It is I whom must thank you endlessly for this amazing film short on an great franchise. KENNEDYboyProductions might be a consortium of creative geniuses.
Mr H Reviews sent me over Great Job on the movie
Excellent film guys.
What the...
This short fan movie was good.
THIS REAL IS A NO
MANS LAND GREAT FILM🏆
I cannot believe this is a fan-made film. The cinematography, acting, and background music rival what is called a professional movie from Hollywood. The creators, writers, directors, actors, and everybody involved in this film deserve the highest praise.
The creator, writer, cinematographer, editor and director is the same person, CHRISTIAN KENNEDY.
I don't know why people are surprised people are critical and realistic and not for the phoney crap that is overwhelmingly fake
Everyone is a professional grade here. 😅
So here we are, the age where fan made films outshine what Hollywood can do. Well done, this is fantastic.
FULLY man you hit the spot there right on. The fact that the beard was boer or a boer war survivor....made my fkn hair stand on end...and the end...so ALIEN its like RIPLEY WROTE this just for me lol
This was excellent!
Hollywood just wants to make spectacles now. Blockbusters. Little respect for the source material, for the characters. Independent filmmakers creating as a labor of love is where it’s at.
If Hollywood were smart, they’d make smaller investments across many Indy filmmakers who are themselves fans of the material… not expected to set up a franchise, not expected to establish a multiverse or to respect (or create) canon of other storytellers.
Hollywood puts movies together like an assembly line...they all sound feel and for the most part are clones of each other. No one is free to be a thinking unique artist, that is because they have protocols how they wish to indoctrinate people
@@TerraMagnus So...Hollywood is just dying - nothing more.
This film deserves a "TOP AWARD" for film making. Absolutely fantastic from the beggining to the end.If this was a two hour film in cinemas around the world,i think it could easily make zillions of dollars. Congratulations to every one connected to this film. B-R-l-L-L-I-A-N-T....👏
This is what you get when people who actually care about classic franchises are at the helm.
I salute everyone involved in the creation of this Masterpiece.
Thank you!
They are giving the wrong people money to make films because this was absolutely spectacular. Well done, lads!
I agree. I’d go to the theatre to see this !! 🎉
independent always seems to be better than mainstream
Hell yes! Totally agree. Hollywood wont make movies like this anymore.
@@poornachandervarkuri272 Keep studying English and you will understand the comment 1 day.
If this was a Hollywood movie, the Aliens including the cast would all be LGBQTXYZ123-$ imagine the Aliens wearing pink high heel crocs!
This should have been a full length feature. Its damn good, we need more of this quality of indie production. It puts Hollywood to shame.
PedoWøød is ØVER WITH.
Nothing can Stop what IS HERE.
Politics more important to pedowood than to produce great films and movies. They use bad actors as mouthpiece for the leftist liberal agenda...hate Trump - Heil biden.
Thanks, that's the plan for next film :)
A child could have put this together, are you kidding me.
Hollywood would never allow this. Just the same as how Paramount won't allow Axanar to be a feature film. They are jealous that fan films listen to what the fans want.
He deserved a short film award.
I love the call-back to the Lieutenant's speech at the end. What was once a speech of fear and dread is now a speech of defiance towards the aliens.
"This is my land you've marched onto. And you're not welcome."
CAN I GET SOME HUMANS SAYING IT WITH ME???? THIS IS MY MOTHERFUCKING LAND AND YOU AINT FUCKING WELCOME!!! COME GET SOME!!!!!!!
This was a mini-masterpiece, and shows what a tight script and a good set of actors can do! Excellent ! thank you!
The Lieutenant conveyed the perfect mix of pathos and will to to overcome danger.
You know it's a good film when you see believable characters thrown into unbelievable circumstances and you're still with them.
This is now and forever a Classic amongst The Alien films. Great concept. Excellently executed.
When the Lt. gave their p.o w the pistol and then the other soldier gave him the rest of his cigarette that part really showed some great writing and made the struggle with fighting an alien more relatable for myself. This short film was incredible and I would definitely play a video game of this conflict.
"Mate, I could give a fuck, there's far worse just now out there than you or me. You deserve better than my bullet, you deserve my cigarette."
The blend of the Great War and SciFi was seamless, making this absolutely outstanding!
