Highland Cathedral is a popular bagpipe tune composed by Germans Ulrich Roever and Michael Korb in 1982 on the occasion of Highland Games in Germany. It was proposed as a Scottish national anthem to replace "Scotland the Brave" or "Flower of Scotland".
The performance is perfect! But is it normal that there are women among the musicians? Also is it normal that they are dressed in men's clothes, and besides - a military uniform?
+torjimon Perfectly normal. Welcome to 2016. There are few roles that women don't do in the British Armed Forces. Also only some of these bands are serving military personnel
+spentacle ... I also wish You Happy New Year... Thank You for response... Still I want to confirm whether it is alright for female to wear man's clothes. Is not it prohibited by Church? Or is it only a recent tradition, and it was not permitted for example one hundred years ago?
For centuries the churches haven't cared one little bit what the Scriptures say, so I wouldn't worry about it. The churches are only there to raise money for their own ends, and have little or nothing to do with Christianity.

It's a nice tune, but Scotland consists of more than the Highlands. For a national anthem it's better to have a tune that speaks to all Scots.

..it does seem weird to me for women to be wearing the traditional Scottish pipe and drum garb..but still happy to see them in the ranks anyway!
