This time ? In original and remake she always still has .
RE6 will always be my favorite arch for Ada, because she’s no longer tied down as a undercover spy, she fully commits to her humanitarian nature as a vigilante.
She was being honest with Leon about the Family instead of trying to manipulate him into her game, she relies on him more as an ally than a ploy.
And she uses her spy persona properly against Simmons and Carla, manipulating them instead. While still watching over Sherry, and saving civilians where she can. That was the real Ada that had been hiding deep under her facade the entire franchise.
She even admitted to helping Carla take down Simmons had she not been so evil, proving the woman has a soft spot for most humans.
She’s also the one who puts a complete end to the suffering, she witnessed the last C-Virus clone trying to break out, and she stops it literally for humanity’s sake.
The world may burn a little, but it will never end under Ada’s watch. She’s honestly a more compelling hero than Chris or Leon because Ada had to overcome evil inside to become good.
Would love an RE6 remake just to see all this in action again with her new look.

Example: Her new voice does not match her current character model. Literally took me (and many others) out of the experience.
I only love those RE games where Ada is in. We need a full-length game or movie with Ada as the main character!
The keep this as the secret card. But seem they don't even need to use this. Because RE 4 remake is now a blockbuster. And there's other series still need to remake. Maybe Ada will come out if all remake series are done.

@nintendogamingchannel1007 I need to watch it again later but there seemed to be some more story involving the villagers. I think Rose was being held by the woman who lost her husband in Louisa's house, the one with the head covering. Also there seemed to be some more of Elena and her father, most likely showing what they endured when the monsters came to attack. But none of that footage appears in game. They did that with RE4 Remake too though. They showed us Ashley running in the night down the entrance to the village, appearing to be running from someone or something because she keeps looking back. But that also did not appear in game.
Would have been weird for her to be in a game without Leon being present.

Somehow I really like RE 6 Ada. She's a bit old. But still pretty with matured look. And she portrayed as emotionless and kindness at the same time. That's rare to see. Maybe RE6 was the most updated version in RE lore and story.

Genuinely I love Ada. Ik there's a lot of contreversy around Ada's RE 4 remake voice. I think actually hiring an Asian voice actress is fitting and perfect. And I do not wish to insult Lily at all. However, I feel like part of Ada's character was always her mysterious, yet almost slightly playful (?), teasing energy? Like, you're never sure whether or not she's with or against you. And whilst I feel like Lily's voice does fit, Ada's sound almost emotionless? Which yes, she's a spy, but I feel like maybe it doesn't fully fit her character to be THIS cold and desinterested? I love Lily's slightly more smokey voice, in comparision, and I don't even think Ada's needs to sound seuctive af, but I feel like a bit more emotion would fit well.
The problem is that Capcom didn't hire an Asian voice actress, they hired a TV/Film actress that has literally never voice acted before bc she was cheaper. There are TONS of talented Asian VAs in the industry, but Capcom didn't want to pay for them. Jill Valentine in RE5 and Rebecca Chambers in RE0 are voiced by Asian American VAs and they did great, no one complained about different ethnicities voicing these characters. The issue less about the sound of Lily Gao's voice and more about her performance. Ada doesn't need to sound seductive for people to accept it, she didn't sound seductive in RE2R. Ada's RE2R sound of voice is actually pretty divisive, but the reason there was no controversy is because her VA performance was not bad, Jolene Anderson is a BAFTA nominated VA. So the reason Ada sounds emotionless is because Lily Gao as an actress doesn't emote well when she speaks, even in her live action stuff I've seen she relies much more on her face while her voice is always pretty flat.

