I remember a girl disappearing from school when I was around 14, and when i asked her friends they said she'd been sent to Pakistan to get married. At the time I remember being shocked, but now I'm older, the thought of it is horrifying.
@@irdestroyer Not all tho, but many morons do. sadly I was born in Pakistan as Muslim and I don't want to live here but don't have money to live anywhere else.
The British schools could teach all children, starting at the age of 9, to report any plan or occourance of underage marriage to the school who will then report to the police.
Unfortunately British schools are already teaching, from the age of 5, that all forms of sexual abnormality are to be celebrated. I can't see how they could now condemn underage marriage?
MaxTilley Take a look at the No Outsiders program which is being introduced into our primary schools by the back door. It, or something similar, will be coming to a primary school near you very very soon.
Couldn’t find a better way to spend the tax payers money to fund schools and teach them about unannounced travels to Pakistan. This is why the UK should leave the EU so we can stop people coming into this country who will be a burden. It’s a shame but we don’t need people like them and then spend money to fix there family issues. The UK has issues of its own!
This is a radical problem that requires radical consequences: For those that engage in this practice and are caught doing it, the British government should indefinitely revoke their citizenship / immigration status; therefore, forcing them to return to their country of origin. For the Imans that perform these ceremonies, strip them of that title and impose a jail sentence fit for a human trafficker - because that is essentially what they're agreeing to be a part of. When this actually hits home for a few the rest will surely follow.
You can’t force any country to accept British citizens. I thinks liberals don’t talk about Islam because they don’t want to provide fuel to the bigots. But we also have to protect the rights of women and homosexuals and it is about time we start having some serious conversations about Islam.
Khrys32 i agree with you . we need to stop those stupides traditions . i am franch an algerian . stop . never will my future doughter get forced married.
BigDickMcGee why homosexuals!? They don’t have a problem with homosexuality 🤔Islam also does NOT propagate FORCED MARRIAGES and it’s deemed null and void but, these are brelvis who twist and turn Islam to fit their Pakistanis culture and they get on my nerves and need dragging down a peg or 2 lawfully and legalky
Khrys32 we don’t need them in the country in the first place they can go back to where they came from and practice there tribal laws else where this is England not Englandstan
No one should ever be forced into Marriage at all, most of the time it won't work for the people, and some are to young . You should be free to Marry the one you love ❤❤❤😆💘💘💘
@C. S. It does once you understand what's in it for the man. Once the man has paid for the girl, his word is law. The man, often significantly older than his wife, gets to have sexual intercourse with a girl or young woman at his leisure. She is also basically his maid, as she will do all the work around the house. It's a lot like owning an object, for example a robot that cleans your house when you command it. If it does not obey you, then you are allowed to hit it until it does as you demand. To be fair it's closer to slavery. This is how it works in practice. It makes no difference to the husband if the wife doesn't like him as long as he thinks she is sexually attractive and she does as she is told. I should note that this is the norm in forced marriages. Obviously in other circumstances the chances of a normal relationship between a husband and a wife, is far higher.
I don't mind people moving from different countries for a better life and still practice what ever but keep in mind you also have to obey the country rules too. Its like moving into someone house and just taking over
You’re totally missing the point here. This documentary is about a 15 year old child who didn’t move here willingly for a better life, nor is she interested in practicing her cultural differences. This isn’t about immigration, religion it’s about human rights. And what we’d expect for our own children.
It’s like you accepting a person to live in your house, have a seperate room, make him pay rent. And then telling them they can’t do what pleases them in their own room while it does not harm you.
Parents are toxic to their children, and I am an Australian woman and though I am not MUSLIM, my own parents were the same way about the same subjects and that includes the physical, the emotionally, mental, Spiritual abuse and I ran away from home at a young age. To this day I don't trust my mother and stepfather Because they have not changed, and I am of the belief that too many children are helpless. And I am saddened by the forced marriage, and most of all the selfishness of the parents who only care about their own personal agendas and gain. I have watched the videos of poor girl's and women being beaten up by the man his own family and the girls own family participate in the VIOLENCE. There is no Freedom, and the truth is that those who are involved in the TRANSGRESSIONS AGAINST THE Free Will of those girls and women.
