  • The "stamped on" look in scalp micropigmentation refers to an unnatural and overly obvious appearance of the pigmented dots on the scalp, resembling the look of a stamped pattern rather than a natural hair follicle. It can occur when the pigmentation is too dense, the dots are too large or uniform, or when the technique used is not refined enough to mimic the natural variation of hair follicles.

I’m still amazed by your work on me. My 4th session was in February. Thank you both so much! I may need to make a TX visit this summer just to say hello and show your audience your great work. Thank you, Nichole and Joe!

Well, I just completed a touch up of some spots and a bit more hairline feathering . This was technically my 5th and final session. It looks great and leaving Texas in 2 hrs. Thanks Nichole and Joe!! The service you provided is exemplary!

I've been through the whole rabbit hole literal "dark side" of SMP and I will tell anyone it is 1000% crucial to find the right artist and get the right shape/texture for your face in order to avoid the pain and humiliation of having to erase it via laser and start over. I don't wish my particular journey on anyone.

      Sorry to hear your situation.
Yes, we hear from many many guys who do not want to live with having obvious ink on their head. Some cases are obviously over done and botched. Most cases are not so bad from far away, but when someone gets up close or in good lighting it becomes obvious. Wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

It is a sensitive topic, we try our best to be as soft as possible..
But, he did pay someone thousands of dollars to have an obvious fake hairline 😳
Hopefully he is happy and cool with it. What don’t think he thinks about it?!

Why doesn't anyone talk about the toxic carbon based ink used in SMP that can cause cancer?

Man…I do love this art form, but too often the busiest and “best” artists are professional head stampers (my opinion) and the majority of guys seem to love it 🤔 🙃

I recently got mine done he went really light the first session it looked great. But I have a job where I sweat profusely I work like a ups type job. I bring 4 shirts to work and sweat thru all of them. My SMP faded quite a bit so he had to go with a bigger needle and second sess faded quite a bit but we kept it with the same gauge. I do like but wish it was a little lighter I’m hoping it will lighten up due to sweating

*Update it’s been 2 months and some details left out. After the the first session i stayed inside for 3 days out of the heat then unfortunately i had to go back to work and after the first day in heat i sweat a lot of impressions out so when i went back for second session he decided to go to a bigger gauge and it didnt match the size of my hair follicles the dots were too big and looks somewhat unnatural. If I could do it all over again i would not do it during summer i would wait till it cools down and i think i could of avoided the impressions falling out because i was happy with the gauge we used on the first session. I’m going to wait till this fall and go back and get it touched up with the first gauge we used I think it was a 8 I could be wrong tho.

What should SMP really cost? I feel tattoo artists are charging a fortune for something that wouldn't cost that much if they were having a regular tattoo.

    • @scalp_logic
      @scalp_logic  5 місяців тому +1

The skill to create smp is so different compared to body art tattoos.
There are definitely “smp artists” that charge more than they should bc the industry demands it. We hope clients can see the difference in results, especially long term healed results.
From my perspective, if a man wants to have an undetectable result that lasts that way long term, it will take serious experience, ability, and labor for an artist to create it.
Of course you can pay $1-3k to get this treatment completed, but what will that look like on a daily basis???

I guess we don’t post enough black guys bc we get that question often.
