I just can't comprehend how beating and r*aping someone isn't seen as dishonorable but a woman leaving her husband is... Its just so insane to me how people genuinely believe this. My heart aches for women in these situations.
Absolutely disgusting isn't it? My heart ached for banaz, so beautiful. I can comprehend it either, the world has drastically changed & with it humanity aswell. There's needs to be more awareness made for the women stuck in a situation as this. So that they'll feel safe when seeking safety. I know there's already organisations out there working to raise awareness but if they could somehow find a way to advertise more in places women go alit ,like public bathrooms. Just like all those mental health awareness posters. 💯 this is a just a tragic & what those evil bastards did to her while ending her life. 😢😢 AUSSIE CHICK WATCHING HERE✌🏽
this case makes no sense why would rape her and kill her it is an honor killing do these understand anything about the kurds its honor you rape their honor more this case with all do respect to the victim makes no sense and western police in general seems to ignore complaints of muslims on purpose to push them to honor crime and shame them in media intentionally i got swiss buddy a revert who had that happen to him
Her sister is wonderful. SHE is honourable and extremely brave. She has lost her whole family by being a witness but she has done the right thing. Her sister should be proud. She is a strong woman and an amazing example to women across the world
those people have nothing to do in europe ,;occident, we can't educate all those muslim contries... Why the sister is weraing this niinja clothes?? She is still muslim that the matter.
The problem is islam. as the mowen say at the and, honours crime are rejected by the majority but it's still going one because they are scared it's exctaly the same thing with radicalism, islam is nasty in the essence itself, because of what is written in the coran! wake up occident!
It made me feel physically ill hearing that be said, pure proof out of the horse mouth that this is how screwed the system is when it comes to real complaints, esp in NZ, they just get dismissed, then told to come back when you start to feel worried/fearful?! 😑😠🙄. What a blimmin robot that cop was, just ticking the boxes with her monotone voice and long silences, but to hear in the end she didn't even stick to the police word and investigate... did she even write any notes..?!?!? I bloody hope she got fired! Anyone know her name, I want to know more... 🤔 Rip BANAZ 💜✌ *This is the second video b2b I've watched about authority being slack and not doing their job to even minimum standard on the very first meeting of the person concerned and therefore results in death.. 1 time is two many when it comes to professionals slipping up. Ugh it makes my blood boil. Just sickening that the majority of the time when a person finds the strength to reach out to the police for help, whether how minor or major the situation is and whether its going to highly affect a person and get dismissed, and then they don't go back for the help ever again like they originally thought they could so easily but it becomes more humiliating being belittled from the ones who serve and protect.. 😕 From my own experience, I know the police are lazy, slack and willing to leave people in danger and with the feeling I have from the trauma, I will not put myself through that again, to be told to come back....okaaay umm so when lady, after the house has caught fire or when I'm home from hospital after the knife has already gone through the door and into my skull... What is wrong with humans! Ffs. Go home love and we will keep you updated with what your abuser says when we question him casually, yunno because we will get to you first to make sure your safe from his rage when he knows you went to the police.. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
This story is so sad. Just read that Rahmat Sulemani hanged himself 10 years after Banaz’s cruel death. The man was devastated and never found love again. He said that there was “no life for him” after her death, that Banaz was “his present, his future, his hope.” Rahmat had spent the rest of his years under witness protection. My heart breaks for Banaz and Rahmat. What this family did to Banaz is unspeakable. She was surrounded by the absolute worst kind of people and the criminal justice system failed her.
Please Google Payzee Mahmod. Banaz's sister and an inspirational woman. She is trying to get the laws changed around forced marriage and has done a Ted Talk and a lot of activism around the subject.
This was so disgusting how NO BODY did anything. She was crying out for help and no one helped her at all. Its so infuriated cause it happens to every women, we are constantly dismissed and this is the worst case scenario, she explained it many times and they let her down.
Women is more than one hun.... no need for the “s” 👍🏽👍🏾😎🤓 but you’re very correct in your comment. Its why people period choose not to report certain things... it’s crazy as heck how they allow this Iish.... all around from the family to the cops it’s just an atrocity
Breaks my heart when I watch her in the police station and after all she said, they did nothing to help that poor girl. I feel sick. They still do not take DV seriously enough. I wonder how much of a man they feel like locked up in jail.
How can a man, a father, who is supposed to love and protect his little girl, so cold heartedly have her murdered? Is love not greater than honor? What kind of honor is this?
Satanic Islam honor. Jesus Christ is the way truth and life. Theres tons of testimonies of Muslims encountering Jesus and renouncing Islam. Coming from a former Buddhist and new ager
Those so-called men, worrying so muchabout what people (who they don't really know) think that they would kill their family member ( whom they do know). ABSOLUTE MADNESS!!!! Their honour is so fragile.
@mick clean xtianity is just as horrible as islam!! Gullible unintelligent fools continue to keep these cults alive and harm their children and others with their hatred!
