I wouldn't stay there in a million years - unfriendly bar staff, a lock that didn't work, bland decor...and an insane price for the room. As always, a very good and honest video.
Probably cost them under $10 for that case of mini waters. I would have angrily rejected that! It's a shame their compensation apparently is that we'll just offer this cheap water and see if the sap takes it.
To spend nearly 2,000$ for a suite and all they gave you was a mini case of water! That cost the hotel maybe 12$ but m sure they’re getting wholesale prices. Thanks for another thorough review ❤
This is exactly why I now go the the UAE and stopped going the the USA. No tipping, unbelievable service, spotless 5 star accommodation, super safe everywhere the list goes on.
I was unhappy with the Wynn customer service for a room reservation issue, the manager promptly comped me a tower suite studio ($3000/night) without me asking. Based on your experience I will never stay at the Fontainebleau 😮 terrible customer service from top to bottom.
Hi Tim, Texas here. Been to Vegas multiple times. This one is way overpriced and definitely not worth it. I'd definitely make a complaint about the door key situation. I also can't believe they kicked you out of the bar seat at breakfast. Beyond rude. Nope. Won't stay there. Thanks for sharing. Ps as a decorator, a nice improvement would be to have a couple of palm trees or similar mural in the shower. 😊😊
Shouldn't have had to ask should have been offered and way more than that. Honestly I think with the early check in being cancelled then faffing about with keys they should have apologised profusely, stated it was not their expected standard and then told him they had already refunded the full amount to his cc
No..he should have asked for a complete refund because he experienced this his entire stay... He should have been moved to a different suite immediately or had maintenance to his room immediately.
Yeah. Giving you a whole lot of water bottles just doesn’t cut it. You’re not going to drink it all. What are you going to do with it. Leave it behind of course. So they gave you a gift that they know they will get back… 😂😂😂
Yep, and although it can't really be quantified, the bad publicity this video will bring the hotel will cost them far, far more than $100 in the grand scheme of things.
I can't believe how rude they were at breakfast. Terrible customer service! And the key issue was just not good enough. They should have changed the battery asap for the price of the suite! Thank you for another great video.
Hotel looks very clinical, but I can see how some would actually prefer that. What's not good is the paid for early check in you couldn't use, the room key you also couldn't use, breakfast you had to rush, and the almost $2000 room bill. I'd have kicked off a bit tbh when it come to settling that bill. They can and should do better than some free water for that price.
Basically - don't waste your money on this hotel, in my humble poor opinion. The whole 'case of plastic bottles' (I'm a 90's girl, where's the 'sorry for the inconvenience fruit basket?!), them not fixing the door right away (you could've easily gotten locked in and out again!), and the whole breakfast rudeness ... Just go into the hotel and enjoy the design and art work. (Those blocks were amazing though)❤
@@Roadent1241 I know I saw that after I wrote the comment!!! I was having anxiety that he'd get locked IN - imagine if there's been an emergency! (Sorry suffer from anxiety) Unbelievable!!! And for that price!
I would’ve complained about the door and the restaurant situation You’re a sweet guest. You don’t deserve getting treated like that when you’re paying that much money for your hotel room just saying.🤷🏻♂️
Leonardo probably got on the elevator and asked the guy why he had such a big smile and he said Tim with Walk With Me is in this hotel talking to himself holding a selfie stick and he’s about to be on the elevator. Leo would’ve been totally starstruck
I must say for that money I would want complementary tea and coffee in the room. Also I don’t know if I'm the only one but I expected someone to still be in the room when the key didn't work, haha 😂.
Former hotel night auditor here - If your hotel room door key flashes orange (rather then the usual green/red) then it's usually that the battery within the door locking system is low. *As it seems they eventually confirmed the next day* I'd have been calling reception rather than going back down those lifts!
Soulless is exactly right Tim. Thanks for going so we never have to! It would take a lot more than a selfie with Leo to get me anywhere near the joint.
You were robbed. $1800 for a suite you couldn't get into, poor customer relations and a soulless hotel. I would expect something more than water by way of an apology for all your inconvenience.
Really would love to see true elegance, class, cleanliness and impeccable customer service return to our everyday lives….especially paying those prices for possibly a once in a lifetime trip for some. However, Vegas would not be my choice. Just really surprised people continue to pay more for less. Thank you for sharing your travels.