I feel many people make this about racism when it's simply a performance issue. I agree with you. I do not think the harrassment and hate she faced is okay at all and I think it's terrible that this happens. I know she's definitely faced racism among other harrasment. However I feel like people aren't even allowed to criticies her performance.
@@alexsilverstar629 Yeah it’s a totally different art form in its own right, Game of Throne’s Peter Dinklage is a multi Emmy winning actor, and was invited to do some VA work for the game Destiny. The fans hated the performance so much the company actually got a different VA to patch all his lines. Peter Dinklage couldn’t even do it and he’s a way better actor than Lily Gao. I agree, no one deserves harassment, unfortunately that behavior isn’t exclusive to RE but all popular IPs. I feel like if the harassment was going to happen it would have been more productive if it was towards Capcom, bc it’s ultimately their fault for being cheap & putting her in this position. Although, I feel like she should get a bit of blame for knowing she was unqualified and still took the job with the privilege of it being handed to her, logically when you take a job you’re unqualified for it doesn’t usually end up with good results. I’m sure she did get some racist comments, it’s the internet after all, but we absolutely should be able to criticize her performance for a game triple A game we paid for, and how can she ever improve is she is just showered with false compliments so her feelings don’t get hurt? The main issue is not about her race but about her performance, like I said my previous post, Jolene’s performance was good but the sound of her voice was divisive, I guarantee that if they got a new Asian VA who was a good performer and had a similar voice/cadence closer to Sally Cahill and Courtenay Taylor most people wouldn’t not have have been complaining. It’s so frustrating now that bc of Lily’s post that her defenders are now trashing on past versions of Ada as if Lily’s portrayal is somehow more progressive, really her performance is just flat and wooden. Literally when you listen to Ada’s RE4R in other languages majority of them sound way better than Lily and closer to Ada’s character. Like if Ada’s character is suppose to become sooo emotionless now then why does her same Japanese VA still sound the same from RE2R to RE4R?
@@FunkayJunk I have to say, that as a native german, I am usually a fan of the english version, however when watching a compilation earlier, I gotta say I realized I prefered other languages more. It's not even that I feel she desperately needs to be replaced, but I feel like she still had to work on her performance. And considering the harassment she faces, trying to differentiate between that and genuine criticism seems to be hard. Some people genuinely want to help her and want her to improve, others wish her harm, however currently everyone thinks anything other than a compliment is hate... And yeah, crapping on former Ada VA's really is a shitty thing to do, we had some very good ones through the years.
@@alexsilverstar629 After seeing the compilation I think Ada’s Russian voice was the best and will do my next play through in that language lol I mean I would be ok if she’s replaced just because Ada my favorite character and I would want the best for her, at-least someone with VA experience. Most TV/Film actors take VA jobs mostly as side cash, they are much more focused on their live acting career where as people who do VA as living are much more underpaid and undervalued. If this was her first VA job on a new indie game then it wouldn’t be such a big deal, but on a triple A game for a main/iconic character of course will get attention. There were other characters in RE4R that weren’t amazing either but those characters will never show up again, if Lily doesn’t care to actually go out on her own and take VA classes then this is what we’re going to get if they remake RE6 or if she’s in another mainline game. Apart from her poor performance, I didn’t think her and Leon’s actor had any chemistry at all. And with all the mix of harassment and criticism is unfortunate part of the entertainment business, she probably didn’t think that the RE games has such a large following , but if she expects to further her TV/Film acting career, this is kind of something she has to learn to deal with as it has happened to various actors of all different races and genders alike, literally happened to Chris Pratt when he was announced as Mario’s VA

RE4 has the most realistic voice but lacks of charming.
Everyone else in the remake has personality, Ada in the remake sounds like she’s not trying or bored in most dialogue. I still love her voice in certain parts

She's a top secret spy who's trained to not show emotion and Lily nailed the nuances of trying her darnedest not to show any bias or weakness which can be exploited by her enemies. Some slight emotions peered through when she was with Leon but she contained it as anyone with invaluable information would. People who are so upset with Lily Gao's performance need to take a step back and see how well she portrayed Ada.

In the RE4 remake she did none of that like any previous actress, especially did in the original, I understand it’s a different actress for each game but the ones who came before did it in a way of class and was a tease, you couldn’t tell if she was caring or using someone. That’s how you seem mysterious and you could leave it up for interpretation. You don’t have to sound disinterested and bored to be mysterious. She’s had personality in every game, especially in RE6, she went through it all with her goodbye to Leon and Carla being cloned to look like her, she genuinely was disgusted and empathetic.

I just noticed this now but I feel like Capcom took inspiration from her alternate RE4 costume (or rather her Darkside Chronicles look and by extension how she looked in the OG RE2) and gave her longer sleeves and thigh high boots instead of heeled pumps. I'll missed the days where voice actors manage to give characters personality, flare, depth, and charisma through their voices. Nowadays we have to have "generic realism" in everything. Why? Because reasons.
Bro, I agree with you T_T. A lot of people have been praising the new Ada in the remakes because "realism" -- but no, not everything has to be realistic in order for it to be good and enjoyable! The canon was campy and a bit exaggerated at times but damn was the characterization top notch. As a hobbyist artist and writer this makes me so sad. Not a lot of people realize that the most important thing to be realistic in a story is the heart of the character and that the story doesn't break its own rules. Critical Drinker made a video essay on "Why Canon Matters" and it seriously made me cry a lot especially with the recent rise of remakes and reboots.

Ada was actually the GOAT of the original RE4, because she’s the one who stops Leon’s assassination and counter-assassinated Krauser.
As a spy, stopping an assassination is a great accomplishment, and killing Krauser cemented Ada as a deadly spy.
So they need to add more deadly scenarios in Separate Ways like her escaping the Lazer room and killing U3 to still prove that she is a superspy.