As she was giving her statement, that female cop just sat there, no questions asked...and then just tells her to call them again if her life is in danger. How daft can she be?! And she switches off the room light even before Banaz exited the room. Shows the utmost disrespect for this poor girl. And another female cop even contemplated bringing charges on her for being drunk and making up stories. How sad! This girl had nowhere to turn.
This is one of the most heartbreaking parts of this case, if not the most. The fact that most girls are not brave enough to speak up or feel like they can't and are to afraid. Yet Banaz was brave and spoke up and still got ignored. She didn't just go once, even after nothing being done once she still had the bravery to keep going until it was too late. It's just heartbreaking. I am someone who is interested in true crime and watch a lot of videos, but this topic is something that really affects me, how not only can a parent do this to their baby girl, but how police can fail a beautiful young women on so many occasions. She was terrified by her family and she must have been absolutely even more terrified at the fact she wasn't being believed. The police are a massive part to play in the fact she ended up murdered. There is a lot of cases involving murder which can't be prevented but this is a case where genuinely this could have been avoided. She was a young women who was terrified of her family and they even questioned that, its honestly the most unbelievable thing you can imagine. All honor killing stories are horrific, but Banaz's is just definitely the most heartbreaking because she spoke up so many times. She was a very brave and beautiful girl who deserved so much better.
was it not the case that she went to them because her life was in danger? i mean they basically said, ok well leave now , and if you get scared again call us.
It's the "abusive metality" of UK regime, et al, towaeds their homeland that made them refugees in the first place. they had to abandon their friends and relatives and former lives to try to adapt to unfamiliar institutions, cultures, languages, and bigotry. You thought they escaped to eat fish & chips?
@Christina Reynolds The situations are not even remotely the same. Honor killings do not happen to people who are from the western world (when I say from, I mean originally from). Families in the west (with the exception of some recent immigrants from the East) do not kill their daughters if they disagree with their choices. For you to try to suggest that's the case is very disingenuous
Christina Reynolds So England would be the place to freely practice anti-secular tribalism? Extemism is an issue, one that shouldnt be oversimplified. However, refugee status is granted based on religious/ethnic persecution, which stems from imperial coups, sanctions, and war. And they don't just let anybody in.
@@patriciawickholm3617 Big time! She should get life like the rest of them. Unbelievable. Even in 2006 these crimes were known. They even pixxled her face instead of showing it everywhere.
Wait, what!! I am from Mitcham, and the cemetery where Banaz is laid to rest is only a short distance away. To this day, I have never heard a word about Banaz or this case at all. I am shocked. I shall locate her without a doubt and offer prayers for her the next time I am by that area, insha'Allah. To think that nobody in Mitcham, including myself, is aware of this case is shocking to me. Absolutely heartbreaking 💔
Banaz's boyfriend killed himself because of the trauma caused by her murder. They didn't just kill one person, they killed two. And the entire community of people responsible for protecting these murderers & rapists deserves to be in jail too, not just the ones that carried out the deed.
The police woman interviewing the poor girl should be relieved from her job and all other police officers that did not come to get rescue..l hope they are haunted by her begging eyes
@mike brinkhuh the so called religion of peace. This is the reality of Islam. But their people will just keep on denying....and have no answers to questions like why only women should wear burkha and cover up thrie faces.....their religion is full of male supremacy and they treat their woman just like rags. Inspite of all the crimes happening....and they are clearly visible....all the terrorist attacks in the name of jihad....but still everyone should shut up and keep on saying Islam is religion of peace.......great....slow claps Height of hypocrisy
@@Tate525 this is not Islam, this is there culture. The victim's sister kept insisting in there culture. In our country India too these honor killings happen mostly in non Muslim families.
Her testimony is heartwrenching. It sends chills down my spine. Poor girl. Her family let her down, and the system failed her big time. Rest in peace, princess 😢
Just seeing her interview with the police took me to a deep place of sadness. You can see how desperate she was and the police did nothing. Not only was she murdered by her family but the police assisted by not helping her. Shame on the police!
I know... would have helped create her sense of Learned Helplessness. ...Her sister got away after the attempt on her life. ...Banaz believed she could not get away. And I wonder if that was because she was abused so badly in the arranged marriage she had; and that it broke her spirit. What a pity she did not run away and go into hiding like her sister. And even somehow got into contact with her. Maybe her, her sister and her boyfriend could have all changed their names and moved to New Zealand or something. ...Poor Banaz, I felt such deep sorrow for her. I hope that her Soul is at peace and that she and her boyfriend are together (supposedly he died) and that she finds joy, healing and happiness. Hope her and her boyfriend have a new life together where they have a family and live happily ever after.💞
@Siddhartha dash if my daughter did the same i will do the same but in my country its ok to kill your daughter to protect your honour ....and in a period of time alot of fathers start threatening their daughter and start killing the guilty ones untill the relationships between boys and girls is declining ...
