Now I'm confused! I've watched multiple videos of ppl saying that you should soak with saline. Why shouldn't you soak a new nose piercing? Also, I've seen some professionals say not to use a q-tip because the fibers can get trapped inside the hole. What are your thoughts?
Same! I just got mine today n I'm doing some research & some say you shouldn't use the q tips- but others say that they are helpful so I'm confused. I bought this kit from the place I got it done and it has the water salt spray AND an antibacterial, they told me to use them both every day but I haven't seen anyone do both so my head is spinninggg
@@alanap8639 definitely don't use the antibacterial. It will cause a lot irritation, probably prolong the healing process, and may put you at a greater risk for developing scar tissue.
@@pune37tAnG Super late to the party here, but I've also seen not to use q-tips because of the chance of cotton fibres getting stuck to the jewellery and potentially harbouring bacteria. My piercer said to use gauze, but here I am on the video because I wanted to see someone actually cleaning theirs to know I'm doing the right thing lol.
@@carlosflores1937 fully headed, i washed it religiously every day and its perfectly fine have a ring right now, i got another which i didnt rinse at all thought id be fine but got infected and i had to let it close, basically just rinse it often and youll be fine
Can I use NeilMed saline wound wash on my nose piercing? I noticed on the inside I am getting a bump and on the outside whenever I use my diy non iodized sea salt it gets red when I clean it.
Hey so I got my nostril piercing yesterday at a jeweler ( cause I don’t have any piercers that pierce under 18 in my area the ones that do are like 2/3 hours away) and he used a piercing gun AND instead of a nose stud ( is that even the name?) he used an earring stud with the gun 😭 and now idk what to do like should I move it a bit so it doesn’t get stuck because he told me to do so with the drops that he gave me but I’ve watched a couple of shorts and they say not to move it at all until it heals 😭 PLEASE ANY PROFESSIONALS HELP ME
Perfectly normal. Scabs are crjst are a sign of healing. Just gently clean them off with a saline soaked q-tip. Do a saline soak or spray it for a few minute to soften then and take them off. Crust in the begginings is good as it heals there should be less. Crust is actually skin particucles and white blood cells or lymph that got pushed on the surface. As long as it's white or pale yellow nothing to worry about if it's dark yellow or green or brown you might have an infection. It might lightly bleed for a few days as well just clean it with saline. If you are worried go see your piercer they are well versed in how to help you.
@ImRia_Playz18 Didn't really hurt, itches like crazy occasionally but other than that it's fine. My husband didn't want me getting it done but he accepted that I wanted to and let me
I got mine running 5mnths ago, but my nose piercing still got the bumps; redness flakes into my face ; i always clean my nose piercing everyday with seasalt. But its not effective to me, it is the sign of rejection? ;
It's probably causing you irritation, or else something else that's causing you irritation you should stop using 'products' over it just wash with plane water for few days and see if it helps
Same this is happening to me I got mine 2 months ago and it’s getting infected and Im using the non iodized sea salt and water but I am getting dry skin and my nose gets red whenever I clean it
@@kaitlynlanderos5332 yes same problem with u . But my nose piercing is better now, didnt hurt at all. And my bumps is getting smaller And the redness and flakes into my face is fade away.. . Hoping that your nose piercing is healed as mine🙂
@@spahrkz684 no, you have to push it out to clean it efficiently. Just clean around the Gem and the little rod and push it back into place when you’re done. And only use bactine or alc if you have an infection, stick to saline soaks otherwise
It was so nice to see how its actually done! I just got mine today so I appreciate the video!

Which saline you used?
My skin around my nose piercing get dry and flaky. What can I do to prevent that from happening from now on?
Vaseline
DO NOT DO THAT.
They say to not put anything on it but I really don’t know.

Yep! Like a little antenna:) but only push it out until the bent part is touching the inside of your nose then clean the part you pushed out
