Its so good to see you 'back' on UA-cam. It seems to have been an absolute age since you posted a build video. your skills are beyond reproach. Everything you make seems to have an air of longevity about it. You don't use big fancy expensive tools, granted your bandsaw is bigger than most, but its your living so you would have it. Your not sponsored by anyone so your not constantly going on about Triton this that and the other like some channels on here. Most videos I have seen they throw stuff together, hold it all with a few 'brads' or a screw here and there, and you just know that 2 years down the line, you'll be making it again. You are an inspiration and I hope your YT channel, your school and your life goes from strength to strength. Keep up the good work.
If you haven’t yet... I’ve found a trick to those Greene & Greene nuances that complicate joinery. The joints or intersections of planes must either be matching in roundness, or stop your router a fraction before inserting a square joint. Hide those odd shadows.
Thanks Samurai. You are really inspiring guys like me. In about 2 weeks I will have my own shop after 2 years of researching for tools and economy. Thank you for shareing all your stuff.
Im from eastern part of Europe. And this furniture is almost exact replica of the soviet-era mass produced heavy-as-fuck furniture.Recently burned few of these.Gives me chills to see those born again🤤
You never cease to amaze! Brilliant, my friend. I've made fixtures for my shop - work bench, lumber rack, etc., But the furniture and super clean joinery are "amaze-balls". One day I hope to have as much talent and skill as you have in your pinky finger nail. All the best from Salisbury, NC!
Amazing... The design is a pure Samurai Carpenter. The joinery is above & beyond. Not only is the "free" video completely fulfilling on all levels, but the fact that you can bundle all that with plans and in-depth tutorials is mind-blowing. Don't just "Honor the Craft", Support the Craft. This isn't your Dad's New Yankee Workshop!
Awesome job, also nice to see the older format with nice camera work some music and a pile of lumber being transformed into something crazy cool. Great video and kick ass project, thanks for posting
Samurai Knocks it out of the park with this furniture out of 2x6. Nice to know that you are doing projects that are built from readily available lumber. You rock!
I like the type of joinery that has the piece come through and a wedge shaped piece of wood keep it snugged up. I don't know what its called but I like the way it looks. Its almost a lost art to make quality stuff now days, it takes time that most don't want to spend. At least I can come here and learn something. :)
OMG! This is why I started watching you years ago....... dude, please come over and help me make these.... incredible.. you can not purchase these. I absolutely enjoyed watching this. Really I fly you down. Need a quick trip to Cali?
Pls dont think i was talking crap!:) by no means sir. You are a true magician with your style and the things you do. It just scares me every time. :) keep posting and ill keep liking every single video
doesnt matter how many videos of yours i watch. i am still in awe of the crisp joinery you make time and time again. im currently in the process of making outdoor furniture for around my firepit. may i ask what finish that is? is it just like danish oil or something like that? it looks absolutely amazballs
Hallo, I am your big fan...your work/projects are absolutely fantastic and your skills and technique is brillient. I wish to to possess such skills too. I have question. Would you have plans of your work available and would you share them? Thanks and keep us inspired. Jaroslav
How come you don't use your mortiser more often? Seems like it would save a load of time over router plus chisel work. Suppose it might just be a matter of preference.
Nice video. Got a few really good ideas. You have a real mastery of your tools, but you could use a Katana. That would make short works of any difficult wood!
I think there is a point in time, a place, where you move from being a woodworker to an artist; it is obviously subjective but I think you like ISHITANI have got there. Amazing work. I'd like to think if I practised and devoted time to this craft that I'd get there; but I don't think I would.
You are truly that Samurai Carpenter. This project is way beyond the skill a typical DIYer.
The joints are so beautiful in addition to being strong. Great design.
Wish the plans for this set is available for download. Did not see it listed at the website...... but enjoyed seeing you work!!
If carpentry really is an art, you are one of its greatest exponents! Congratulations and continue to please us with your beautiful works.
It is an absolute treat to watch you use a hand saw and chisel my friend

Beautiful! I can only imagine what you will be making when you are 60, when your talent and skills have blended for decades!!

Adrian Luica Same. Good luck on your new shop man.
I downloaded the instructions and watched the detailed videos and made my own set. I made plenty of mistakes but am very happy about the final result.