@Siddhartha dash girl who tf r u fooling nowhere in Islam does it say to murder Islam is a peaceful religion don't bring religion into this it's the culture that is to blame
I grew up down the street from banaz and I’m glad to say that the house of horror where she was murdered is currently being demolished. Every time I go past it makes me shiver.
The likelihood of her being put in the ground alive is very real. That family hated her; someone they should have LOVED, PROTECTED, SUPPORTED. This is disgusting and may we begin to hear of less of these senseless murders. There is no honour in such barbarism.
Yeah. I am going to get political: we should fund propaganda against religions, have occassional empathy exercises in schools, and suspend all advertisements of religions which promote murder.
My story is the same as Banaz, but I managed to escape at 17 before my family could hurt me. I wish I was living abroad, but my life was so hard in the Middle East trying to run away and survive on my own. I had no one to help and absolutely no support for years. It took me more than 10 years to be able to live a normal life and get over all the abuse and the beatings I went through. Even talking about what I went through was so painful. I know running away was not easy, but now I know it was the best disicion and I saved my life. I could've been dead too, but I'm alive and happy now, and want to tell my story to all the women who go through this so they run away before it's too late. RIP Banaz 😔
I pray for your physical peace and peace of mind ❤ Reading so many stories of girls and women who are victims of these treacherous and heinous acts makes my heart ache for every one of you. Please tell your story because unfortunately it is not well known in my country (USA) and the light needs to be shed on this dark and evil practice. 🙏🏽
This is disgraceful! Why do Muslim men have so little feeling for women except for sexual release? Things need to change at least in modernized countries.
Kids are so vulnerable and mentally brainwashed to think that is normal.. this girl was brave to do this, but still his beautiful life was taken away.. but her soul never.. that family will have a horrible karma.. I am proud of her sister also who fight for Banaz 🧡🧡
No their should be a law saying that if you want to live in our country, you leave all the honor and culture stof at home, otherwice you are not welcome.....
@@jannepetersen4660 no, that’s too xenophobic. They should be able to do whatever cultural stuff they want as long as no one gets hurt in the process. Not just for this culture, but any culture.
Ivy Grace a very uneducated comment...the police are powerless and can’t do anything until a crime has been committed. Their hands were tied! Blame parliament who pass laws rather than powerless police men and women!
Louisa SpecialFX I don't know what country you live in but police have power that is one reason why people go to them to seek help cause they have power and one is to protect. She provided soo much information but they didn't investigate and dismissed her saying she was just drunk and considering to even press charges
Poor girl asked the investigating officer " what can you do for me" And the answer she got was " i'll let you know" That is completely unacceptable and they basically signed this poor girls death certificate right then and there.
I was expecting them to at least refer her to a women's refuge or any other service where she can find help, while they investigate her claims. But nothing just "I'll let you know"
"They missed all the signs that she was in danger". No they didn't miss anything they apparently didn't care and that's beyond heartbreaking. Stories like this are so sad, I have no other words.
@@2msvalkyrie529 What are you saying exactly? Because you put a question mark at the end which means you're asking a question. So why would you be asking the question at me?
@@genesis2936 that is a big lie. Not sure if you are intentionally lying or it’s not deliberate. However, they were aware at that time of these things. Regardless of the evil culture of the males in the family, she deserved to be protected and she displayed enough signs for them to act. Even for the domestic violence of her ex husband on her, this alone should have warranted a thorough investigation and she should have been placed in a woman’s shelter and hidden away. They did not do this. Did you even watch the full video? They did not care, starting from the very first female police officer/investigator. She clearly asked what they (police) could do for her and the officer said “if you are scared you must come to us”. She was right there, scared and asking for help. They failed her.
The police officer who conducted Banaz's interview was criminally negligent for not following up on that. A disgraceful representation of the Police as a whole, she should have been fired for gross misconduct.
Girl the police already have a disgraceful representation as it is....this story wouldn't make them appear to be anymore careless than they already are...
@@dashwolf8057 You obviously know nothing about Islam, and I'm saying this as an Ortodox Christian. Read Quran before opening your mouth, to see how much Christianity and Islam are actually similar. And what happened to Banaz is unfortunate on so many levels but the reason is their culture and not religion. A true Muslim would never do this to his child!! ❤️☮️
@Hoaller it's been a while since I watched the video... It would be polite to wait until everyone is out but that is still a huge reach. You can't claim someone has a negligent attitude just because they turned a light switch off. Either way, it wasn't the police fault she died. The blame is squarely on her family and religion/culture.
I don't know what's More Disgusting the fact her Own family brutally murdered her or the fact she went to the police Multiple times & they did absolutely NOTHING. This makes me sick! It's heartbreaking 💔
Or raping your own family member before strangling them, that's what shocked me the most they were willing to inflict incest rape, they are completely sick in every way.