I have a friend who I went to school with. We left for summer break in 10th grade and when she come back for 11th and only 16 she was married to a 34yr old Pakistanian man.
Aziza Rafiq not all people who practice force marriage are Muslim, it’s South Asian culture no matter what religion you have and woman if you get divorced no one will marry
This ain't a religious issue, it's a cultural issue which is common in some south asian families. I'm Muslim but of African decent and forced marriage is a no no in my culture AND religion.
You don’t know your religion. African Muslims have the highest number of female genital mutilations. Ffs read the laws of the Islamic republic of Iran which is entirely based on Sharia and exactly what Mohammed did. He married a 6 year old girl. He is supposed to be the perfect man so !
Punk Queen ☹️u indeed have no knowledge of the Islamic law - Mohamed was a sunni muslim while Iranians are mostly shia which means they don't believe in mohamed's prophecy
How is silence permission? That's absurd and so back handed. 🙄😠 Also, God bless Samima for being so kind as to bring back that young girl. Now that's a true leader! 👍
So these parents are basically saying the opinion of others are more important than the life of their daughter. Could you imagine allowing strangers to have that much of an impact on your life?
This is not true. According to Islam a 9 years counts as an adult and can be married off, under circumstances even earlier but the girl needs to stay at home until she is physical ready. Disturbing, but that's Sunnah and Sunnah is what your prophet did to Aisha.
@@mochiis4481 Her silence is her consent, you shouldn't waste my time with your lies and learn more about your so-called religion. Aisha was forced by her father too.
It’s the zealots who cling on to their culture that are causing our communities to have fear and hatred. My wife’s parents and brother tried to force her to marry someone else. They abused her so she ended up punching her brother in self defense and went to the police. Fortunately there was evidence and witnesses supporting her testimony. They think their traditions give them the right to oppress other people who don’t believe in the same traditions, when they only have the right to do their own individual thing while we do our individual things. We have left the zealots alone but since they attack us first, they should expect us to attack back, because we will.
It differs from family to family. All my British cousins have chosen their partners themselves. Yes, i admit earlier it was different but from past few years, things have changed. My own brothers refused proposals of British cousins because they knew that the marriage won't work. I hope parents would understand marriage is a two side affair. 💔
Social services should be given the power to rescue the girls from their evil parents & move them well away from the area into well prepared foster homes, helping them to legally change their names if they wish to further protect themselves from being found by their abusive so-called families. I have an Aunt who has just retired from 40 years of social work. She would have loved to have been able to help rescue girls in this situation, but they just don't have the power to do it like they would with a child who was from an abusive white family. They can't remove them until it goes through the courts. There's no such thing as an emergency order for Asian girls forced into this situation. By the time it goes through court, they're half way across the world! Our border forces should also have powers to prevent girls from being forced half way across the world like this! All the girls need is to be spoken to away from their parents to speak up & then we can get our butts into gear & stop this! Our government is so ignorant & backward! This could have been my cousin if her Asian Dad's parents hadn't pretty much forced him to divorce her Mum (yes, my Aunt, the social worker) & marry "a nice Pakistani girl"! I suspect his family were also threatened by my Aunt being a social worker!
Government Social Services needs to stay out of peoples lives. Social services tends to break families apart. Best them keep families healthy & together!
Is permitting underage marriages also twisting the words of the prophet? Because last I heard was that under Sharia Law (a religious law forming part of the Islamic tradition and derived from the religious precepts of Islam, particularly the Quran and the Hadith), if a girl has started puberty, then marriage is allowed, even if she is just NINE years old. Am I wrong???
