'd love ot see an A model vs c model dogfight , but DCS doesnt have the A )
But yeah, you should try a BVR fight against the Missile truck with the E!(or the other way around!)

Would it be helpful if you’re faster let’s say M1.1 with a higher altitude when you fired the first fox three, felt like he has been able to shoot from higher altitude to you most of the time

I'd like to see what the Strike Eagle would do against 4th and 5th gen planes using the AIM-260 as i'm sure those missles will be used on that plane in the very near future.