@@blackpuppy5645 I'm talking about the motives and psychology of the MOTHER that would have allowed her to actively collude in the brutal vicious murder of the daughter that she grew in her own body for 9 months. The mother planned and discussed the killing on the phone with the murderers according to Banaz in the letter that she wrote to the police. The mother then left the house 10.minutes before the murder taking her other child so that the coast was clear for the men. She believed that Banaz deserved this because she didn't want to stay married to an abusive older man she was forced to marry when she was 17.
The mother should have been punished as well according to me even if it was for a few years. Cuz she cud have taken banaz and fled the country or just changed the identity of her and banaz and gone to a diff country or a far off city.

and of-course Father and uncle brought honour to the family by going to the jail on the charges of murder. wow. their level of sickness is beyond comprehension.
It is not sickness they are men without bravery that don’t want women to show them how small they are. These women showed them what bravery, strength are and they couldn’t handle it poor pieces of scrap these “men” are.

The cops failed her for sure because they took so long to help her, I acknowledge that but they didnt continue the case based on her order so they are not to blame for her death. You can call me whatever but honor killing occurs largely in the middle east and so does beheading. The women are treated like second class citizens and are unfairly treated. A woman cant even get a divorce in some of those countries! The husband can beat her, rape her, etc. And you denying the obvious is why they get away with it.
But did she consent? Probably not and in that culture, her consent was probably not even needed. It is bullshit. She was a British citizen and deserved their protection under British law.
Damn man just heartbreaking. There were so many chances to save her. But no. Justice system truly failed her. I just hope that they learned from this horrible tragedy. She knew she was going to die, begged for help. None given. Tragic sacrifice 😞

