The Three Standards of SMP - 3 Different Levels of Scalp Micropigmentation

- Joe and Nichole discuss the differences in Scalp Micropigmentation interpretations. Some are simply just covering bald spots, while some artist have the capacity to create results that look as real as real hair! Enjoy!
Next time also post pictures of what subtle, lego and traditional look like. I like these discussions.
Yes sir, will do. Good suggestion 🙏
@@scalp_logic Lastly when you guys mentioned about skin. Having this treatment you have to moterize skin a lot as well as scalp. So it'll help a man take care of themselves. You'll be more hygentic keeping areas clean; forming good habits overall. All benefits of SMP.
@@Zoneread24 yes sir, you nailed it. Good all around for looking, feeling, and acting your best. Also good for attracting females :)
@@scalp_logic of course! can you please do a video about best sunscreen for SMP? I am trying to look for one that is good for SMP and can use on my face too. Or one that serves just for my SMP. I haven't seen any video on that anywhere. Also an updated instruments to use for cutting SMP would be good as well. I remember JRU was experimenting different things. I am sometimes fearful I'll damage my SMP if I try something that isn't a known method. Just some ideas! Love the content.
@@scalp_logic did you get any pictures yet?
Also More client videos.... post more results videos...! Let’s see some more results to go along with the narrative you have... love you guys passion.
Loving your subtle work. Very natural. 👍
Thank you sir. 😁
You guys should have your own tv show!
Wow, thank you! 😁
my favorite team
Thank you 😊 🙏
Straight hairlines is cultural(Black, Latino) when it comes to hairlines. Go to 99.9% of our barbershops and you’ll see a crispy line up and ALL ages from 1 to 91! So you must be aware of that as a company... are you all familiar and do you have a large base/experience doing SMP on people of color?
How are your results with darker complexion clients with oiler skin? How does this affect the ink longevity?
From Philly originally, so comprehend your statement.
SMP is 2D, while real hair is 3D. Straight lines don’t look the same.
Check out our IG for ALL ethnicities showcased. PJ Tucker (nba) is one of our great results we can share 😁
Ink longevity is dictated by many variables, not just ethnicity, including skin health, work, stress, lifestyle, weather/ sun exposure, etc.
“I have heard that some people develops lumps in their necks and on their heads after treatment as their lymph nodes swell up, why does this happen and how long does it last?”
Why don’t anyone mention this in possible side affects/concerns?
(@Alan Smithee)
Tell me that: Is it possible that after the first session pigment could turn blue? After the procedure on the same day, the client was working out, sweating, washing his scalp with ordinary shampoo - he admitted all the above. Now you can clearly see that pigment has a blueish kind of a look. What are your thoughts. All the best lads!
It is certainly possible. Working out, sweating, using wrong shampoo are all not good, none will solely endure the “blue/green” look.
It’s all about the depth the artist went as well as the artist’s understanding of the particular clients skin/ink acceptance 👌
@@scalp_logic Thanks!
I’m trying to tell ya man. TRUST ME. If you go to the right person this is the best investment ever. Imagine waking up everyday and you look good lmaoo. The guy in the video might look light, but LISTEN. It looks so much better in person. I got mines done by Chris Herrera, he’s top 3 in world. Chris own SMP looked light in pictures but in person looks so amazing it’s crazy, it looks like he just got a nice clean cut. These guys are good too they have a lot of information. This company here knows what they talking about. Don’t be cheap man. It’s worth every penny. I got lineup to look like I’m 16 year old again. 😂. Happy is an understatement.
* Go To The Right Person * - that’s the crucial move.
Thanks for your feedback 🙏

@@thomasharris5151 This is very uncommon. I’ve only ever heard of such cases in my beginning years (10+ years ago).
This is more common with traditional tattooing, and so I hope nobody getting smp is having this experience.
As a black Male I'm curious how this works for me?
Do you guys consider bishop ink?
Sure that would be a good consideration. It’s a trustworthy company, I would just want to test the ink myself if I were to use it 👍🏼
Fourth category: Instagram SMP. SMP can look natural in daylight and absolutely horrendous in photographs.
I like that, IG SMP. It’s true, what we see on Instagram isn’t always what it looks like in person.
Does anyone in the UK do subtle SMP or similar standard?
I’m sure of it, but not aware of it. I want to understand better myself because we get a lot of emails asking the same question.
Could you mention a few to look at for consideration?
@@scalp_logic So some names I am looking at are Scalpology, Creative Scalps, Brandwood in that order.
@@scalp_logic I appreciate that thank you. But now i have a dilemma, the only real life example i have is a good friend who had a good outcome with the first company above. Can you expand on your 'no'?
All three are good options. I took a quick glance at their IG pages. I saw only fresh work (no healed #spotlight pics) so I’m cautious, but I haven’t looked thoroughly to be fair.
Follow you heart and gut.
It’s impossible to see the true results if there are no healed pics. 🤷♂️
@@scalp_logic Thank you !
However that is a good description. Lol
Sad but true.
Calling a style lego head is not very respectful. 👆 as your community guidelines. 🤦♂️
There aren’t any guidelines, that’s our point. There are guys walking around with “lego head” type of results. That’s sad. Its disrespectful to not mention it.
Lego head is not a style it’s a look that USES WAY to much ink and the follicles bleed together looking as if the hair is painted on! Like Foosey Tube SMP had and others!!! Looks sad and bad!!!
@@thomasharris5151 This style is never intended, but sadly there are many guys around the world with such a result.
Unfortunately, laser removal is not easy to find for MOST guys on top of that fact.
