Scag fuel gauge repair

Repair of Scag fuel gauge that vibrated apart. I was able to flatten the ends of the rods and make them fit tight in the housing again.

I did it but it says empty still, put a light in there and my floater won’t float 😭

So the gage itself just pulls out?

That is correct. You have to pry it up from the tank. The gasket / washer holds it in place
