Frederick Fiber Fest Recap (and Maryland Sheep and Wool Preview?) - Yarn Journeys Episode 17

Spring fiber festival season is in full swing, and this past weekend I headed up to Frederick, MD for the Frederick Fiber Fest. In this video, I share footage of several of the exhibitors, many of whom will also be vendors at the 2203 Maryland Sheep and Wool festival as well as Yarn Centrick. As always, I talk about my current works in progress and any new yarn journey!

The fiber festival looked like a blast! I also bought yarn from the Brooklyn Tweed sale. I knitted a sweater for a friend for X-mas out of their Imbue and it was so squishy and lovely I want one for myself. I also picked up some more of their shelter yarn. I have knitted many things using shelter, I love it. I have never done a tubular bind off, sounds like it isn't worth the effort. I haven't been to any yarn festivals in a while, but tomorrow is Local Yarn Store day and I plan to go to mine and buy some yarn and stuff. Thanks for sharing your journey and I look forward to the next one.🙂

Hi Carin! Lucky you at the Brooklyn Tweed sale! I must admit I got to it a bit late in the day so some colors were sold out. I am eager to try Shelter for myself one day! I’ll be heading out for LYS later today. My intention is to keep any purchases to notions . . . We’ll see how I do! 😁
