On September 28, 2137, Sevastopol space station was decommissioned.
Much of the population had moved on, but as all flights were subsequently canceled, a small portion remained, hopelessy stranded and awaiting rescue. Most had heard rumors of a creature stalking from the vents, while some others were isolated and left to discover for themselves, that they were being hunted by something.
___________
This is a a standalone scene and prologue to a film currently being worked on.
Recommended watching at 4K with headphones ;)
Shout out to Mike Tanaka
Dreadfully beautiful... I just loved those cinamatic shots and the way the camera moves; amazing job!!!!!
Thank you very much, Luca!
Dude this is amazing! I really think we should get a sequel. Also love the Alien's shadow casting onto the boxes at 2:23 :D
This is brilliant! Can't wait to see more.
Loved it. Very cinematic and well edited.
I wondered about that...if the facehuggers could attack the NPCs. I guess not? It didn't seem to try.
No they cannot. The humans are hostile to them, but not the other way around.
Goooood 🤩 even at the end with alien passing to the vantilation was perfect 👌 amazing production !
This is awesome! Such a great fan film! 👍
Oi, you decided to post this prologue! I thought you released the full movie, was really excited there! Anyways, can't wait to see more!
Ya, with the main project taking a ridiculous amount of time, i just wanted to finish a smaller video in the meantime because there was no room for this scene anyway. I didn't want the footage to go to waste :/
Really well made, never knew the guards could prey 🙏
I love this video so much. You do Amazing work/videos. I feel like I’m watching a short movie or an Alien Isolation Mini Series. I love this game so much. I especially love seeing the Alien crawling throughout the vents. You gotta wonder, or at least I wonder ,though how an 8 foot tall Xenomorph can fit in those vents and crawl around so fast in them?! I love these videos!
I really like this…… Like some kind of nightmare.
Theny need to make a new game of what happened before Ripley went into the ship
Loved it! I wish there was a way to make the Alien creep up silently behind the victims and not having screech at them, then when they spin around and get frightened the Alien grabs them and hisses and either kills them or drags them away. I think the fear of the creature is more impactful when it is silent than in its ferocious screaming and screeching. That is one of the most strong points in ALIEN, cause the creature only screeched when the hot vapor hits it at the end and when Ripley harpoons it. Aside those moments, it is a strange gurgle and hissing that we hear from it, and the hissing was partly used on ALIENS as well. They only screeched when shot, the Queen only screeched when in anger and at the end.
Huh, this is awesome, i'm pretty surprised. I thought about making a facehugger video there myself because you can make it run back and forth with the cinematic tools. But it would have been only a fun video, nothing cinematic as you did.
Damn, this is a really great concept with lots of great shots, i'm aware how much work it must have been to get and edit these. You deserve a lot of views and likes for that. It's a long time ago that i wasn't bored with Alien Isolation videos. :):):)
The background music nailed the laconic Dark Star atmosphere excellently, really thoughtful stuff. Easily the best that you ever made, bro
Hey Max! always nice to hear your opinion.
Ya it's funny watching the facehugger chase it's own 'tail' with the press of a button lol..
You definitely should have done a video on it!
I want the concept to be centered around the survivors and looters in the style of the films, without the in-depth storyline and complex dialogue ... at the risk of it being too long and losing the interest of the viewer. The lack of dialogue brings forth the need for more envorinmental sounds and visual cues for sure.. i am certain i could have done a better job on the audio portion as well, but eventually you just have to settle with something and move on, looking to make your next work better.
Thanks again and good to hear from you. Hope all is well :)
ps- yes, it's pretty time consuming and overwhelming sometimes managing all the footage and sounds and dialogue. Looking at the project inside the software is enough to give you a headache [ i.imgur.com/hLDShB7.png ]
@@galaxytraveler5779 Nice to hear from you as well, a little talk between 'veterans' is always enjoyable. That screenshot is quite disturbing, never ever i couldn't have done that because i'm lacking the required editing skills and the patience but i noticed all the little details from a film making perspective, for example the little music volume changes for each cut, very immersive. Also it was a wise decision not to show the death animation because it's meanwhile so overused.
The overall style reminds me a little bit of my Brett video, even only recording that was quite horrible (sometimes countless hours for a single shot), but also enjoyable when the result was finally satisfying.