Gabriela Chavez I strongly doubt they would have been accused of racism for helping her. The only time that’s considered a variable is during legislation, not on a case by case basis. In fact, this case would probably not have been known to the public at all if they’d protected her. The reason it’s a conversation is because they failed.
What really pisses me off about this is that the mother ( who conspired with the father ) wasn’t sent to prison !!! And I’d go even further in saying that all the police who ignored her should have been not just fired but punished !!

Houyeme Nouali, well some families in middle east don’t follow the Shariah law which is good but majority do which is just awful. We stayed in Middle East(Abu Dhabi/Dubai) for a year, some decent Arab families just let their kids do whatever they like, like exploring other religions, having to choose their own bf/gf, etc... while also making sure they’re not getting involved with bad people. Some families are just so bad that the father would beat his wife, children, etc... a family at the same floor we live in is actually a good one, but the one flat in the building got reported I think. Someone complained of shouting and stuff and I guess they contacted police? Anyways, I kinda envy good families that love and protect each other while giving each other freedom since I came from a traditional asian family myself. Like, the type of family that would belittle you and call you disrespectful when you try to defend yourself, and would verbally abuse you when people start noticing you’re showing symptoms of mental illness.

Houyeme Nouali, yeah it’s kinda sad that sometimes friends are more like family than your family. My family would just yell at me when I try to open up to them about problems so I talk to friends instead. I’m also losing motivation in school because no matter what I do, they’re still not enough for them. It’s like if I make a small mistake all the things I did for them fades away. It’s kinda funny tbh, it’s kinda funny how they’d just refuse medical help from our school after I got sent to the clinic multiple times because of panic attacks too and then blame me. Then they’d threaten to hurt me and my brother, they used to beat us when we were kids too just like any normal traditional asian family. Idk if it’s normal or not. @Angelyn... I noticed other things too about when Banaz talked to the woman officer and then I thought that maybe it was just that the documentary fast forwarded the interview (which they partially did, but it was still horrible how she was treated). I'm glad you saw it too that the woman officer basically resented even having to talk to this poor young woman. I erased a comment that I wrote the first time I saw this because I thought I maybe judged the FEMALE (and that's how I put it) officer too harshly. I know I did not misjudge her and I feel horrible for how hard it was for Banaz to go to police in the first place and that maybe, just maybe she felt a small sigh of relief when she saw that she was going to talk with another woman. The interviewed officers who showed a lot of care spend all their time investigating homicides & disappearances, so they didn't even learn about her until she was reported missing by her boyfriend. 😔 _(Since that area's population is large enough to require completely separate teams, etc.)_
"Now that I'm giving this statement, what can you do for me?" I really felt for her and the police woman's answer showed how she really didn't take serious concern on her case. I take this story so personal😓
I was threatened by my ex bf.. he put a knife to my neck when drunk and I took the blade in my arm protecting my face. He went to jail one night, out he next day and told I didn't have enough evidence against him and that I could've done the harm to myself. This happened in Belgium. I took my children and left him. He began following me on the streets, calling my children's schools and had them investigate me instead to try and take my children away.. I had pictures of him following me at different times of the day and took it to police and they told me I couldn't do anything. They wouldn't even provide me a written statement to take to my embassy for help.. I'm glad me and my children are safe now. It hurts my heart to know this poor young woman wasn't so fortunate 💔😪
The whole system should be sued. The people who interviewed her when she reported and did nothing should get fired..you are part of the reason why she got killed...
It's easy to blame others but truth is she didnt help herself. 1145 - she says she left and went back to that same partner/family because of her culture and religion (police cant force her to not go back) Police wouldve offered her refuge many time but I guarantee you she refused. I can guarantee you she also refused to provide statements to support a rape or assault case. As sad as it is with the victims help the authority cannot do anything legally. Yes it sounds really bad what they did to her but reality is theres nothing police can do without the support of the victim
At 19:19 of the video when they mention she gave a statement it clearly reads her also stating on he statement she doesnt want police to do anything rather she just wants to report it. It further states she doesnt want to leave her partner and go to a place of safety which leaves her at high risk. These are the reasons the authority your blaming couldn't do much for her. Mate I work in this field it's hard when victims come for help but then they retract the statements and help they ask for because they dont want reprocausins or want to leave their home etc
@@haadiali9990 That is the police's job. Not one individuals job to look after her. Don't try to blame this on the man she loved instead of the men who killed her.