Watching these imams being exposed one by one was so disappointing to see. People go to these imams for advice and guidance and will follow what they are being told to do. I was in a forced marriage when I was 19 years old I was taken to Pakistan and forced to marry my cousin. When the nikkah is done the main and most important part is asking the bride and groom separately verbally 3 times if they consent to the marriage and the bride/groom have to verbally say that they agree to the marriage and this has to be done in front of 3 witnesses. Well on my wedding day the imam came in and made me sign the marriage contract and that’s it, he knew that I was being forced to marry so he didn’t bother to ask whether I agreed or not. I was one of the lucky ones who managed to get out of the marriage alive but there are so many girls who are killed in the name of honor
Don’t get this wrong, this is NOT Islam. I told both of my parents that I don’t want to get married and they were perfectly fine with it, This is a CULTURAL thing. Islam is a beautiful religion, some of these people are just demented, they aren’t true Muslims, i don’t know why people keep saying this is an Islamic thing, just because the woman is wearing a scarf doesn’t mean it’s all about Islam. I’m not being offensive, just saying you shouldn’t hate on Islam, these stupid terrorist attacks are cause some idiots are dressed up as Arabs and just frame Muslims, trust me, some families are actually sensible, this wouldn’t happen to a TRUE Muslim family. Edit: Also people are speaking bad about Pakistanis too, both of my parents come from Pakistan, my whole family is Pakistani, that’s where my roots came from, I’m a Belgian Pakistani, even though I live in England, My parents never forced me to do this, and they would never, Pakistan has some areas that are highly uneducated, so some idiots think it’s okay to do this. I’m just saying, don’t have a bad image of Pakistanis, some of them are just corrupt, but on the whole Pakistan has become more modern, children are getting educated now which is a relief, so no need to worry.
Bullsh*t! If what you say is true, then 90+% of the Islamic African States and Middle-East are demented and not true Muslims... including, you know, the Arabic world, where as we all know, Arabic is THE language of The Koran, Hadith, etc. You and you family are the exception, not the rule.
@@MarekzAnglii If you actually study Islam instead of looking at the actions of Muslims you will see a big differance. Yeah but the prophet did it because the woman obliged, he didn’t touch her if she didn’t want to be touched. Some of these “Muslims” are seriously demented, I don’t know where the heck the got this idea that ‘silence’ is the way she accepts the marriage cause she’s shy.

And just a heads up Britain has pretty much colonised (invaded) the entire world and forced their disgusting practices upon everyone. Slavery is a good example. Forced marriage is vile and that's the only point of yours that's not riddled with idiocy.
@@shairafaiza7261 Yes 👍 and look someone else who raises the slave trade as if it was a British led thing 🥱🥱 At least if you want to discuss something as complex as the slave trading carried out HUNDREDS OF YEARS AGO... not modern times as we are discussing in the point I was making, please fact check! The Portuguese first began to kidnap people from the west coast of Africa and to take those they enslaved back to Europe....its estimated that by the early 16th century as much as 10% of Lisbon's population was of African descent. After the European discovery of the American continent, the demand for African labour gradually grew, as other sources of labour - both European and American - were found to be insufficient. The SPANISH took the first African captives to the Americas from Europe as early as 1503, and by 1518 the first captives were shipped directly from Africa to America. The majority of African captives were exported from the coast of West Africa, some 3,000 miles between what is now Senegal and Angola, and mostly from the modern Benin, Nigeria and Cameroon. The main country of destination was Brazil. In fact more slaves were used in South America than anywhere else in the world. Denmark banned slavery which was the first country then followed by Britain in 1807. Brazil banned it in 1888 for context. What point are you trying to make exactly? Do you think that by trying to come across condescending that you sound intellectual because for you to raise the point regarding the British empire is totally pointless. It was part of history and we can get into every countries historical failings if you like, its a subject I am very comfortable discussing. Right so thats that.... so now we're talking modern day and am i wrong? No. You can go to any Muslim country and there are certain things you are told before visiting that country that you can and cannot do. No, you cannot show arms above your elbow and have to keep your shoulders covered, and same with your legs.... are you saying that the UK does not embrace cultures? Anyone can walk around in what they want, be it an hijab or if a traditional Indian wanted to wear their sari it is all allowed. Even if you wanted to dress like a gladiator it would be allowed. So Faiza tell me where as a country that we dont embrace culture?... Every area of every city or town has their own little areas of different cultures. Where I live theres an area of mostly Polish. They have stores with their own foods they can find at home, they own takeaways and restaurants and are fully integrated into the community. There's also a Chinese area not far which is much the same and an Indian area. All of them have property, businesses and are happy, living their lives to the full and thriving, all in the UK. Dont try to tell me that we as a society and a country do not embrace cultural change. Bullshit 🙄 And if you don't like the British practices and way of life, you don't have to live with it. You can live in any country of your choosing.
