Thank you. no one could give this easy explanation. i've asked so many performance and camaro specialty shops who would not agree to work on this for me because it was not a high profit job and no one would simply say minus two degrees from the engine/trans angle to the pinion.
you explained it very well on how to set it(it clicked in my head ).. better then some others I seen on you tube that left me scratching my head ! You sir are the man
Except for the fact that it is totally different than their other video on setting pinion angle, on the same cars... ua-cam.com/video/EUfGr3HJlhI/v-deo.html
Nice video. I lowered my 94 z28 And had a zero deg with my BMR setup then went back up added 345 tires on the rear and adj coil overs in the front . Had to add air on the back to keep the fenders off the tires . Your video sure was easier than the drive axle / pinion method Thanks a lot . Seems to fixed the vibration -3.0 front -1.0 rear
Great tutorial.. I have all your suspension on my 94 trans am. I know people have different opinions. But I kept all my suspension front to rear with BMR. I even have your subframe connectors.. keep up the great work 👍🤙...
Is it possible to measure this with the oil pan? do you know if the oil pan is at level with the crank? I have a big turbo and manifold in front of the pulley
So if my engine measures 2 degrees tail shaft down and I have rubber bushing control arms so I need to subtract 3 degrees I should be at -1 degree at the rear end?
BMR Suspension , in this video I see that this car has the true dual setup that mine has as well as bullet style mufflers …. How do you have the Mufflers/turndowns mounted to where they do not scrap and are mounted securely …. I am at a loss on how to mount these
This video, is for 82-02 fbodys, adjustable torque arm. They carry different ones. If they make one for your model car. The answer is yes, But you need a adjustable torque arm set up as well to be able to make adjustments.
Not sure but it was optional in the cart when I bought my Spohn arm. They’re cheap but you can get the same thing at Home Depot or Lowe’s in the measuring tape and levels section

Eric. I give the occasional lecture on setting pinion angle. Your video is spot on perfect and debunks a lot of pinion angle myths. Well done sir!

So to clarify, you were 5 degrees with the tail shaft of the trans facing down, so you put the rear 2 deg angle UP for a 2 deg split?
Will the angle vary with wheels/axle supported -vs- unsupported?

What muffler and turndowns are those?
Texas Speed I think.
When u go like 100 and the car shakes will that be caused by the torque arm?
I liked the video, I'm gonna come by and check out your location.
I'm in Tampa. I have some questions.

It’s unclear to me where you picked 2 degrees from
Is every car that easy to adjust. You don't need shims?