To anyone wondering and afraid to speak up against honour killings in fear of being deemed racist, DON’T. Please speak up, we are against this and we need everyone to stand against this. No one in their right mind will think it’s racist if you speak up against honour killings, especially if you have a chance to save a life.
Many times when speaking up about honor killings, forced marriages, and other ways Muslim women and girls are abused and terrorized by their families and communities, I get comments like "all religions have extremists" and "Judaism and Christianity (and other faiths) are sexist too." BAH!!! So in other words, because "other religions, cultures, etc., are also misogynistic, not just Islam" we should just turn a blind eye to the abuses and struggles of Muslim women and girls, and not speak up for them. 😒🙄
There was a woman that had created a hot line in Canada for women to call if they had a price on their head for an honour killing; she had posters put up with the number and message. Ultimately it was deemed racist and they were forced to remove the posters/billboards and close the hotline. People wanted to help save lives and protect women but they were forced to stop because it was deemed racist and islamaphobic
This horrific and disgusting they deserve the death penalty this beautiful girl lost her life for honour what honour this is the most dishonorable disgusting sick thing to do to these woman and as for the police they should be fired
Rahmat committed suicide in 2016, apparently having never gotten over what had happened to Banaz. I hope they found the peace in death that they were never afforded in life.
@HesMade TheDecision This isn't the place for you to preach whatever religious belief you may have. Go preach it on Facebook or twitter instead, not where people are discussing someone who committed suicide.
Sad to hear. I watched another video and just watched it in a movie last night where they are now having the women commit suicide so they don't get charged with honour killings. This is one of the most disturbing things I've ever heard about.
She asked "what can you do for me?" The ladys answer was basically "nothing". Banaz wanted the answer to be "protection". This is so sad, what culture would allow this?
I know right so sad. You could tell Banaz was hoping the lady would say they would protect her. I feel like if she was a young white woman they would have taken her more seriously
@@sen.m7832 The hundreds of white women (and their families) in the UK alone who ve been murdered by their husbands after they went to police (after they got a sympathetic ear but not much else or ineffectual support like Banaaz) would beg to differ.
When she was at the police station, she looked completely broken. She literally had no where to go, I mean the police and her own family didn’t protect her
Even telling the police what her husband was continuously subjecting her to and then they didn't arrest him for assault and rape...she must have felt so alone and hopeless...
Nora Flowers Her own family did worse than not protecting her. They were looking for the opportunity to kill her Police was ineffective as it is in most family abuse cases even in the USA.
@@timeabiro3878 bingo. But murder is murder anywhere in the world and should be looked into thoroughly. In this case, what I got out of it was that she sort of wanted to protect her family. Don't ask me why as I am not the girl in this video, but then anyone would start to question why ? Why not expose all of them and ask the police or the proper authorities to do an investigation ? And if the location is correct. Iran I believe it was, what laws do Iran have that would prohibit an investigation from taking place ? And what anyone can and ought to draw from this case, is that are forced marriages a thing in that region of the world ? Because I find that to be as bizzare as the sacrifices I was reading of in the Holy Bible. And essentially what made her such a target ? What position or status or authority in that society did she hold ?
Those investigators are disgusting. Banaz told the police that people were following her. She said her family didn't approve of the things she did and she was scared. Yet, the female investigator said "If you feel afraid for your life, just let us know" WTF! She literally told them she was being followed and was afraid for her life, and they did nothing. Absolute failure of the justice system. So so sad.
Dont they have safe houses for abused women the way the US does? Why didnt her boyfriend keep her safe. He must have known that any contact with her family meant death.
Many cannot believe this happens. Someday, people will comprehend that cultures are very different and do not value life as we do. If only this women had a gun.
The British culture had not fully understood the Middle East culture and so could not imagine the parents and relatives would kill their own for her refusing to allow the girl’s husband to beat and rape her.
people think you are being over dramatic, looking for attention. I told someone I thought I could trust and was a friend. that if anything happened to me, look at my ex.... she just laughed 4 months later he tried to kill me; obviously he failed, after 2nd attempt, I finally left with the clothes on my back.
I suffered exactly the same as i was growing up, at the hands of my immigrant parents/jailers. That lot only cared about how they looked in the community in which i lived. I had no life at all, so as soon as i turned 18 i ran away one night and i caught a train to the opposite side of The UK, never to see any of em ever again. My life has been very difficult as i was left traumatised after years of abuse by those two and a horrid brother who was 12 years my senior. I am glad i escaped as i cannot describe to you how awful it was, not being allowed to do anything or go anywhere and being constantly watched on my way home from school by my horrid father's friends/henchmen and beaten for the slightest thing. I value my freedom very much. I hope my story helps other young ladies of ethnic minorities who may be going through the same. Please seek help and get as far away from your abusers as possible. I had to leave town otherwise they would've killed me! I hope this poor young lady who is featured in this video, is at peace now and as for her so called family, they are a disgrace!

