This is theft lol James on the original video made this comment years ago. I always end up listening to it while Im tripping and forgetting about that comment, die laughing everytime
The first time I listened to this album the whole way though I was tripping on acid and the notes where flying at my from the speakers. It was an incredible night and turned me into a lifelong Tool fan. I'd always loved them, but that night made them epic.
So beautiful. It really chokes me up on several levels: the idea of being defeated and finding comfort within the emptiness. And then somehow connecting to the bigger picture and transcending this world/cynical existence. It just hits home.
Very much agree. Seems like THE invitation. Reminds me of the saying, "many are called, few will listen." It is, has Maynard says herein (at least what I'm hearing), and seems to jibe with my experiences up to this point, is that getting what I think I want, doesn't help-only surrendering. Simple, not easy. Best.
@@Eric-tj3tg I found the same thing over the past 30 years - my plans were rational, but surrendering to an insane appearing mission led me to my dreams getting realized....a retirement of writing and composing and recording and feeling emotionally rewarded as I struggle to heal along with my wife. I'm ignoring the advice to walk away from a realationship based on similar wounds....
Wow! Just Wow! What a song! I want to Interview Maynard on metaphysical idealism, spirituality and the Jungianism that he is obviously into. What a tune! It's.... MYSTICAL!
I think the point is that the drums are second to the guitars in this song and Maynard’s ethereal vocals personally I love the song it’s incredible but that’s just me though
I don't know, Danny definitely throws some Danny shit into the sections starting about 7:25 and again at 9:30. The whole song is just a vibe different than most of their other stuff, but I like it. I think it's great.
If this isn't played at my funeral I ain't dying.

I'm. So scared to take me then one. I took two and freaked out. I didn't have a good sitter.
@@jeramycheney8135Good sitter seems wise. No harm in it, eh?

I recommend listening to this with headphones in total darkness! Very trippy yet very relaxing.

Amazing 👏🏾 I actually fall asleep last night listening to this song. Brilliant ❤🎧

Ads in music? Way to kill the entire mood, dislike
This song uses the same drum beat for 11 minutes. Definitely not the best tool song, one of the most overrated imo.
I'm very offended :/
This is an assault on my dignity
