"2CELLOS will perform a concert as part of the new open-air Zagreb Classic Festival at the popular Tomislav square on 2 July 2016. Also appearing at the free concert will be a number of top symphony and opera orchestras, led by the renowned Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra." This was from that concert.
Luka (Sulic) and Stjepan (Hauser) no longer perform together as 2Cellos, but now have pursued solo careers. Don't believe there was any big "break-up" just family obligations, exhaustion and after playing together for more than a decade maybe a need for change. I do hope they will play together again occasionally and would love to see a special event (concert series or PayPerView) where they collaborate with Kevin Olusola. Can you imagine what *THAT* trio would create?!?!

I've seen these two in concert and the word I would use to describe the performance is "electrifying"! If you get a chance don't miss it. 🔥🔥🔥
Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser are classically trained. Both are gifted musicians trained in the London Conservatory. Sulic is married with 4 children. Hauser is not. Life style differences and touring demands caused the split. Both tour independently in classical venues. They gained wealth and financial security being 2 Cellos.
Thanks for your reaction! Yes, they are great guys. At first I was a little upset that I didn’t get to their joint shows. However, we have several excellent teams in St. Petersburg that also play like this.

"Mombasa"", the live performance at Suntory Hall in Tokyo - you have to watch/listen to this. These guys are rock stars. Loved "rediscovering" them with you! (suggestion - "Smooth Criminal" cover, official video version.Also.....also, also, ......♥)
They are phenomenal live. Unfortunately, the did their final world tour last year. You should check out their Arena di Verona concert here on YT, particularly Mombasa and The Trooper, plus Mombasa Live at Suntory Hall in Tokyo. Amazing!
Fortunately they left a huge body of work. Enjoy.

You should check out smells like teen spirit and the trooper by them also.
After years touring as Elton John's opening act and then on their own tours, the American tour was cancelled due to Covid, they have taken a leave from preforming with no announce plans for new music or touring. Watch the concert from the roman amphitheater in Verona, Italy. It is incrediable even on the small screen.
Insanely talented and the list of videos and live performances is long (Michael Jackson, Iron Maiden etc).

they have become bored, they need a little change
they will probably release a new album again in a couple of years
they lasted a long time, considering the total diversity of characters
Hauser is crazy like Mick Jagger, while Sulić is a much calmer guy