Thank God you had the luck & courage to run away, well done, bless you for all your suffering, hope that you have had help overcoming your nightmares, try and be happy and positive and enjoy each day, try & forget those evil parents & family. So much respect for these police officers and detectives who pursued the killers back to Iraq and got them extradited to the UK. My sister was murdered by relatives and we were not in a position to bring them to justice because they managed to bribe the entire police force in my country. Watching this makes me want justice for my sister because there was never any closure...not even a death certificate!!
Sorry for your sister. The culture is so wrong. Allah never says to not love someone, does he? Edit: I am a Hindu, but there is no god in this world who would say so

This young woman has my greatest respect. At 17, I was also in a violently abusive relationship as a young girl. I struggle with self loathing and addiction despite having a wonderfully compassionate husband who I love more than life. He deserves so much better. Absolutely disgusting isn't it? My heart ached for banaz, so beautiful. I can comprehend it either, the world has drastically changed & with it humanity aswell. There's needs to be more awareness made for the women stuck in a situation as this. So that they'll feel safe when seeking safety. *This is the second video b2b I've watched about authority being slack and not doing their job to even minimum standard on the very first meeting of the person concerned and therefore results in death..
From my own experience, I know the police are lazy, slack and willing to leave people in danger and with the feeling I have from the trauma, I will not put myself through that again, to be told to come back....okaaay umm so when lady, after the house has caught fire or when I'm home from hospital after the knife has already gone through the door and into my skull...

