I've got the same fish finder on my big boat. It stopped working last week, after checking all my connections, I took the unit off and took it apart... it had about 3 tbsp of water inside the unit! None of the screws were very tight. I'm letting it air dry for about a week and I will put a little blue thread locker on all the screws when I put it back together and hopefully it works. Just a tip, may be worth putting some blue thread locker on yours. I'm assuming they came loose over time? Or maybe the seals just suck on those? I really like the FF and hope it isn't ruined, it's very user-friendly.
I noticed that you tried not to show it too much but you savored the moment you took the film off the new electronics. It’s ok……I get it totally………Great vid…..I’m in the process of researching a new fish finder. I have a simple Humminbird 197C on my aluminum boat. I narrowed it down between the Humminbird Helix and Lowrance Hook. I’m leaning toward the Helix…….
I did not see you install a fuse? You just put the terminals on the ends of the wire to the battery and that was it. Honestly using this video for help installing mine and see the directions call for a fuse is why.
Dude that's pretty cool how you made the boat man keep up the vids
Awesome video dude. Its so cool watching this boat come together!! Keep it up dude.
Love the video!! Keep doing what you do!!
Nice! Always clean install.
Is there a reason you didn't install a fuse?

Damn , Jon Boat looks like a Bass Tracker!
Kinda late but it there anyway to hook up one of these helix fish finders on a wakeboard or bowrider type boat???
For test in my home can I just wire the fish finder directly to my trolling battery directc
cool thing! have a good fishing trip
Nice work 💪
Great job, I am planning on doing something similar. Do you have a build list for this project?
Hey me and a few friends are looking at getting kayaks how much was yours and what model
i got the big fish 105 and it was like 800.00 at the time
Thanks
What's your intro song man
Thanks a lot bud
Outstanding. That's has now increased the value of your boat now lol. So how much is it worth now if you were to sell it?
Do you connect the power directly to battery and the helix ?
You should put a circuit breaker or fuse between power and the unit…….unless the cord already has one built in…….
What size boat do you have?
It’s a 1436

Hope you are doing well :-)
I’m doing pretty good, how are you?
Those trailer guides will work a lot better if they are actually touching the boat.
