His final moments of trying to help Leon stop the cult and do what's right is, in a sense, God's grace to let him continue to live and change.

Everyone saying Ada is less herself never paid the character any real attention. Her outfit is on point for the time, environment, and mission. She’s acting more like a manipulative spy instead of a quasi romance to Leon. And instead of just leading Leon on, she and Leon are self-aware that she uses him to advance her objectives, something the games never overtly acknowledge. They also have verified that she did offer Luis “amnesty” in exchange for his information, just like she was working an angle with Bertolucci in Raccoon. The ending was perfectly executed, because Ada makes the cognitive decision to betray Wesker, proving she does have a moral conscience rooted in her facade. Everything about Ada’s characterization was perfectly written, never leaving the audience to think she was doing this all on a whimsy like the original Ada.

Yeah I know it's not same person, I know that Capcom's way of doing this kind of thing is just simply to hire a real model for the 3D to get based on like a suit that can be worn and performed by anyone, but they always have the facial and motion actress the same as the VA with occasionally use stunt actor/actress for difficult movement. The Actress did an okay job on facial and body movement but her voice is soulless, it felt off not because the voice changes, the actress just can't act as Ada properly on the voice aspect IMHO, especially with that added volume boost because she sounds soooo lazy. My gut feeling says the actress just has 0 experience in Voice Acting but is quite alright with visual acting (with movement stuff). If they hire someone who can act more and have more experience in voice acting, it might be different.

I disagree, the original knife fight with Krauser was a lot more spectacular and Leon was actually able to give Krauser a hard time while in the remake he gets owned with ease with Krauser even saying he is disappointed. And yeah the way Leon almost breaks Ada's arm who counters with a cartwheel only to be bloced again by Leon's knife to her throat was also more iconic imo.

The actress just….sucks, it just doesn’t fit RE4 Ada at all

Ada voice acting kinda sucks
This right here the fight between Leon and Ada, perfect example of what's wrong with the remake, in the original you had the cool suspenceful music kick in, awsome camera angles and slowmotion, cool overexagerated movements by both characters, charming banter, in this one the music is vomit, voice acting is soulless, the choreography is decent but camera work is static and boring, there's like two angles from the side and from top and neither one looks good, changing back and fourth without rhyme or reason, oh man and the color pallet in these remakes is the definition of bland, Leon way overdoing it with the stabs, sometimes less is more, in the original Leon aserted his dominance in a single move, in this one he's like a larper swinging his wooden sword with no regard.
The original was a cheesy action movie that a lot of fans hated cause it ruined the serious nature of the series
Now they remake the game to have the more serious feel of the original games and you fans are mad that it’s not a cheesy action movie
Another great example that gamers will never be happy about anything and it’s best to ignore them completely

I love it too, good acting and finally voiced by Chinese with that specific noticeable flavour in the voice