He said that there was “no life for him” after her death, that Banaz was “his present, his future, his hope.” Rahmat had spent the rest of his years under witness protection.
This family was a refugee from an abusive regime. Went to UK for a better life but also brought their abusive mentality. This is disgusting.
Don't behave like men in the UK don't kill women for exactly the same reason: e.g. "If I/he can't have her"...
NEVER REPORT ABUSE, LEAVE, DISAPPER PLan an escape route and never return BUT NEVER REPORT IT, YOU WILL BE THE ONE WHO DIES, NOT THE ABUSERS.

She believed that Banaz deserved this because she didn't want to stay married to an abusive older man she was forced to marry when she was 17.

@@dbzgal04 I hope they speak up. This is not ok to suffer.

Her boyfriend committed suicide in 2016...He never recovered from this trauma.
😢
I wonder if it was actually suicide or had the family got to him
He was probably killed by them.
What a pathetic loser.
@@thelmajohn4149 Thats just dumb, why take your own life because someone you liked died? Get over it, travel, it's possible. Pansy.

Yes Islam worships Satan. The way to Heaven is Jesus Christ the way truth and life. Coming from a former Buddhist.

Thats because islam is a counterfeit satanic religion...
Rahmat committed suicide in 2016, apparently having never gotten over what had happened to Banaz.
I hope they found the peace in death that they were never afforded in life.
I hope they are together in a better place its heart breaking that happened.
@HesMade TheDecision I'm not sure I understand how it relates, sorry
@HesMade TheDecision How very arrogant to state that your way is the only way to heaven. What kind of a God do you think He is! He is merciful to ALL.
Who is watching this in 2020?
Rip banaz

i watched today in 2020...this people should kept on death row
I am!!!
Ashanti Singh this Is so sad. The poor girl
Ma.
May the detectives who took over her case & brought justice to her live long & happy lives.
They should’ve removed her from the situation immediately Nd pit her in a safe place. She literally told them she was going to die!
A racist and sexist one. And the woman officer who disbelieved her should have been fired.
@@sen.m7832 The hundreds of white women (and their families) in the UK alone who ve been murdered by their husbands after they went to police (after they got a sympathetic ear but not much else or ineffectual support like Banaaz) would beg to differ.

To RUN FOR HER LIFE as her sister
F the demonic family
F the hypocrisy of the police 👮♀️
And beautiful too. So sad.
This story makes me hurt inside
i remember hearing her case a few years back absolutely heartbreaking
When she was at the police station, she looked completely broken. She literally had no where to go, I mean the police and her own family didn’t protect her
Even telling the police what her husband was continuously subjecting her to and then they didn't arrest him for assault and rape...she must have felt so alone and hopeless...
well because her own family was planning to murder her and she was well aware of this.
Nora Flowers
Her own family did worse than not protecting her. They were looking for the opportunity to kill her
Police was ineffective as it is in most family abuse cases even in the USA.
@@Neilsowardsher brainless family tricked her back home by crying and hugging her at a Mccdonalds where they had a meeting. I wish she never went 😢
All mullis are with sealed lips now 😮
The only reason these officers are going after her family so diligently NOW is because they know they failed her big time while she was alive!
she told the police not to do anything in the letter they can only pursue when the victim wants the police help or detective
And because of the media attention of course, I bet their careers had also flurushed after this case.
They should be discharged for their accessory to murder
They are as guilty as the assholes who killed her
Well said

people think you are being over dramatic, looking for attention. I told someone I thought I could trust and was a friend. that if anything happened to me, look at my ex.... she just laughed 4 months later he tried to kill me; obviously he failed, after 2nd attempt, I finally left with the clothes on my back.

@@angiegomez9778 all is well, thanks
God Bless you Twinkle, I pray you find freedom, joy and peace.

Islamic logic. Jesus Christ is the way truth and life from a former Buddhist

Unfortunately in Islam there is nothing wrong with killing something that isnt considered human. This isnt a slight on Islam because theyre are plenty Muslims who are good but those who believe in the "honor" code dont view women as people, only objects.
