The Lincoln Continental Coupe in the Barn is a 1941 of which they only built 850 (and 400 Convertibles). I know because I owned one from 1973 to 2017. Loved that Car. Mine was always on the Road all the years I had it. If I were a lot younger than 75 Years, I would be there, Oh Well!
I'd say the collector was a Ford, Lincoln, Mercury guy,... I like that. So many of them I'd love to have and tinker on. 😢 Thanks for taking us along Silas. 😁
Thank you for what you do. I was an Army mechanic for 27 years and Chrysler certified mechanic for 8 years. I was hit by a car while stopped on a motorcycle and I am now paralyzed and I cannot do what you do anymore, thank you for helping me enjoy the cars you find, buy, cut up and even crush. Take care
How can you pick one favorite, there are so many awesome cars and trucks. I can’t imagine someone saying that you are not a good person. You seem like a very good man to me, hard working family man who loves nature…. What’s not to like! Thanks for bringing us along!
Silas that was greatthe oldies are dream cars they were fun cars and a heavy car you survived 99 percent of wrecks in them cars I remenber pumping gas into them at 31.9 cents a gallon and people were complaining about prices we ran our fordson on white gas with a hand pump fuel pump into the glob on top
Great job finding all these hidden classics buddy and thanks for sacrificing your sweat for us viewer's. Looking forward to seeing what you buy at the auction. Your southern Indiana fan.
Guy was an excellent destroyer of cars…he was good at tearing them apart and scattering to the wind….favorite.. the ford flathead boat anchors, 38’ pickup, 57 Ranchero, Merc Monterey’s.
I agree with another comment made about you coming to help put eyes on this collection of stuff. If you were a “rip off” , your opinion would not been requested and respected. I’ve watched your videos for a while now, always enjoy watching them. I’m old enough to be your father, but I have a ton of respect for you . I always wanted to be in a business like what you do . I grew with an older man who was a lot like you are . But when I got to point in my life to do this , it got very difficult to do this in the area where I live. New laws for being in the the city limits and the cost of property outside and near the city limits made it cost prohibiting. Now retired and just enjoying life with my wife and enjoying grandchildren.
Sooooo many Old Cars - Amazing - thanks for showing us - looking forward seeing the Auction and Yes - You gonna bid on some and also Smalls as well ! Many Cheers from Australia !!!!
Yes the H means hemi. My 55 is the same with the first gen hemi but fully restored with an all steel M37 military bed complete with the slat sides that fold down into benches. My 47 Mercury 8 started like the one in the vid.
I'd be pretty nervous, even trying to go into that house based on the age of it. You don't wanna fall through the floor, but you're right there's definitely some really cool cars out here.
You sure delivered on this one Silas ! Not a Mercury guy but that place is a honey hole ! Wish I could be there just to take it all in. Good luck bidding, you were sure junk drunk ! Woo hoo
Another brilliant video - a great record of American automotive history - love the one with the wood along the side! Looking forward to seeing how many you buy!!!
Wow, an Elektra 225! My old buddy had a convertible 225 in sweet shape! Even the power top worked! My old boss called it a deuce and a quarter. The longest car I've ever seen!
Thanks Silas, some good cars there, I like the Country Squire and the Commuter, years ago I borrowed a '58 Mercury wagon for a week and loved it, always been on the lookout for one, but they're not that common.
So much cool iron! That 57 Lincoln in the barn is awesome! Those 57 Buicks are awesome too! That Cadillac does look sweet! That 63 Corvair Monza convertible looks rough, but the Corvair sedan was looking more promising. That 41 Chevrolet truck! So many cool things!
The Lincoln convertible and the Merc convertible are two of the cars worth buying. But as you know your going to have to deep pockets for those two. Some of those Buicks are definitely worth saving. Thanks for the video and your time , I always look forward to checking out your new videos. And as for the people that are giving you smoke for the things you sell have not dealt with you . Your a fair man and you are willing to do what you can to help them buy what they want . As you say your time has to be worth something.
Always a very nice video. When I see these old farms loaded up like this one, i wonder how the owner could a let haphazard accumulation like this happen. When you was walking through those weeds, you had me itching. I used to wander the junk lots, so I know how hot it gets out there. Be careful because the whole place looks like Tic City, The little buggers are always looking for a free ride. I'm looking forward to the follow up auction video. Good Luck winning a bunch of money makers !
Hi i watch your vidios i like old 50s carshave you ever seen aold auburn rubber toy cars i find them ever so often i know you have old toys you keep i keep thoses. Thanks for your vidios scott
Where old Fords went to die…. but wow some cool old rides. I think my favorite is either the Cyclone or the 2 door Montego MX. Thanks for sharing your time with us. Looking forward to what you get to drag home. Stay safe. Peace
WOW! what a goldmine. Thanks for your efforts Silas. You donated Sweat for this vid, but fortunately no Blood or Tears. Joy outweighs the tears 100 fold. I hope the other Tube-ers can make it. Tim and Joe, Mortski and Puddin maybe. Yep, you will need Shaun. Be a big turnout. Hopefully a nice day. Can't wait for the video/s
That is one hell of a hoard,Looks like he liked to take things apart too..I;m sure theres some treasures buried in there..I wish i could go and bid,,Its going to take a long time to clean up that stuff..I like old bicycles and motorcycle stuff.. thanks for the tour
Retractable is 57 Ford. Continental coupe is 41. A full classic, but rough, and not as desirable as they once were. Nice 2 dr. looks like 55-6 Ford. Good stuff. Dubs
Just so interesting. You guys are so lucky . Here in 🇬🇧Great Britain 🇬🇧 . If they sat in a field for 40 years they would be a pile of rust 🧐🇬🇧🫶 USA 🥇 😍
I believe the people calling you a ripoff or what have you are themselves less than ethical. Those blaming types are projecting their thoughts of what they would do in your situation. If you were a ripoff, word travels fast in your business, you would not be asked your opinion if it was not respected. A man's morals should not be able to be compromised for a few dollars. In fact, by having a respected opinion, you personally must do much better, like getting first eyes on stuff.
Silas is a stand up guy. We realize that not everything can be saved, especially when flakes offer way less than scrap value. He has a family to support and can’t work for free
I liked the 2 door Buicks. Thanks for showing us this up coming auction. I was suppose to be in Kanas this week, so maybe I can come to the auction instead.
Which one was your favorite? I really liked the station wagons!

Thanks for taking us along Silas. 😁
Bravo! The passion and precision in this restoration are evident. This video is both inspiring and heartwarming
Mr. Goodpliers would be good at figuring out the puzzle of what bumpers and interior pieces go to which cars.
Yes - - he has an encyclopedic memory !
Do you mean Mr Goodpliers?
@@dankreoger611 - yeah
Tim is close to being as expert as Steve Magnante, who likely has forgotten more about cars than I’ll ever know
Mr Tim was my first thought as well. He's sharp as a tack on this stuff.
Thank you for what you do. I was an Army mechanic for 27 years and Chrysler certified mechanic for 8 years.
