Sasha Peltier just got mine done yesterday and I’ve been so nervous lol but I flipped it up last night in fear I’ll rub or hit it I’m going to leave it flipped so I wont get it knocked around I also take care of a two month who has lots of hair so carrying him and his rather larger head/hair was also reason to flip but I’m finding it harder to clean it I’ve only done the salt and warm water
SAME HERE!!! Lol like 30 minutes ago. The place I went to has after care instruction on their website and tells you how to make the saline solution but doesn’t tell you HOW to clean it :(
To everyone watching this video, what she does is fine and doesn’t irritate the piercing, but u can literally use the cleansing spray u use on fresh ear lobe peircings and it works absolutely fine. No pain, no infections, easy to use. All u do is use a cotton tip and apply the substance to the peircing 2-3 times a day when it’s a fresh piercing and 1 time a day once it’s been a couple weeks. I’ve been doing this and my piercing is absolutely amazing, no infections and no pain ❤️
you’re a life saver. i got my septum pierced a few days ago and the crust got so bad the the point where i couldn’t move my nose without pain. i was so close to taking it out but putting my nose in warm salt water completely got rid of everything. tysm:))
This video was so incredibly helpful! I was a little confused as to how actually do the soak and really loved that you actually showed it. That's been super helpful! Thank YOU! :)
I just wanna thank u for actually doing everything and doing it realistically!! So many vids where people say what they do don't actually do it. So thanks
After I wash my hands with antibacterial soap. I take a cotton ball saturate it with the saline spray... Pull off pieces and place it directly on the piercing... Soaking and softening the crusties and I use a qtip to clean the ring. Same thing different method.
I'm getting my septum pierced hopefully next month I'm so excited thank you ur the first video to show how to actually clean it ❤🥰😍 I love ur tapers and ur hair I'm getting my hair cut short next month 😁
I just did my Septum today after work and its been a few hours so I was going to clean the blood off that had crusted around it. I had no idea what to do so I went to UA-cam of course... Thank you for the help!
Had my septum done almost a week ago now and I put my nose in sea salt water twice a day and use a q tip . Did the same when I had my tongue done 11 years ago and never had a problem 😁
Andrew Carmona The piercing process went really well. I think he may have pierced to low, but oh well. I've had it for 5 months now and still love it. The initial pain wasn't as bad as expected but the couple of weeks after isn't fun. Worth it though.
@@BobbiJuneVoss Uhhh very late but do you remember what day does the pain lessen? I just got pierced yesterday and Im trying to flip it up but I cant because its painful when I try push it and my nose is kinda small as well so I was thinking of waiting till the pain lessen to flip it
Got my septum piereced 3 days ago and havent been cleaning it apart from using cotton tips with table salt and water to get in there, will now be trying himalayan pink salt with water and doing the salt cleanse with my nose in it. I have noticed some yellow discharge so lets hope if there is a infection i can turn it around!
I got pierced a month ago and apprently i’ve cleaned it wrong this whole time 💀 (but it doesn’t hurt and I don’t have any infections so that’s good ig)
Just got my septum pierced and wanted to see if I was doing it right personally I just use a tiny bit of non iodized salt and some water in a bowl and let my nose soak in it it feels like a spa day for your nose
I’ve heard of some people using regular salt and they say it worked fine for them, but just to be on the safer side, non iodized sea salt is def the move :)
They sell sea salt at the dollar store you should definetly get that you even got the 5$ lil bottle so idk why it would be a problem financially plus you should only use a 1/4 table spoon per cup of water 4 tablespoons per 1 gallon water.... youre welcome and if you get 1 gallon distilled water you can make it ahead of time also I've never heard of this qtip method so much but maybe its legit...
I’m on day 3 it doesn’t hurt but if I touch it or bump it very much is that normal? How long was yours tender for? I’ll try this in the morning thank you!
It can take 5/6 months to properly heal. My septum was pierced two weeks ago. Mines healing nicely and I've had no crusty bits at all. I use tea tree oil as well as sea salt.
You can buy a big thing is sea salt at the grocery store for cheap. Don't go for the fancy labeled stuff. Regular salt has iodine in it we don't need that.
while your piercings healing, once a day is fine twice is max, over-cleaning is bad but after a 1 month or more , you can start doing it less like once a week is fine, then after about 4 months when its healed you can just leave them and obviously just keep your face clean like basic hygiene :)
So i just got my septum done today. Didnt hurt as bad as expected. But im curious. How long should i do this for? Because im really not trying to have tgis get infeceted. Ive wanted it done for so long. Which leads me to my question how well did this work for you ?
Khayden Conda it takes like three months to heal g. just got mine pierced. wash it like normal but only run your top two fingers when cleaning the top of your nose and don't put pressure. get some wet tp/paper towels to wipe off the cleanser then once more to wash it off good
@@shyanne101409 thank you sm 🙏🏼 quick question, did you have trouble with your piercing staying down? Mine tends to flip up. I read it could be cause of the swelling but not too sure?
My piercer recommended the emu oil when I got my septum done. I’ve now had the piercing for 6 years and had no problem with it at all during the healing process.
my piercer and mother said to not use salt water unless its infected I just cleaned my nose maybe an hour ago? and I have crusties again!!! 😩 my aunt says to use warm water and Neosporin cuz she has her septum pierced... a friend said to never use Neosporin though... what advice do I take? ma try yours!!!
A good rule of thumb is to always use non-iodized sea salt mix in warm water. Mix it until it tastes like ur tears, and that’s how you can wash your peircing. Neosporin May work aswell, but the sea salt helps soothe piercings and cleans em up
@@violetlydia I have an update! 😂 First day felt like I got crucified but cleaning the next day didn't feel bad at all! I recommend following this video from the first day you get it, and the pain will disappear. I can wiggle, scrunch and move my piercing without pain now