They should have given you a different room or at least discounted your room. I’m surprised they treated you like that at breakfast, the management needs to address this with their staff, it sounds like they don’t care much about their guests once they get your money.
@@WalkWithMeTim I honestly think you should do some LIVE vid when you get really bad service. I know you will not as your channel is a bit more mature than that but when you drop your 500k subs on the hotel they might have a rethink
Tim, how you were treated was horrific and is a huge mark against the hotel's reputation. I would suggest the exquisite Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas for a proper, elegant stay and review. They know how to treat their guests in grand style. Love your reviews, Tim! You are phenomenal!!!
Great video as always, Tim! The hotel blended nicely with the skyline and looked clean, but I completely agree - the interior was bland and nothing special beyond the usual corporate feel. It’s unbelievable that maintenance didn’t seem motivated to fix the issue, especially for the price you paid. And making you feel unwelcome at the bar? That’s shocking. You deserved way better. Looking forward to your next video!
We stayed there for 4 days last March 2024. I like Fontainebleau. It's nice, clean and modern. I would stay at Fontainebleau again. The location is great. Love the restaurants. It's across the street from Resorts World and Sahara Casino. Walking distance to Wynn, Encore and Fashion Show Mall😊
It seems that they consider that part of the master bath, so it's the equivalent of a private toilet area (water closet) within a master bath (though in this case it's separate enough to be odd).
IKR! It promotes people not washing hands. Now imagine this: You stay in this room in a few years (i.e. 2028). Even if 1% of people who have stayed prior to your reservation didn't wash their hands, that would still mean dozens of people have gone to this exact bathroom, didn't wash their hands, walked around the same suite and used those dirty hands to touch every single object which you would now be touching!
@@severinjohn Logical answer: a bathroom sink to toilet ratio above 1. If there is a use for an additional toilet, then there would equally be a need for what happens 5 minutes after: an additional sink in which the person who was just sitting on the mentioned toilet would wash the hands with. In addition, there are more (and lengthier) things to do with a sink compared to a toilet which puts higher demand for a sink compared to a toilet. This isn't a matter of space & connections either since there is both space and existing water connection. Fontainebleau just simply cheap-ed out of paying 1k for a 1M+ suite.
For the price, the service side was disappointing. I'd be embarrassed sitting outside my hotel room, waiting for them to break in. The hotel should have given you another room, knowing that the lock wasn't fixed and is going to give you trouble again during your stay. Maybe its bad luck, but you essentially purchased a defective product. You have a lot of patience Tim.
In the old days (when I was a kid) the rooms and food were very cheap. The hotels made their money from gambling. Obviously their business model changed.
Yep - I liked that. But the $100 beach-club fee is an outrage, and I wouldn't pay that much for a single night's stay. Breakfast? I want an hour, with good food, three coffees, a WiFi signal, and some quiet while I read. Good video.
Such a shame, as for the luxury price paid, you should have received a luxury experience. Thank you for always creating these honest and informative videos!
If a hotel is looking to build its reputation they should have said we have refunded your stay, makes no difference to them but anyone that has a bad experience tells loads of people. If i ran the hotel, i would have give you 100% refund for the farcical check in process.
I agree. I stayed at a resort and the gardener started to mow the lawn right outside out balconies at 7 am.. couldn’t sleep in..the hotel refunded 50%, when. I emailed their management…
When they handed you the complimentary water, I had flashbacks of us running out of candy in the 1980s during Trick or Treat season, so my father started handing out nickels to the kids at the door..lol
Tim. Tim. Tim. I’m not one to make a fuss when service is submarginal, but whew 😮, if I were to have this experience, it would have tested my patience. You needed either an apology, a refund of some kind, or both for that fiasco of a stay. So much of your time was eaten up by their shortcomings. Hoping that your next stay makes up for this one. 4:57 this happened to me but at a different hotel. The key for some reason worked for another door, but not the door to my room. And it took a while for them to fix it. Even then, it would stop working every once in a while for the rest of my stay.