That man who held that position looking out for at risk and vulnerable people had a good point. He had to be very careful when helping these young girls because when you get the local leaders of the community involved, the already high level of risk rises exponentially. Their family will be forced all the more to kill her or marry her off (not necessarily better based off of my own research, and some girls would argue it's so much worse than death) to regain their "honor". It's a slippery slope to say the least.
Horrible issue, forced marriage is absolutely unacceptable. But it’s also unacceptable to conclude that it’s a Islamic issue. Islam is against forced Marriage, which makes this a cultural problem not a religious one. Please don’t be ignorant
Islam is also against honor killings, right? If that's the case, what would be the proper way to handle a Muslim girl/woman falling in love with a non-Muslim boy/man, since females are forbidden to marry non-Muslims due to the kids automatically (and being required to) follow their father's religion? No offense, but why should any of that even matter anyway if Islam truly is about peace and love?
This all it a result of hypertolerance. There is a difference between respect and hysteria. I think that a lot of Europeans now can’t see difference between this two things. Such things (now I’m taking about situations from the film) must be hard punished by the law, and not only by law, also all the people must speak about it like this man from the last part of the vide. Don’t be scary if somebody call you racist or islamophob. Sometimes it is better to be islamopob than let to such things happen in your country. I’m glad that it doesn’t happen in my country and never will.
There is a very big difference between what a religion actually says and what culture says. This video shows people who apply Islam depending on the cultural beliefs and not on the religious belief and if you don’t understand what that means I will give you an example. In some cultures women are forced into marriage but what Islam actually says is that the woman herself should consent by actually saying the word yes so not her father nor anyone but she herself. What people and cultures still don’t understand is that forcing a woman to any yes doesn’t really count cause when Islam says a woman has to consent so that the marriage is valid Islam actually means that the woman has to be truly convinced that she wants to live with that person and if not then the marriage is not valid.
MBN - CringeBox How can you say that I’m lying to myself? I don’t know what experiences you had with culture and religion, but you also don’t know what experiences I had. So when I say that religion and culture are two different things in so many aspects (at least in my case) I know what I’m talking about. And again I’m not attempting to change your opinion of something. You can think whatever you want. I’m just putting my opinion out there.
This kind of archaic traditions should not be practiced once you live in a country that outlaws it parents must be made to answer to the authorities if this happens to their own children and must be punished severely
I was shocked to see when the imam guy called people of other religions ' kafir" I mean grow up these people are instilling hate in their minds about other religions, learn to tolerate ...stop ruining young girls lives
There is no way I would allow my kids to be forced into anything against their will. Surely u would want the best for ur kids education, a successful happy life. That is more important than any of the other crap they come out with. To hear from supposedly a top member of a mosque, saying a girl is "not good", cos she goes out with non Muslims has me raging. If ur so against non Muslims, westerners and our way of life. Wot u doin in a western country???
This is a religious and family supported problem. Change needs doing about marrying child brides off within the religious and cultural mind set. Quit blaming teachers for not taking on the responsibilities the religious clergy and parents condone.
