Watching a video that has this calibre of quality and details you’d think he has been making videos for many years and has over 2million subscribers. So underrated page over here. Keep up the amazing work man. Earned a sub 🐐
finally a guide that is easy to understand, thanks a lot. i started to do some league races after a 10 years break with F1 Games and those Setups where much more complicated to understand for now. But this guide is very good. Your channel should get more love
You're probably not gonna read this because I'm so late to the party, anyways, I just wanna thank you so much. I have been always confused what do some of the things really do. I've known how brakes work, how wings work and more, but I had no clue in like 60-70 percent of settings. I'm gonna try this tomorrow(well today, it's 1:15 am. where I live). You really don't know how much you've helped me, I've been playing F1 games with no assists for 2,5 years now(F1 2021 was my first game where I didn't use assists), and I've been gradually getting better, this year's game is the first one where I can on some tracks beat even 110 AI, but I never understood setups, thanks man.
This is brilliant. Have craved a simple explanation such as this for ages. Feel more able and confident to play about with these setting. Loosing th car under braking is a pain but you've explained how to get round that
You have my respect. You are doing great with this. it will be helpful if you continue this video with another where you explain what happens in the behavior of the car when we change a component in the setup and how to compensate for this change. Thank you! Im sorry for my poor English. I hope that you understand what i mean.
Thanks a lot friend. Your english was perfect! Yes it is something that can be worth a look at. I have something in the works that is similar enough to what you talked about!
Damn surprisingly nice guide considering the length of the video. Is there a setting from which you start/in which order do you start building the setup?
On the toe topic. So is toe out at 0.00 the furthest out the front tyres can go. And if you go up to 0.50 max does that bring the front tyres straight or pointing inwards etc This is where I could do with a diagram and what position the tyres are in at each end of the camber scale Same for rears..
All the way left is the minimum amount, which means the tyres are parallel to the length of the car. If you go the right on the settings bar (increasing toe angle) the fronts will point more outwards and the rears will point more inwards the further you go to the right.
Wauw finally i start to understand it :) Can you also explain about changing setting while doing the hotlap or when tires are getting worse. Think that in this there is a lot of speed and difference. The settings are not for nothing :) and i dont find a lot of info about that.
Sure. I will add that to my to-do list. Generally, as tyres get older, you want to add stability to your car and reduce rotation, because the rear wants to slide away and kill you. Things that you can do mid race are: more Brake Bias, Less On throttle diff or even braking earlier, etc.
my problem, is not about car traction/understeer or whatever, i can adapt to that, the thing im struggling is to do a race setup in which the tyres lose the same percentage or at least a close one... in spain for example, i have 30% on left side and 10% on right side, dont think its right and im struggling to get an idea of what to adjust
This was a great video for info. I would also like to know how your racing line is so pronounced? I never have a racing line look that dark/rubbered in
WOW, great video! 😀 I use a PC with a Ascher Racing McLaren Arturo Pro wheel and Simucube2 Pro. In the Grand Prix menu, practice session, once in in the car and in the garage, which functions/buttons do you press to have access to the car set up (fuel addition, tyre selection, wing adjustment, etc.) that you show in your video? Thanks in advance.
do I need to change it everytime I got to a different or the same track in different modes ? like lets say I play grand prix mode and change the car setup in monaco will it be saved on different maps as well plus will it saved on a different mode like multiplayer or a challenge mode ?
It depends. Where do you experience understeer? Corner entry? Mid corner? Or corner exit. Temperatures are uneven this year as well. Some track will destroy one side of the car, and thats normal.

Glad to help. Enjoy!

literally the video I needed the most, it's been 3 years that I've been playing f1 games without knowing how to setup, so thank you very much!!!

Almost 100 subs! Congrats!
mate you have blown my mind with some of these explanations! love it and keep up the great work
A video on how to build your own setup for races would be good. Like where to start first and do you set everything to min and work from there etc
That's a great idea!

For a setup from scratch I would go in this order
Wings
Suspension - arb - ride height
Brakes
Diff
Toe (in or out)
@@FormulaKai Thank you!

@@FormulaKaialso how much was your racing wheel? Just wanted to ask as it looks cool and i would like to get it
@@LA_Racing it's the cubecontrols csx-3. It goes for 2000$.

Just the nature of the game unfortunately. Spain is only right hand corners. So your left tyres will always overheat and wear faster.
This was a great video for info. I would also like to know how your racing line is so pronounced? I never have a racing line look that dark/rubbered in
You need to set the related graphical setting to highest. I forgot what it's called but it's in there.

@@sylvainlanoue2937 thats it. Enjoy!
So Toe out makes the front end more pointy, but too much could cause excessive tire ware?
Thats exact!
Can you also share your camera, calibration and FFB setups?
I use a slightly modified version of Jarno Opmeer's offset TV pod. I adjusted the angle slightly so that the horizon is at my eye level :)
do I need to change it everytime I got to a different or the same track in different modes ? like lets say I play grand prix mode and change the car setup in monaco will it be saved on different maps as well plus will it saved on a different mode like multiplayer or a challenge mode ?
Yes
Hi great video what i need to change When my car go understeer ? I had my tyres hot on the left sides rear and front but the other tyres is fine
It depends. Where do you experience understeer? Corner entry? Mid corner? Or corner exit.
Temperatures are uneven this year as well. Some track will destroy one side of the car, and thats normal.
On corner entry i don’t know what i need to change
Try these settings:
Stiffer front ARB
More front wing
More trailbraking
Thanks you i will try that
Wow 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Nice perm!
Thanks!
During a race the right tyres temperature is around 100°C ?
It depends on the tyre compound. The operating range for C1 - C5 are very different.
Here before you blow up
Thanks brother. You're too kind!
