Danny, Did you know that the MGM took exactly 360 days to build from Start to finish. It is really incredible to think that it took 1 year to finish. It opened up on the 360 day. My best friend was doing the tile work at the MGM and he worked 18 hours straight the day before it opened.
I stayed at Silverton about eight years ago. I enjoyed it. Nice rooms and good service from hotel staff. I haven't stayed there since, but that's not a reflection on the hotel. I usually try to stay in different or cool newer hotels for a different experience on each visit or, when possible, I book a unique Airbnb rental for my stay. A few years ago, I stayed off-strip in a beautifully maintained, vintage 35-foot 1953 Spartan Mansion travel trailer on a private gated property. An awesome experience!
Nice room. I hate when Hotels put the trash can below the toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom. I always move it to another part of the bathroom. You never know what may happen... but the room looks very nice.
I really like this room. Very ranchy vibes…. Not raunchy, food and travel , guys, food and travel😅. Is there a shuttle to the strip from this property? Perhaps you can do a follow up of what the rest of the place looks like. What kind of restaurants and such. Thanks Danny. Great room tour.
I've always liked the Silverton. It was even better when it was the Boomtown - they used to have this ridiculous Strawberry Shortcake for like $2.50. Ah, 90's Vegas...
Wife I stayed there. It was great. Love the Asian restaurant (WuHu Noodle) there but I wish they had a couple of better offerings. We went to Twin Creeks and it seems like the two servers that were helping us, one seemed like a manager but she had no idea where things were located and the server (clearly being trained) had no experience anywhere else and should have been shadowing someone for more time. She was lost and with the person training here not know what they had or where things were....nightmare. I ordered one drink, she bought one for me and one for my friend and didn't bring him what he ordered. We hadn't even ordered food yet and they were so frazzled, and the place was quiet as this was off-season and at an odd hour. it was a strange experience that was pretty frustrating. Love the hotel overall though. right size and even when busy you feel like you can easily disappear to quiet rather than being stuck in the chaos of some of the huge resorts where it is a 10 minute walk to even get away from people.
I remember when this Casino opened up and it seemed so far away from everything....I did eat at the buffet and I was surprised how busy the casino was with people who had RVs
I'm always shocked how people complain about the rooms in Vegas. Staying in a hotel room is like being on a cruise ship. People who go to Vegas don't go there to sleep...as long as the room is clean that is all that matters.
It is a very nice look with a rustic and classic statement vs generic "clear and bright" room look and tone. Have you done an study how much one must spend or lose before receiving comps? Does receiving comps pay off losing money? Does winning too much money or too often or too consistently reduce comp offerings?
I love staying at the Silverton. There are three different styles/themes of rooms. My favorite is the “cowboy kitsch” one. Nice little quirky touches. Aloha!
I hope the cactus doesn't have sharp needles. If it does, it's a lawsuit waiting to happen if someone gets up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and bumps into the cactus and sustains injuries.
Wish they bring back the buffet. One of the best & it was always busy. The Hawaiian and Seafood nights were the best by far.
I like the tile in the bathroom and the cover over the air conditioner. Genius! I never liked looking at those. Great job highlighting everything!❤❤❤
Very thorough room tour. Thank You!
I approve of Danny’s extremely practical pants
Nice room review, thanks for the video and presentation. Keep it going for the holiday season, DTM.
Great video DTM !
scary dark colors .... I like my room light colors and clean feel
Nice comfortable room but hands off the goodies! Enjoyed the room tour, thanks for sharing Danny!!
Nice room renovation. That’ll take out that cactus as soon as the first customer falls into it in a drunken stupor and surs
Love the hotel reviews!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

DTM would make a terrific tour guide and can be stand by medic at wild parties.

the restaurants need old school manager like Todd!

I drove to the M resort last week, and WOAH I thought south point was south!
There was no highway to Henderson in 1980 and it took 1 hour to drive down Boulder hwy...and going West Rainbow was the last Street
So DTM, do you prefer the new modern chic or the old country bear jamboree look of Silverton??

I used to love to go to the lobster buffet every Monday night at the Silverton casino. Since covid no more.