This happened to us at our last day at Harrahs Las Vegas in May. We were there five nights in a suite diamond plus not that it should happen to anybody at any level. Anyways, we got locked out a total of probably 10-11 times. We honestly lost track. We had to go from the mountain Tower to the diamond desk every single time and I still hadn't had my knee replaced so you know how I felt😢 they finally changed the battery I think after the 5th or sixth time. Security apologized but it kept happening. Unacceptable son of a b**** es. I can't even believe staying at Caesars properties for over 30 years and this s*** kept happening 🤨 completely unacceptable every time. I went to the desk. They just looked at me like here's your key and that was it. I called my host and he just said he was sorry.😮
You're too kind! From the start, you should have demanded another room with a functional entry door... and stood your ground to tell that barista "No, I'm still finishing up here, but thanks so much for asking, it makes me feel extra special!"
The bottles of water as compensation was weak. Experiencing maintenance issues and inconvenience like that compromises their claim of a luxury hotel, they should have made it up to you properly and generously.
They should've offered you a late check out, complimentary drink at the bar, or some credits to use for breakfast. The fact that the most they gave you was a case of water is actually wild.
When you were talking about Leo, your hair which was going sideways looked much much better! You looked younger! Grow it about a cm and style it with wax. Seriously!! Re the hotel, it reminded me of those super large cruise liners. Thanks for the vids- always enjoyable
The standard rooms I've seen look far better than the suite in my opinion. I would absolutely have wanted some kind of compensation for the inconvenience though.
I would've raised hell with the management for the lock problems and your treatment in the restaurant. My wife is even better at this and would've tried to get the whole stay comp'd. You're just too dang nice, Tim! :)

I wouldn't stay there in a million years - unfriendly bar staff, a lock that didn't work, bland decor...and an insane price for the room. As always, a very good and honest video.
Complimentary water for not being able to get into your room?. You should have declined it and said "I accept champagne though". What cheapskates.
It wasn't even fancy water. Costco water with their label slapped on it! 🤣
Lol
agree. lousy customer service at best. downright insulting at worse. ("just ...here go give him this package of water. that should do it")
Probably cost them under $10 for that case of mini waters. I would have angrily rejected that! It's a shame their compensation apparently is that we'll just offer this cheap water and see if the sap takes it.
Even a cheap Travelodge hotel would probably have compensated Tim better, possibly with a few cans of Irn Bru.
26:32 - no thanks, not for me. I can pay far less and not be rushed when I'm having coffee.
I also found people at Wynn very helpful.
Tim you should have asked for resort credit $100 minimum, or money off the room, that key issue is ridiculous
So they gave you a gift that they know they will get back… 😂😂😂
Even Luxor game me $100 credit for having to wait an hour for check in. And I’m sure I didn’t pay more than $200 for the room
Yep, and although it can't really be quantified, the bad publicity this video will bring the hotel will cost them far, far more than $100 in the grand scheme of things.
Given the way you were treated that’s 1 hotel I won’t be staying in on my next trip to Vegas. Good review as always Tim.
I can't believe how rude they were at breakfast. Terrible customer service! And the key issue was just not good enough. They should have changed the battery asap for the price of the suite! Thank you for another great video.
Pour un français, c’est affreux… merci cher Tim, vos reportages sont merveilleux.
You should be refunded if you paid extra for a service you didn't receive
Completely agree 👍
They managed to make it look clinical and tacky at once.
@@LVQ-so5th My thoughts exactly, but I can see how some people would like it even if I wouldn't...
The service they gave you was terrible! I'm sorry ❤
no windows in the bedroom area, a room that size. That’s insane
He did get locked out again, he says at the end, too! Bloody ridiculous they thought "eh we'll change the battery in the morning".
@@Roadent1241 I know I saw that after I wrote the comment!!! I was having anxiety that he'd get locked IN - imagine if there's been an emergency! (Sorry suffer from anxiety) Unbelievable!!! And for that price!
Beyond simple propriety, it also posed a safety hazard. What if the guest had a medical emergency?!?
Fruit baskets need a comeback asap
@rabidrabbitshuggers What's that gonna do? Especially if you can't get at it?
I would’ve complained about the door and the restaurant situation You’re a sweet guest. You don’t deserve getting treated like that when you’re paying that much money for your hotel room just saying.🤷🏻♂️
Extremely rude of the waiter to ask if you were “done” at the bar! 😮
I hope you didn't tip him
I would NEVER pay that much money for any hotel room, even made out of gold, what a waste of my hard earned money🥶
Leonardo probably got on the elevator and asked the guy why he had such a big smile and he said Tim with Walk With Me is in this hotel talking to himself holding a selfie stick and he’s about to be on the elevator.