If i were in your spot i would shorten the introduction and focus on the Upper Transit episode because viewers do not have the patience to wait long for that, you need to tease them. There is simply too much spam and uninteresting stuff around.
Sadly i noticed that you are not getting the deserved upvotes on reddit, but this is a general problem of cinematic gaming videos and one of the reasons for me finally giving up on that. It's not very rewarding in terms of views but you have to live with that, finishing and enjoying the result can be rewarding as well.
Also my harddrive has crashed and many things are lost forever, so there's definitely no way back for me, i'm enjoying the stuff you are making in future instead. Keep on !
@@maxheadshot3287That video of Brett's death you did was fantastic. Definitely had that swirling around in my head during this.. as i did so many others! Lol.
I am at a difficult spot toward the end now and still a lot of revisions to go but i really thank you for that critisism. I truly embrace that and will definitely make some changes to my main intro, with this in mind. You are right about the intro being too long, and i thought of that, but i am stubborn and wanted to add all that extra stuff in there haha. It somehow felt too 'sudden' starting from that main camera pan in upper transit, which i was originally going to start from. I really think i should have.
For me, the reward is having created something i can acknowledge as my own and appreciate (hopefully), even if it doesn't reach a very broad audience. I say hopefully because by the time i finally release something, i watched it over so many times i don't want to look at it again 😂
For the most part i have fun doing it!
About your hard drive, that really sucks. I have had only one drive fail with all my documents and pictures, without having backed any of it up, which i am normally very good at. With my project, i have all the 600gb or so of footage backed up.. the thought of losing it all terrified me :/
Can you make some more alien isolation fan made films please
I have the second part of my series almost ready to go. Just been taking a bit of a breather but ill be back to it this week to hopefully get it finished off. Appreciate the interest!
That was awesome !!
HOW. HOW HAVE YOU DONE THIS??? THIS IS SO COOL!!!!!!!
Have you watched all the movies there so good
I saw aliens in the Albert hall with live orchestra 👌🏻 sigouney weaver and james Cameron came out at the end and gave us a bow. Fantastic night
I have seen them all, but not until i was older.. lol. i saw the first Predator when i was about 8 though. I stole it from my older brother and watched it in my parents room haha.
@@hoonaticbloggs5402 That is amazing. I am quite jealous!
Dude! Ive been a huge Alien fan since i was a kid. I just watched the original HD director's cut a few days ago. Couldnt finish the new one cuz it was dumb af and Jusse Smollette is in it
Best Alien movie clip since covenant dropped!!! , made with pro-like production skills. Is it your making?
Entirely my own, yes, and with inspiration from the films. Glad you enjoyed it! :)
@@galaxytraveler5779 Very well made, thanks for the time and effort 👍
Is there a progress update?
You mean for part 2? Part 1 is up but part 2 has some more work. I took a much needed break but getting back to it now.
Very Good. It might be me but are there blips in the audio? Like at the scene transition at 5:06.
No, that is not on your end. I tried hard to get rid of that.. even got an external DAC but it was still happening. i will figure it out with my main project somehow, because there is some bad ones happening :/
@@galaxytraveler5779 I know how that feels. My fancy gaming motherboard has issues with audio popping during normal function. It drives me insane. Apparently, it was just a problem asus refuses to fix on their motherboards. Anyways. Good luck Hombre.
@@galaxytraveler5779 Do you mean that happening after 8:23 for example ? I'm not an expert but identifying them with a tool like audacity could help eventually. Maybe you can get rid of them by muting the specific audio track at that point for a fraction of a second ? The result is possibly less bothering.
it happened frequently to me when merging different scenes, i did never know how to avoid it otherwise.
@@maxheadshot3287 Hey thanks, Max. Actually i figured out that the sound is actually from recording, which could have been from my old sound card. I just have to cut those parts with the popping sound out and it's fine :)
In 2023 are you gonna make some more looters in alien isolation fan films
very nice
Scary good!
I'm beautiful creature anyway
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
He was Stupid
First of all
BE QUIET !!!!!!!!!
Lol yup. The human AI was not very bright in this game.
How did you do that?
I used a cinematic tools mod to capture footage in Alien Isolation and Kdenlive free editing software.
The film was pretty good minus the fire. Man walks upon an uncontained fire on a ship and then just ignores it? Who cares if the ship burns?
YEEEESSSSSSSA
;)