Kudos to everyone involved and a heartfelt thank you for uploading! 👏👏👏👍
In the end the Lieutenant was the lion, staring down the trespasser on his land. I really loved the story, I always thought an Alien story set on Earth in a desert would be very interesting and the Lieutenant was such a badass character! The Xenomorphs probably took one look at that beard and knew they were cooked. Also great twist at the end, just a glimmer of hope only to remind you that no, this is an Alien story, you don't get out that easily!
Having xenomorphs in WW1 is genius ! I always wanted to see a type of story like this with the Alien franchise in which we see xenomorphs in different time periods on earth and i really want to see more of these kind of stories . Like for example xenomorphs in the middle ages ''Outlander'' style , that would be badass.
Fantastic work with this movie and to everyone who worked on it ^^
The dynamite box saying Wayland &Co. is such a great detail
It was on the label of the can of corn, too - about 10 minutes in, after they set up the machine gun at the entrance to the tunnel. It's that little attention to detail and little Easter eggs that push thing over the edge from really good into fantastic.
Weyland Corp. seems to be a reference to the mythological Norse and Anglo-Saxon figure Wayland or Weyland the smith (in German he is called Wieland). Resembles somewhat the mythological Greek master craftsman Icarus.
@@wolfgangkranek376 nod to Weyland Utani Corp, the makers of the Droid Models, Bishops. The nefarious behind the scenes company all the films dealt with.
So Weyland Corp. been into shit since WW I huh?
The knife at the start killing the BUG is another ,it's full of awesome call backs ,all the awesome call backs through there dialect is off the scale ,masterpiece made by fans for us fans ⚔️👽🔥
This is better than many feature length Hollywood films I’ve seen! Absolutely incredible! Please bring more to the Alien world!!
I'm just so stoked you guys made this. I love the Aliens IP. I've collected comics, toys, novels, etc for more than 35 years. Thank you for loving this universe as much as I do. You guys rock.
Sad when fans of a series can create a superior story to what the studios trowel out--over and over and over and over... Thank you, Kennedyboy Prods.!
Only a true fan of the lore could have pulled this off. This was phenomenal and a love letter to the films! We need your team on the next major film!
Well done to everyone involved. Great to see an Aussie addition to the Alien canon. The Weyland references were brilliant.
Everyone who made this happen, TAKE A BOW ! This was awesome, to say the least. I hope we will get to see much more of the Alien Project !! 👏👏👏
Thanks 🙏
Agreed, this should be made into a 90-minute film!!😮❤
Awesome! The highlight for me was the last stand between the lieutenant and the xenos, with the voice over flashback….chef’s kiss 💋
What AWESOME production, scripting and acting..... I am amazed this wasn't carried out to be a FULL two hour movie.... I know Netflix would have ruptured a gut getting it to their platform.... Very cooooollllllll.....
Nope Netflix would cancel it before it even premiered or gutted it soon afterwards, like they do Damn near everything else
The historical accuracy is amazing, the Sci fi horror is brilliant. He'll yeah
What a fresh and invigorating take on the Alien franchise. Better than most of the Alien films with a much smaller budget. Amazing.
Yeah, that was definitely a Camel Spider😳😬 Out-frackin-standing!! Definitely THE best Alien fan-film. The setting is inspired, the script and dialogue is excellent, awesome acting and fantastic SFX/Costumes. The sound design is also top notch!
Everyone involved in this project deserves massive props for their sterling work and obvious love for the source material 🫡
Wow, that was a FAN film? No question that was top quality in every way. Incredible work.
I’m always amazed when I see well done fan films; the effort and skill that go into the scripting, acting and production. This film is no exception.
YOU GUYS DESERVE AN OSCAR, I haven't seen a alien fanfilm terrify me as much like this in a long time, absolutely peak cinema.
Great idea, Sir Ridley Scott should give you an award. I'm a huge Alien fan, and this is the best live-action movie of the same series I've seen in years.❤
اسم الفلم
Outstanding fan film, Fox should give these people the funding to make a Full Alien feature because the passion & care gone into this fan film is commendable.
Awesome movie 👍
Excellent short movie.
I didn't expect watching a fight between a group of soldiers and a pack of xenomorphs.
Thank you, Kennedy's team ❤
First World War soldiers at that. Was great this
Not sure if my comment made it, but I don't mind making it again and adding to it. I watched this movie last night. This was nothing short of PHENOMINAL!! No more than two seconds in, I forgot I watching a Fan Film! Unbelivably well done!!
