He would've been a great addition to the Battle Network series. Just imagine a Navi without an operator try to destroy the net for some philosophical reason. Then after Lan and Megaman beat him, he gains a fascination for fighting Lan and Megaman. Threatening the net just to get Lan and Megamans attention and battle.
True. Later in Battle Network they started lifting more characters from the X series (like Colonel and Iris), so Vile would actually fit in. The Sigma Virus would also have fit in as a final boss, ironically even more than in Megaman X
@dmnapier7 funny thing is that the exe timeline is actually better suited to combat and delete Sigma than the X timeline! The Maverick Hunters were all about the physical threats, not so big on the cyber warfare. ...as long as Sigma doesn't get a physical reploid body in the exe timeline. He'd pretty much be a starving lion in a kindergarten. Enjoy that mental image.
On project x zone uses Vile from the original games, mixed with his MMHX charater and throws you a reference to the manga. When he faces X for the last time, before dying he start to question why X is the true MegaMan 's successor "it should be me". We don't know if he learned about Megaman during the game or has been a thing ever. But X is also confused by Vile's last words.
Zero referred to him as being designed as a war machine...I believe that was Viles original purpose, having been built to fight wars, maybe to fight against reploids that were corrupted/controlled by humans in some past and largely unknown conflicts/skirmishes, and he likely quelled said battles abruptly and efficiently. Since there were no more wars to fight, he was repurposed as a Maverick Hunter...but his old programming often resurfaces. It would make sense in that context why he would want to fight Sigma and the Mavericks...but also the Maverick Hunters themselves. He is on his own side, fighting a war in his own mind, where no one is right or wrong. He doesn't see any morality, he just lives out his purpose to fight. @@RockmanHQ
Theirs not much else to say.... but its hinted that his creator is the infamous Robotics Engineer "Dr. Rusty Venture" hence the V on his Helment, not to be mistaken to be "V for Vile." He is Ventronic Mk 4.
Honestly the best way to make his story matter is for him to successfully kill X and leave him wondering why its not satisfying enough potentially searching for a grander purpose. Some of the best antagonists and anti-heroes start out like Vile with some turn making it clear their story only was beginning.
I am quite surprised that Vile didn’t get more screen time and it took 5 games until his return. Easily one of the most underrated characters. I love these type of secondary antagonists that have no other goal but a personal hatred for the main protagonist.
One thing of note: Starting in Mega Man X4, it's possible to fight some of the Maverick bosses while using Ride Armor, such as Magma Dragoon, Vanishing Gungaroo, and Bamboo Pandamonium. While it is possible to make Vile take a dose of his own medicine by using Ride Armor against him in Bamboo Pandamonium's stage... Wouldn't it be even more of a satisfying fight if the Maverick Hunters could have a Ride Armor vs. Ride Armor fight against Vile? If there is EVER a Mega Man X9, that needs to happen!
His name is Vava in Japan, which could also be what his name was before he went maverick in the American version. Though I do think the implications of him just being called Vile are funny.
i still wish X8 at least kept the cel-shading that X7 had during gameplay. i know the cutscenes had it, but all the models looked a bit ugly without the cel shading
Vile doensnt follow Sigmas plan much until 8... But doesnt have the Sigma icon in X8! lol But Does in X1 X2 X3 that i know of any other and x8... other then that i dont know of cause i never played the other possible games other then command mission!
"X, you shouldn't expect to defeat him, he is designed to be a war machine." - Zero to X after their first encounter.
My headcanon is that Vile got so good at piloting ride armor that by X8, he could accurately drive it with one foot. That's why he Captain Morgans.
Or maybe he has a Bluetooth enabled Ride Armor.
I wish we got more of the "Maverick Hunter" games. I kinda liked that he was redefined as not a maverick, just an asshole. Also, I liked his gameplay
He is the rogue element, the unknown variable no one accounted for. Dangerous and unpredictable.
I feel like he is more like a maniac instead of an asshole😂He just wanna prove he is the strongest and challenge everyone
X, X, X! why does everyone like that guy?
He is ourple/j
Are the three x On purpose? 💀
@@ジャウブ I'm not comfortable with where this is going. 😂
“Whatever! When the time comes, they’ll all know who the true reploid is!

Napalm man was the closest equivalent.
No matter how much time passes, Vile will always be my favourite side antagonist.

He also refers to him being, or has inside of him, a demon in PxZ2. I'd say they definitely pulled from the manga to get his personality.

Vile's life summed up in a film title: Requiem For A Dream
0:25
MMX1 came out in 1993, not 91.
I remember he is also in mega man battle network 1 as a poster which is pretty cool.
Watch after the end screen :p
The inspiration of Bobba Fett. I want to know more of this maverick.

This is now canon.
I quite like that. But the truth is, Vile was one of God's mutant prototypes, too weird to live, too rare to die. @@lancer737

I recently played maverick hunter x and I love playing as vile. A great showing for the first none light bot or wiley bot in the series
also you didnt mention his little cameo in one of Phoenix Magnion's attacks
It's very minor and was my original zinger at the end until I thought up the BN one lol.

"Not a Charge Shot!!"
~ Vile
I know the Ruby Spears Mega Man cartoon isn't canon, but Vile, Spark Mandrill, and X do show up in one episode.
I wonder if Vile was the upgrade of Bass. Both have the similar personalities of superiority complex and their dislike for X.
It jango...
Wait hold up how to trigger the last ditch effort in x8
Jever happens to me.

New vile meme: 16:07
"Look! A Mega Man!"
Spark mandrill: "a wild mega man".
"I'll show you how strong I am."
Nice to see a video showcasing how awesome I truly am.
The guys name was vile even when he was on the good side how do you not expect him to do some shady shit lol

I wonder what happened to Mark 3 and 4
Mandalorian Reploid. Now that's rad.
Here's hoping no one else in the MegaMan community turns out as Vile as Revo! I seriously mean it!
Vile, with that t shaped visor, he kind of looks like a mandalorian.😂😂
I wonder what a Vile.EXE counterpart would look like. Or Sigma even?
With Sigma being a virus, mixing him into BN would be easy, and they could have gone crazy with the design under that premise. Shame they never did.
I love Vile's design in X8, but it is really odd how out of character he seems to be
He kind of makes me think of a deadpool before he went insane.
I feel like we should get a video about manga X and how he rolls in the manga
cool video about vile !! I only knew him from X3 ~
Is he basically the Predator/Boba Fett of the MM universe?
Ohhhhhhhhh shit reminds me of Bobo and Jango/Bobo Fett! lol
Popcorn Demon...
Is vile the Evil/Gray/or hidden good guy?
Reminds me of protoman

Unknown.