Man this stuff looks good enough to be called fine furniture rather than deck furniture. I love the design!
Excellent joinery. Your skills with a chisel are very impressive.
Excellent joinery and cinematography!
Very nice work. That was fun to watch.
Awesome furniture set and build. No siding? I didn't notice. I was completely focused on the furniture.
such beautiful pieces! nothing beats self made wood projects!
Beautiful work! Thanks for sharing. Seriously.
That's some serious samurai joinery skills right there.
Was such a relief when you said you made a tons of mistakes while doing these! That gives us hope to make same kind of things like you do😄
Nice sharing bro,, success your channel, from Indonesia😀👍💕

Midnight Maker I think norm would approve
Turned out nice, the lumber you used looks a little better than what I see locally in the bay area.
Awesome job, also nice to see the older format with nice camera work some music and a pile of lumber being transformed into something crazy cool. Great video and kick ass project, thanks for posting

You rock!
Beautiful furniture. Like always! You should do a video on all your jigs, like the router jig for mortises. We would love to see that!
I did this one last year on the Router Jig. Every woodworker needs one. ua-cam.com/video/DV9Cb_-Axos/v-deo.html
That’s a superb set of furniture! Well done!
You do some of the most sophisticated joinery I have ever seen. :)
your attention to detail is amazing!! your work is immaculate!
Your accuracy and attention to detail is most certainly god level!! Thank you for sharing Samurai!!
This kind of joinery makes me SO! happy. So much more skill than just sticking a domino up to it.
dude! Pocket hole carpentry has gotten out of hand on UA-cam

Koality of Life "tusk tenon" or "loose wedged mortise in tenon" or "keyed mortise in tenon"
Thank you. Some day I will get a spare minute to make something with that look to it. :)
This is woodworking at its best
his outdoor furniture looks better than my indoor furniture!
OMG! This is why I started watching you years ago....... dude, please come over and help me make these.... incredible.. you can not purchase these. I absolutely enjoyed watching this. Really I fly you down. Need a quick trip to Cali?

That is the most impressive patio furniture ever made :) Your joinery skills are truly awesome.
Have you thought about doing an ice chest to bring out when having a cookout?? Thinking about it!!
doesnt matter how many videos of yours i watch. i am still in awe of the crisp joinery you make time and time again. im currently in the process of making outdoor furniture for around my firepit. may i ask what finish that is? is it just like danish oil or something like that? it looks absolutely amazballs
Thanks. It's teak oil.
The Samurai Carpenter thank you sir! Gentleman and a scholar!

After you are done
your house should be museum for all woodworkers and art people.
Great music.... nice to watch...
Got the demensional lumber explanation, but what did you finish it with and why? Thanks
Amazing work as always Mr Samurai
was glue used between every mortis and tendon? and the legs, how were they finished; attached?
Beautiful work. Wonder what the market value would be on these...
Beautiful, as always, Jesse
You are hands down the best out there just wow wow wow
Well done Jesse!

You're Building Rome...Everything takes time...Thanks again.
Que recubrimiento, utiliza para la madera.
Nice video. Got a few really good ideas. You have a real mastery of your tools, but you could use a Katana. That would make short works of any difficult wood!
What finish was applied to that beautiful furniture. made it pop! Amazing work.
Amazing wood working. Wish i had the tools for that kind of work
Very nice indeed. I really like how they are all reminiscent of the 'Morris' style furniture, which I have always found appealing.
The carcass sits on the shelves of the legs . Is it glue joined?
And he is back!!!
Just fantastic Samurai!
Wow very nice working
Your joinery is amazeballs
dude, you are an animal. killing it up there.

As a man believes in his heart, so is he. Don't put limiting beliefs on your life brother. It's a terrible way to live.
Beautiful.. the wood is larch?
What stain/sealer is your go to?
Any reason you didnt put wedges in your tenons? Obv. Youve shown that doesnt have to be done all of the time, but you do often wedge them
You are truly that Samurai Carpenter. This project is way beyond the skill a typical DIYer.
Гарна работа! Золоті руки!
How awesome!! Dude, You're an artist!
What kind of wood did you use for these chairs?
Did you buy pillows to fit the furniture, or did you design the furniture fit the pillows you had?
Sorry sir, do you just using glue without any screw ?