This is brilliant. Kennedyboy Productions has hit it out of the ball park with this one. Better than half the Hollywood made Alien movies. Well done!
Got me with The Thing homage in the intro 👏👏👏👏
Exceptional production for a micro budget short. Well done to all those involved, especially Christian Kennedy.
Thanks 🙏
absolutely loved how the aliens where portrayed in this, slow, methodical, and outright scary due to this, amazing work
BUT in every film they are fast and they don't spend much time stood up like a guy in a suit.
Obviously with budget constraints,no quality CGI, graphics equipment and skill that couldn't make them look great.
That's why they should of used a couple of quick appearances.
Often the less you see is more effective.!!
@@rikaardyyz3039 ey? pretty sure in alien 1 they are mostly hiding in the shadows and then at the end when one is on the ship it moves slow too, almost sttalking her, it crawls out slow from under the pipes if i remember right, it was in 3 they got fast as came out of a dog and then was underwater so swam fast in 4
@@rikaardyyz3039 also i have defo seen them stand up on 2 legs throughout the films lol most of them do its just the dog ones in 3that dont, even in 4 at the start there is 2 in the cage that are both stood up then one attacks the other.....
9.5/10
No Man’s Land is absolutely brilliant film with a great story line, outstanding acting and a real treat for fans of the alien movie franchise.
The Story
It's hard to believe that one person, Christan Kennedy was able to write, produce, edit and shoot this fantastic yarn.
It fits so neatly into the franchise cannon and really holds its own conceptually. It was a brilliant idea to place this story is the chaos of WW1 and I’m sure that there are some Hollywood writers slapping their foreheads in frustration because they didn’t come up with this idea.
Cinematography
The cinematography and lighting are perfectly done with great saturation and color palettes. The lighting was exceptional and painted the scenes with incredible nuisances.
The close-up work is gorgeous and really pulls you into the characters and the tight living conditions of trench warfare.
The weapons were also accurate for the time period and the addition of the BAR was a nice touch.
Traci Rose’s costuming is bang on and credibly reflects the time period of the story.
Actors
The actors really look the part. The makeup was top notch and Jo Franklin and crew deserve full kudos for their work.
The lead actor, with his craggy face and humongous beard, reminded me of Jorma Tommila from the movie Sisu.
Easter Eggs
The homages and Easter eggs that were brilliantly incorporated. The Weyland canned food was a nice touch. The scene with the shotgun shoved down the aliens’ throat and the resulting acid blood spray from the blast, reminded me of the scene in the APC doorway with Hicks in Aliens.
When they set up the machine guns at the tunnel, I was hoping to see a scene similar to the ALIENS movie when they lifted the ceiling panels and saw the swarm of Aliens headed towards them. It would have been very cool to see them pouring out of the tunnel into a hail of machine gun fire. a la the smart guns that were set up in the tunnels on LV427.
I especially loved the “Bad Robot” ending. I didn’t see it coming and I wonder if a shot of a face hugger skin, lying on the ground somewhere in the tunnels when the soldiers were exploring, would have set it up better.
Nitpicking
When you set the bar so high in your film the parts that don't work well unfortunately stand out more than they would in a lesser crafted endeavor.
The thick dialects and no subtitles made it difficult to understand what the actors were saying. The costumes seemed a bit too clean at times and didn’t have that lived in look. Living in trenches for weeks at a time would cause a great deal of wear and tear to clothing and equipment and unfortunately the costuming didn’t match the makeup.
The choppy CGI at the beginning and did not forebode great production values for the film. However, this was soon made up for with action scenes where we got to see the Aliens in action.
The ship interior was a total misfire, it simply looked like the basement of a building with a lot of pipes in it. The square architecture did not match the round shapes of the ship we saw at the start of the film. And the height of the ceilings did not match the scale of the ship’s occupants.
The “alien autopsy” corpse lying on the ships floor was a disappointment. I get that Kennedy was maybe trying to tie the classic “Little Green Men” to the Alien Franchise, but it seemed odd and out of scale.
I’ve seen a lot of sci-fi movies in my time. I saw ALIEN in the theaters when it first came out. I am a huge fan of the franchise and I’ve seen a lot of fan made films pertaining to this genre. To refer to Christan Kennedy’s work of art as a “fan film” does not do it justice. It is truly one of the best non studio films made. I would have gladly paid money to see this in a theater.