This is cultural not religious, I’m a Muslim myself, my parents have given me a choice to marry or not, I seriously hate these corrupted “Muslims”, I don’t know where they got the idea that this is ‘okay’ just because she’s ‘silent’ Trust me this is cultural, Our Prophet Mohammed(PBUH) is our role model, true he did marry young girls, but only because the girl obliged, he didn’t touch her without her permission, he did not do anything to her till she was at the age that she wanted to do it.
I have gone beyond the point of worrying about offending. This is wrong and that's it. I tried being diplomatic during the years when I was bringing up my daughter single handed but still being harassed by her Muslim father and his family. Now if I offend the Muslim community tough. Stop bartering your daughters.
If these girls were born in the UK, US, Australia etc. We need a law in place for these poor girls. If forced or kidnapped the marriage should not be legal and any children no matter where they're born should be considered out of rape and given to the mother and brought back home if that's what she wants. It's so sad that this is still taking place. 😢
This is so very sad. U married a man or waman wich u never love and she or he dont love you. If this happend to me i will die first before somebody marry me whom that i dont love.
Those are not British, they're just born in Britain. They're people of a different culture and tradition. This must be respected. Why not shipping them back to Pakistan or Bangladesh or to whatever country they belong to?
They hold a passport, so unfortunately for you, they are British. What makes you think that Pakistan and Bangladesh will suddenly take in millions of British nationals? You are irrational, it's clear you didn't think this through.
So the school calls the family to see what happened to the girl and the family will just lie. How can the schools follow every student. It’s disgusting, the way these girls are treated. But the parents know it’s not allowed so they just lie.
I think some people get confused because forced marriage seems to be very prevalent amongst Islamist but sharia law although based off religious beliefs isn’t a religious act. Sharia law is the law only amongst some Muslim countries and not every Muslim agrees with it. I think the documentary did good by interviewing Muslims who don’t abide by sharia law.
Lachella Rivera The Quran clearly states not to inherit women against their will. Which means even according to shariah law a woman can not be forced in to marriage. So your understanding of shariah law is incorrect. "O believers! It is not permissible for you to inherit women against their will or mistreat them to make them return some of the dowry ˹as a ransom for divorce˺-unless they are found guilty of adultery. Treat them fairly. If you happen to dislike them, you may hate something which Allah turns into a great blessing." (,Quran Surah 4 ayah 19)
@@mohammedkhan2020 Actions and words are too different things. You can talk until you're blue in the face, it won't matter if your actions do not match your words. @@lachellerivera5624 If some muslims do not abide by what the Quran forbids. That does not mean that the shariah is in favour of that thing. Also yes a muslim woman needs the permission of her male guardian to get married. But that does not mean he can with hold his consent with out a reasonable excuse. That still doesn't give her guardian the right to forcefully marry her off to some one she doesn't want to get married to. Islamicly she could reject every proposal and would not have to offer an explanation as to why she does not want to get married to that person. Like I said just because some muslims choose to act against the shariah does not mean the shariah is in favour of what they do. Some muslims drink and take drugs are you now going to say the shariah allows muslims to consume alcohol and drugs? obviously it does not because there is clear text in the Quran which forbids it. Likewise there is clear text in the Quran which forbids forced marriages. You obviously don't even understand what shariah law is
It’s not a religious thing, in Islam it is a sin to force someone into marriage, even sharia law forbids it. They’ve been doing forced marriages even before Islam was created.

Im a little confused, why is it imperative for them to be married so young? Whats bad about them waiting till at least 18? Its predatory at best, pedophilic at worst.
There should be laws against parents being involved in or arranging their children's marriages in any way. It should be up to young couples alone who meet, fall in love and wish to marry. It's nobody else's business but their own. They should be 18 and over when they marry.
Schools deal with so much ,we cannot expect them to deal with this ,yes report the absence ,but who will investigate?? Social services? When your up against lies and worse..... family need to know the UK law and abide by it. Honour murder is just murder ,pure and simple.
the first thing it goes through at that age is the school. What do you mean you 'can't expect them' to deal with it. It is literally an oath by the teachers to make sure of the welfare of every single child
Disgusting 🤬🤬😡…. The Father must be jailed and so should the father inlaw and the husband who rapes her…. Then they need to be deported… We have to stop the abuse of woman…🙏🙏
Everyone keeps blaming the UK over and over and yes they could of done better on their part, but they are not the root of the problem even if they did investigate more or at all, we need to ask y are these parents doing this and y do they feel so comfortable and ok with telling a 14 year old girl that she is being married to her 23 year old cousin.