Leo would’ve been totally starstruck
😍😂
Wort part of the Leo Story is that.. He has Fled the country since the Diddy situation... The guy lied
I’m surprised they treated you like that at breakfast, the management needs to address this with their staff, it sounds like they don’t care much about their guests once they get your money.
its like because i was on my own and not spending to much a couple deserved my spot at the bar lol
@@WalkWithMeTimyou are still a guest at the hotel and should be respected, they don't know how much you are likely to spend

3:43
That was pretty rude of those 2 people to not let you out first
Great video as always, Tim!
I hope you’re having a wonderful day today Tim, thank you for the upload it’s always a pleasure watching your honest reviews!
Thanks
We stayed there for 4 days last March 2024. I like Fontainebleau. It's nice, clean and modern. I would stay at Fontainebleau again. The location is great. Love the restaurants. It's across the street from Resorts World and Sahara Casino. Walking distance to Wynn, Encore and Fashion Show Mall😊
Why would the install a toilet without a sink to clean your hands?
Right?!
There is an available sink not 7 steps away in the kithchen/minibar area. How many sinks do you need?
Definitely giving this place a swerve!
Surely they should have given tin another room, I would have said that to the female who was on her phone at the door
I think it was exceedingly rude to more or less kick you out before you’d properly finished your breakfast. I can’t believe it!
Given my dislike for Vegas I’m convinced only Tim can get me to watch videos from there and make me actually enjoy them. Another great video!!
I agree its a good video to watch. I would not want to go to Vegas beyond driving down the strip and the me mega hotels have zero appeal.
LAS VEGAS IS A GLITZZY SLUM....I LOATHE IT....THAT HOTEL WAS LIKE BEING IN HELL WITH A BUNCH OF OTHER PEOPLE BEING PUNISHED FOR THEIR SINS...
Not keen on the flowers!
In the old days (when I was a kid) the rooms and food were very cheap. The hotels made their money from gambling. Obviously their business model changed.
Not a holiday Hotel?
You are a supreme person. I would not have been so polite and as classy as you. The price that you paid was not worth that.
Wow… how do I say I’m entitled without saying I'm entitled? I would have said, “No, I am not done,” just on principle.
Yep - I liked that. But the $100 beach-club fee is an outrage, and I wouldn't pay that much for a single night's stay.
Breakfast? I want an hour, with good food, three coffees, a WiFi signal, and some quiet while I read.
Good video.
Yup agree, it seems that they do not know what service means
Water as an apology, think they could of done better than that Tim, cheapscates enjoyed the vlog, congratulations on your new home x
Hi Tim, when you first couldn’t get into your room I wondered if the previous resident hadn’t left!
Your videos help so many of us Tim, thank you 🙏.
Such a shame, as for the luxury price paid, you should have received a luxury experience. Thank you for always creating these honest and informative videos!
The chrome artwork a drunk lady smashed into it 😮
If a hotel is looking to build its reputation they should have said we have refunded your stay, makes no difference to them but anyone that has a bad experience tells loads of people.
Wow, case of water for all that trouble? Do better Fontainebleau.
Should have comped breakfast at least and a free drink. Mini water you can get at Walmart...not even Evian or Fiji. This was piss poor service
Tim. Tim. That's a shocking price to pay!! Wynn is still the best hotel in Las Vegas. Exceptional service and quality, for us. We also enjoy the Venetian.
Pro Tip: If that ever happens, that's the reason there are phones in the hallways. So you don't have to go all the way back down to the front desk.
And if you're deaf?

4:57 this happened to me but at a different hotel. The key for some reason worked for another door, but not the door to my room. And it took a while for them to fix it. Even then, it would stop working every once in a while for the rest of my stay.
Crazy 😂X
Thank you Tim for your hard work & honest reviews. Much appreciated and take care
Much appreciated
You're too kind! From the start, you should have demanded another room with a functional entry door... and stood your ground to tell that barista "No, I'm still finishing up here, but thanks so much for asking, it makes me feel extra special!"
The bottles of water as compensation was weak. Experiencing maintenance issues and inconvenience like that compromises their claim of a luxury hotel, they should have made it up to you properly and generously.
i was supprised but i did get through the water lol
They should've offered you a late check out, complimentary drink at the bar, or some credits to use for breakfast. The fact that the most they gave you was a case of water is actually wild.
Waste of money to stay there. I’m sorry people are so rude to you Tim. Great video thankyou❤