Use non iodised sea salt please people
Daisy Woods why? What’s the difference
and it’s literally $1 at walmart please listen!!
4 tsp of the salt to one gallon of distilled water makes the perfect solution and it’s $2 total and lasts a while
Is pink salt okay? It says it’s non iodised
Ruby Quintero what if u use morton table salt but it’s not iodized and u mix it in warm water?
This is really the only video showing an actual representation cleaning a septum piercing. I'm glad it exists

Thank you I just got my piercing done and I needed instructions I looked at a lot of videos and none of the shows how so thanks 😹👍👍👍
Tip for the salt mixture: if it taste like tears the water to salt proportions are correct. Room temperature/ body temperature is the best.
I love your hand talking!!

DO NOT use a qtip, they are made of cotton and leave little fibers behind just fold a paper towel into a triangle and use the corners

@Trisha Mitra yes I did.
i saw that the jewel spinned a little while you used the q tip, is it okay for it to spin?
Do u think I'll be fine doing the same routine with the nostril?

I just got my septum pierced last Sunday any idea why it’s so sore?

using regular salt ? im surprised you havn't got an infection yet...since using iodised salt
how is it now after 8 years?
Pretty.
Thx for sharing
Thanks for that cos the lady that did my piercing told me I didn't need to clean it and that it would heal fast on its own ..! #ThankGod4youtube

myrasmama that’s funny because while I was getting my septum pierced she put iodine on my nose

what if it’s morton table salt but it doesn’t have iodione ? is that okay if u mix it with warm water
Thank you! I don’t have sea salt or other things at home to clean it, does just putting warm water in your nose is good?..
you can maybe use antibacterial soap and warm water, or contact lens solution
i've also heard H20cean spray works.. can get it from amazon :D
you are adorable!
i actually forgot all about this video... thank you :)
How do you take a shower with it?
Does soap get into it?

Sorry, i just saw your email. I think I did this for two weeks. It worked VERY well for me. I did not have any trouble whatsoever with my piercing.
uhg gorgeous
Should I wash it on the first day I get it pierced or wait until the next day?
Cloe Desautels wash it once on the first day, i recommend about 8 hours after you got it
how do you wash your face without bumping a newly sore nose from the piercing?
DJ APOCALYPTIC does it hurt?
It’s hard to wash your face. I tried to brush my nose with my hand on accident. And shit hurts like helllllllll

How long should I continue to do this after I get the piercing?
it’s been about 6 years since I got mine, I think i did it for a week or 2. ask your piercer.

Great advice for my septum but please dont wear tapers in your ears! They're tools not jewelry and will mess up your ear! :)