Why? Because it's been a part of their culture, tradition and religion for approx 1,400 years and they're not prepared to reform any of it, or change their ways for anyone. In this respect, they're still living in the middle ages (remember: in the Islamic Middle-East, the barbaric punishment methods of lashing, stoning, cutting off hands, feet and heads still exist to this very day. Oh, and slavery)!
Oh, ok. So Samim flies all the way to Islamabad to get the underaged illegally married girl, & she's not even allowed to speak to the girl on the telephone once she arrives in Islamabad. Samim is then told 'it's all ok because we have the girl in a "safe place,"' even though the girl doesn't leave Islamabad with Samim. And Samim is happy about this news? After all the tomfoolery that's been proven in this documentary, the mosques lying that they don't perform underage marriages although the undercover reporters have Imams on film saying they have no problem performing underage marriages, but yet Samim "is happy" the poor girl in Islamabad is in "a safe place." Please tell me you're kidding, right? RIGHT!?
These practices aren’t allowed in Islam. It’s quite evidently clear that it is quite specifically stated in the Quran that force marriage is completely wrong and not allowed. If the daughter says no then she is allowed to say no. These practices are because of cultural problems, not completely religious problems
This is also about underage marriage too. Prophet Muhammad married a 6 year old and consummated the marriage when she turned 9/10. He was 53 years old at the time. 53.
So you claim, yet there is Sharia Law. The father tells the daughter to say yes, the daughter must listen to her father, it's in the Quran. Problem solved. As you can see, the men in power can pick and choose to get the desired outcome.
@Incumbent Vinyl clearly you don’t understand. The father is prohibited to ask his daughter to say yes. As this causes the forced marriage which is therefore haram.
@riyad if your trying to insinuate the point your trying to make by bringing this up. You should give up. The prophet Muhammad in his prime and youth married a woman older than him. 20 years older than him. He then didn’t marry anyone else until after his wife passed away. What you also fail to understand is that a 10 year old in the 21st century certainly was not the same as a 10 year old in the 7th century.
@@abdullahsafwan2710 He is not prohibited to tell, not ask, his daughter to say yes. You can stop lying now. *you're Get an education. Correct. @30:41 He seems a bit confused here. Pretty sure Islam teaches to obey the law of the land. Marriage under 16 is illegal in UK and so to break this law, is also to break Islamic teachings.
When stating various religious groups, which arrange forced and/or underage marriages, at 33:41 the lawyer Nazir Afzal mentions Catholics... with the argument that you can't 'pigeon-hole.' Well CORRECTION Mr Afzal: Catholics DO NOT 'practice' either forced marriages or underage marriages. To do so, would be breaking the Christian/Catholic faith, as opposed to following it. The ONLY exception could be the tiny (rebellious) Travellers community, where they do tend to marry young. But even within that tiny Traveller minority (between just 200-300,000 as opposed to millions), the marriages are 'never' forced and each of the couples are always of a similar age - marriages under 16 however, are extremely rare. The couples choose each other and almost always result in a happy relationship. Whereas this forced/underage marriage problem is RIFE within those other religious groups... but in particular Islam. So yes Mr Afzal, you can pigeon-hole. Btw, this documentary was made in 2013... and to date (July 2020) not one single prosecution against a forced/underage marriage by an Islamic family in the UK has yet taken place!!! Clearly, the authorities are still scared stiff of being accused of racism, whilst thousands of poor girls suffer in silence! Disgraceful and disgusting!!!
I don’t think he was talking about mainstream Christian/Catholic groups. I do know there are radical fundamentalist catholic/Christian groups that do force marriage or underage marriage, most of them are considered religious cults. They aren’t well known and are very secretive groups but they are out there.