I didn't mind the ship's interior, we can see it wasn't an Engineer ship at the beginning. So some other unfortunate species found the Xenos too.
He is spot on though. Constructive criticism should be appreciated.@@chris8669
Thank you for such an honest and thoughtful response to a film that was a pleasure to make , but even more so reading so many positive remarks !! Christian is a bloody Legend and I would work on anything he wants as he is a true professional with the knowledge he has anything he does is near perfect!! Thanks again for your very kind words it gives us the confidence to go forward and hopefully do another 👽
They found the facehugger in the trenches, when the guy calls it a camel spider.
@@chris8669I really loved that as well, it just shows that the Alien universe is just that much greater. And if we're honest any species can fall victim to the face huggers and Xenomorphs. I loved it !!!
Brilliant Alien-Fan-Movie. Great acting. Very well done. You did a very good job. Ridley Scott would’ve been amazed! 🍿🥤🤩👍🏽
What a good surprise, dude! Well done! Much better than expensive productions!!
This is how films should be made with great acting fantastic plot and directors with passion for great film making
Best alien fan film Ive seen so far. Im 63 yrs old so that says something. Whoever made this film did a far above average job. Well done and much luck to your future film making.
The climax was superb and the characters were amazingly fleshed out for such a short run time. The pay off with the Lieutenant’s story was incredible, fitting and well earned! I honestly think they could have ended it right then and it would’ve been flawless!
Probably the best short I have ever seen. Pacing was excellent as was the back story. I encourage you to continue with your trade. Very well done. Thank you!
Amazing work. As a lifelong Alien fan, I appreciate taking the franchise to a not seen before location and timeline.
A fanmade film has given us a hero to sit beside Ripley herself. Gripping, and perfect balanced pacing of action and suspense to match Aliens.
I've never heard of this movie and came across it by accident, but I have to say. "I really enjoyed it." I love movies where I can't tell what is happening or original. This ticked all the boxes and more. I wilk share and recommend it to family and friends. 🇮🇪✌️
Yep I was the same just happened to accidentally stumbled across this..glad I did
Absolutely 💯 awesome 👏. I can see where the future of great film makers is coming from. And it’s not hollywood. Absolutely outstanding.
Это Россия и Это было, и это страшно!!! Мы свои земли и людей не бросаем! Все к Богу пойдем! Кто то, кто то пизже -все там будем!! Божий суд!!!
Bravo 👏. Ironic how a ‘low budget’ fan made film is better than 80% of what Hollywood puts out~
LOL
Aussie made??
Insanely good! When something this new is able to prompt the same reactions that Ridley Scott did with his first movie of the franchise, that's talent beyond hold. Well done is an understatement. This deserves a big ole fat BRAVO!
It's a very nice production. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this production. The treatment of the subject, the reflection of the conditions of the period, the communication in the process with the "Turkish soldier" who is seen as the enemy, the description that all of these lands belong to people, and even the Lieutenant's defense against aliens (a "beautiful irony" by claiming the homeland of the Turks in Çanakkale, whose lands they came to invade) "This is my land" His saying "get out", "indicating the world", was a complementary answer to the scene narration at the end of the film, where the light of freedom is reflected and the Turkish soldier and the world are shown with the sunrise. As a 62-year-old Turkish and international person, I would like to thank everyone who contributed and wish you continued success. you are amazing
Beautiful job. Just beautiful. The attention to the men, clothing and weapons is spooky good. I'm looking forward to Alien Romulus with Fede Alvarez at the helm.
Fkn amazing. WW1 soldiers trench-fighting ALIENS? Never even imagined but this is oustanding work, fellas. You brought a completely fresh scenario to screen. Loved the scene at 16:22 when the gas-masked soldier stabs the alien with his knife and the shot at 16:50 with the soldier shooting his rifle at it. The silhouette and the bayonet on the rifle look beautiful.
Thanks, that's one of my fav shots too! :)
This was very well made! Congrats to all of you!
Outstanding- actors, script, cinematography, direction - an absolute pleasure to watch this. 👍🏽
Nicely done. Tense, good acting and effects. Considering the budget, a great film.
when fans make a film .. excellent - better than Hollywood could now
This is brilliant! Well done! The Lieutenant was amazing! What a role, super acting. I felt it in my bones.
