  • When Logitech first launched the Superlight, everyone pretty much loved it. It set the standard for the industry and since then, many other mice have since surpassed it.
Well, Logitech is now back with the brand new Superlight 2 and it's... essentially everything you liked about the original Superlight but just refined. And honestly, it works!

The G PRO X is a more reasonable buy than this mouse, it's cheaper and basically the same, you will not even notice the difference

@@adrian-laurentiuradulescu4703 it’s $30 cheaper. Spending $130 on a 3yr old mouse instead of spending $160 on the better mouse is a terrible decision. As someone who owns both, you 100% notice the difference. If you already own a gpx or if it was $100 then you’d have an argument but $30 off when you’re already spending $130 just isn’t enough to justify buying old tech.

The superlight never left. And while the original Superlight broke leaps and bounderies when it comes to weight reduction without holes in mice (The first mouse without cutups under 65 grams), this version of it just took a small step forward. On top of that, according to several latency tests - Hausgaming and some other external ones - the latency is actually worse on this one (1000 Hz) than on the original, and the click latency improvement is almost not even an improvement, considering the double polling rate only removed around 0.40 ms of click latency, where it again is much slower than the original in terms of 1000 Hz click latency.
Another thing I found unanimous among most of the testers (and also myself getting to try the switches and mouse wheel), the switches are waaaay too hard to press in, don't feel that great, and then there is the mouse wheel. Not only is it harder to press in (incredibly big deal if you're playing BR games and using mouse3 as a bind), but the steps are less noticable, making it more prone to accidental jumps. If this mouse launched at 90$ or 100$ like the competition (minus Razer), I would be ok with it, but 150$ (170€ in Europe) is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable.
And just to add an extra insult to the Logitech injury, there is their keyboard. What in the actual shit have they been doing over there in Switzerland? Who in their right mind asked for a wireless keyboard for competitive gaming? We've asked for optical switches, smaller form factors, better keycaps, affordable prices for God's sake! And what do we get? A 200$ (220€ in EU) pile of garbage that has done NOTHING to innovate whatsover, other than their flagship lightspeed wireless, that they made over 5 years ago! This isn't new! It's old tech put into a new body with a 200$ price tag on it!
In other words, this launch is incredibly dissapointing, and a waste of money until it gets some proper firmware update that adresses the latency issues. The superlight is not back to dominate, it's back to empty your wallet.