GUURL unknown this happened somebody i know when she was 19 yrs old. Totally wrong decision as he was already married with a child. Ruined her education life. she was not prepared mentally. Now in her 30s she is beginning to find herself.
Yes Banaz, Mayra and soo on these are the ones noticed. If you see the documentaries you will know the Britain police aren't very efficient when dealing with abuse against Muslim girls in these families. They claim is because they don't want to seem racist or something. These girls had to die for their cases to be know.
All marriages should be under respective gov't. If any marriage takes place under the pretext of religion such marriages should immediately checked by Govt rep.
Are they selling theses girls?I find it hard to believe this is just about "tradition".This happens in the ISA too,and with some Christen/ Mormon sects as well.
Are these people so desperate for money that they have to do this?? They shouldn't say South Asian because it's mostly Middle Eastern countries that do this!
Middle east is still part of Asia. The point is, most modern day forced marriages come from Asian countries in general. They don’t have to be mentioning region specific stuff just to make you happy. And like the other comment said, most cases are from Pakistani people which is south Asia. Watch the video before spewing nonsense
I'm a Indian Guyanese woman! I am totally against arrange marriage! I truly believe whoever you fall in love with you have the human right to marry! I married a white man and this is my second marriage. My first marriage was to a white man and second marriage is to a white man! But even than my family didn't want me to marry a black man! My sister married a black man. That was a big problem in my family!
Okay you got to realize when these laws were written people didn't make it to 30. 12, or puberty deemed a girl a woman. So really. There was nothing wrong with marriage at 14. Now people live longer, and are mentally more baby like longer. Not forced to act like adults from a young age.
I beg to differ, many of muhammads wives lived well past the age of 50, so that tells us that women did indeed live past child bearing age back then, so absolutely no reason to marry a CHILD THEN OR NOW.
In Islam, we are told that no one can force someone to get married, even if u are their parents. The groom and the bride have to agree to it on their own
There's a difference between culture and religion. Forced marriage is completely forbidden in islam as prophet Muhammad said “The virgin should not be given in marriage until her permission has been sought.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6968; Muslim, 1419 and “Chapter: The father or other guardian should not give a virgin or previously married woman in marriage except with their consent.” plus force marriage is not recognized as a valid marriage by Allah. I suggest u change ur title because u cant claim somethings religious wen its not. Force marriage is when both or 1 person is forced and in cultures it usually happens because the parent's want their child to marry a certain person, or inorder to get rid of their kids ownership/responsibility or want to kindof punish their kid because they did something which was morally "bad" ygm. Which is totally wrong and i, most muslims and islam is strongly against.
I have read the Koran, and Forced marriage is prohibited, yet some not all Islamic practices are trying to make it part of their holy book. If you move to europe or the west reject your old fashioned rules and follow are laws and regulations.
I remember a girl disappearing from school when I was around 14, and when i asked her friends they said she'd been sent to Pakistan to get married. At the time I remember being shocked, but now I'm older, the thought of it is horrifying.

John Armstrong how are our schools teaching sexual abnormality exactly, as a mother of school age children I feel I need to know
MaxTilley Take a look at the No Outsiders program which is being introduced into our primary schools by the back door. It, or something similar, will be coming to a primary school near you very very soon.
John Armstrong excellent point!

@C. S.

As a Muslim, forced marriage is not allow. It disgusting to see the 'imams' twists the word of the prophet
The main thing they use to get them into these arrange marriages is guilt. "If you don't do this it will bring shame to our family"
I love the work this channel does to expose the disgusting bullshit that humans do.

Bullshit 🙄
And if you don't like the British practices and way of life, you don't have to live with it.
Then why are they claiming it's done because of their religion?
Exactly. Hypertolerance is the correct word. Nowadays people are afraid to be called islamophobe. Wrong in all aspects.