What a beautiful ending with the man standing his ground. Loved it, you have true skill and intuition for this work.
I loved this. The tension in the silent trench was my favorite part.
Better than the crap out there today great work
Very impressive for a fan film
Give these guys a budget for Full production
Wow... I am so glad i came across this by accident.
Unbelievable. Now I want to see this on the big screen!!
omg that was really good! I really enjoyed this. amazing acting and effects and story. I dont think I blinked
This is what directors and producers should be striving for to make movies like they were supposed to be made. Let's hope this is the beginning of the renaissance of a novel approach that will bring quality and thrills into movies such as this and many more to come.
They mostly come out at night.
Mostly.
alabamaman:👍😜
Everything was top of the line. You guys deserve an award. Thank you.
Even the camera work and dialogue was well done, acting brilliant. A1plus.
The aussie soldier with the double-barrel shotgun gave me shivers. They were banned as warfare weapons after this war, just too brutal.
Uh, shotguns were being used as late as the Vietnam war....probably still are. Very effective close combat tool.
The Benelli M4 has entered the chat...
For a fan movie , that was bloody good. Well done .
You did a hell of a job! Well done! Best Alien Fan Film I've seen so far...keep going!!
This has to be the best Alien since no 3. 1992.
Such a great script and story. Well performed aliens (like them slow and deadly). Great cinematography,SFX and VFX. Top notch twist. Just wow. ❤❤❤
Is this a small segment from a much longer movie ? It's great. Great acting, great special effects , original storyline.
This should be a full length motion picture, using the same cast. Wow.
THIS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AS A CLASSIC.
The acting ability of the actor playing the Turkish soldier is very good, but it is not possible to say the same for his Turkish speaking skills. Unfortunately, he spoke very bad Turkish, even I had difficulty understanding him(i am Türk). But the British soldier who is translating must know Turkish better than me, so he translates it immediately :)). But the movie is very good, congratulations.🤗
It's doesn't matter he just pretend?!
Nicely done. Best camera work I've seen in fan film.
HELL YES!!... Most Fan Films are 50/50 hit or miss... you guys NAILED IT!1... AMAZING ON EVERY LEVEL!1 .... HATS OFF !! .... 100% WOW!!... and THANKS!
an alien fan for over 40 years - should see my collection - and would like to salute you on this film - fantastic and a tribute to the ongoing Alien franchise. Salutations to all involved.
❤AWESOME!!! This is the Spirit of Filmography 👏 Go on, Ladies and Gents! 😉😁
The best fan made film yet!
Best alien movie since years ❤
The most professional looking fan film I’ve yet seen.
Holy Cow- Great piece of work. Outstanding
Absolutely incredible work. Hats off to the lot of you.
This could really be a film from the Alien series universe, well done.❤❤❤
The background of the trenches gives off the same claustrophobic atmosphere as in the originals, but it shows in the end that wide open spaces does not mean safety. Even before watching, the poster of the Lieutenant draws me to watch it because he reminds me of 'Sisu'.
All in all, a very well made short.
Wow, great job ! Speechless. You and your team did very well.
I loved the can of corn. Weyland and Co.!! Cool
We always use original period props in Leane's Trench - Once you're in there as a reinforcements on one of our tours you ARE in 1915
Great stuff !!! Please keep up the good work. The Alien movie fans will love you. The Leutenent look and presence is worth an award :)
Omg this was amazing! I’m a huge Alien and HR Giger fan and I was so impressed with your work! Well done!
Great film with incredible production quality. The description of the "lion" moment was superior writing. Well done!
So, in 28 minutes this company has effectively done a better job than the last three alien films combined. Not better than the last three films individuality, but COLLECTIVELY. WOW. Nice job. I am impressed, this was awesome.
19:13 this is great! Where's the acid blood though?
20:30 THERE IT IS!
Mr. H sent me!
Nicely done. Great cinematography and surprisingly good Alien effects 👍. Cheers!
Wow. The script was very creative. The acting is great. You have already proven that you can make great films when your financial means increase. Congratulations.❤️
Great job! Thanks for putting in the time and energy to make this!
Excellent job. Fair play to you and your crew. You should be very proud of your accomplishments. I wish y'all nothing but success.