What makes you think that Pakistan and Bangladesh will suddenly take in millions of British nationals? You are irrational, it's clear you didn't think this through.
Forced child marriage is a human rights violation, not a celebration
Those who perform these marriages should be prosecuted.
If you happen to dislike them, you may hate something which Allah turns into a great blessing."
(,Quran Surah 4 ayah 19)
@@mohammedkhan2020 Actions and words are too different things. You can talk until you're blue in the face, it won't matter if your actions do not match your words. Also you can't legally marry a child without the parent's consent which means it is highly possible that some of these women are forced into marriage by their parents.
You obviously don't even understand what shariah law is
This is a cultural thing and not a religious thing
It is a religious thing not cultural.
If it was cultural than south asian countries would've accepted it, which they don't.
@@MusabNaveed silence
It’s not a religious thing, in Islam it is a sin to force someone into marriage, even sharia law forbids it. They’ve been doing forced marriages even before Islam was created.
Soretti facts
@@goatnaldo720 according to Islam "silence = consent". this isn't something I'm making up, it's in the hadith, stop blaming it on culture and recognize the problem.
They should run away from their parents and never look back.
Im a little confused, why is it imperative for them to be married so young? Whats bad about them waiting till at least 18? Its predatory at best, pedophilic at worst.
Throw the parents in jail!
It’s ok to lie to infidels
I agree everyone should learn this i wish this episode was on dvd so i could watch it off line this is shocking!
Of course every single adult in contact should be expected to deal with it.
Disgusting 🤬🤬😡…. The Father must be jailed and so should the father inlaw and the husband who rapes her…. Then they need to be deported…
We have to stop the abuse of woman…🙏🙏
*you're
Get an education.
Correct. Ten year olds reached puberty even *later* due to lack of nutritious food and vitamins that is available today. Ten year old girls were not as developed as ten year old girls are today.
In Islam don't have law force marry if you by force implement this law to Islam that is your choice ..
jhshs bbsbbsbshhshs we hace sharia law, its taught in schools
Does anyone know if this is still happening in British Pakistani families today / recently? And what is the percentage?
GUURL unknown this happened somebody i know when she was 19 yrs old. Totally wrong decision as he was already married with a child. Ended in divorce then by 21 she was married again by pressure from her mother's sister n friends saying that a step father and step daughter can't live under 1 roof so better to get her married off, another divorce happened.

These girls had to die for their cases to be know.
nothing religious about this in any way whatsoever. disgusting.
You didn't know that Sharia Law is part of Islam?
All marriages should be under respective gov't. If any marriage takes place under the pretext of religion such marriages should immediately checked by Govt rep.
This is why some women wear the hiqab,
because they are not allowed out of the house without it.
This kind of happenings will not prosper if the officials reject the proposal outright knowing the girls are underage it's that simple😏😏😏
Are they selling theses girls?I find it hard to believe this is just about "tradition".This happens in the ISA too,and with some Christen/ Mormon sects as well.
Please, flee and change your name. Tell no one.
Are these people so desperate for money that they have to do this?? They shouldn't say South Asian because it's mostly Middle Eastern countries that do this!
Almost everyone involved here was Pakistani. Why didn't you watch the video before commenting?
You must be a Christian
Why is this still happening,
Its babaric
Woke Europe demands we embrace new cultures
12:08 no young man! As a woman, if I say no then it means no!
why is so hard to understand. I hope anyone that goes against this “no” dies miserably.
So it is useless going abroad to school then..
The groom and the bride have to agree to it on their own
Forced marriages are also going on in the US as well.
At 16 ? These are children why they Don't no what they need yet in life at that age this is traumatizing
Thank you for sharing ! Totally agree with u 💯
Im sure ive watched this before
She's asking if there is a problem too much it's obvious bc she keeps saying her age. Why is she talking like she's sick or out of breath?
I have read the Koran, and Forced marriage is prohibited, yet some not all Islamic practices are trying to make it part of their holy book. If you move to europe or the west reject your old fashioned rules and follow are laws and regulations.
