Thanks friend. Some days I just want to quit but it’s knowing that my work is putting a smile on someone’s face that keeps me going and ignoring the criticism.
It’s amazing how much talent this guy has. It would take me a year to build something half this quality. He has a tendency to make woodworking/craftsmanship look effortless. Wish the best to you and your family Samurai!
Jesse, you are making things for the ages.. Man I think back to years ago watching you make the stone wash basin, doing the workshop, namely putting up the beam in the center, doing the yard, making the terrace deck, siding the house, over the years you never disappoint and I can hardly imagine what the house is eventually going to look like, the bespoke nature of everything YOU made to fit in every nook and cranny, don't be appolagising for not posting for a while you got the life brother the real ones will be here watching you along the way getting inspired from what you do. You are making memories with your beautiful family living the dream brother, and we're thankful that we get to come along this epic journey with you in some way. ❤
I can’t wait to see what you have lined up for the main house on the property. I’ve watched since I was in my teens, first video I watched was the rock sink.
It seems that you have trouble to see the 🌞 these days, but don worry, it will come around😊. You and your projects bring us joy an happiness😋, so do not stop this GREAT work🎉. Greetings from Slovenia, EU
I really miss these furniture builds. I also have been really enjoying the off grid builds and everything that's going on with that, but these furniture builds are super inspiring. As far as the next project, my vote is for a dining table. Great to see you again and thanks!
Jesse, I know some people complain when a creator re-releases old videos but I started watching you back when you were building bridges and demonstrating scarf joints. I've told people about them but those videos are difficult to find. Can you offer tips on finding different series or maybe make a "greatest hits" compilation with links to some of your earlier accomplishments. I really enjoyed the Japanese joinery videos and bought my first razor saw through you. Thanks!
Jessie, I’ve been watched your videos from the start and you are the reason I now have so many Japanese tools. 😀 great to see you back in the shop! If you enjoy it keep it going👍
Thanks for the video Jesse ❤ I was very happy to see an upload of you. Makes me want to build a bed for my wife and myself too. Glad to see your kids are getting taller and older ☺️ I hope you and your family stays happy and healthy and united.
Beautiful as always…happy to see the boys at work! So important and inspiring to see a great family working together! Not much longer before one or more of your young men will join you in the shop as serious apprentices! That sir, is the real beauty of what you’re building!
So is that what we're calling bedroom activities now.... Natural disaster? 😂😂😂 Damn I like that Odies finish. Looked great on that sweet bedframe and headboard. ❤

Beautiful Bed Samurai and headboard off the hizzie! 🪵 🛏️ Go Get that Buck 🦌 you’ve earned it. Thanks for Sharing Samurai… p.s. maybe a coffee table next.
Hey Samurai, old time subscriber here, since the days you were carving sinks from stones. How is the house at the lake going? I get worried about your mental health, since you haven't posted those types of videos in a while. It seems you are not as inspired as you would wish to be. Hang in there.
Now let me get this straight - Its a 'flat-pack' Bed by The Samurai, but its also a one-off and unique. Its beautiful anyway! And so are you Jesse, from 8" x 8" timber construction to delicate Kumiko lamps etc. I'm jealous of your mortice machine and yet I'll never need one! (but then, YOU ARE a mortice machine...so...can I have yours haha?)
Nicely done! I was thinking that maybe a bolt through the tenons would hold the corners together instead of using a corner bracket, but that would have to enter from the bottom or have some esthetically pleasing way to cover them if entered from on top. However that might not prevent racking, but since this frame sits directly on the floor maybe that’s not an issue.
Wish you’d post more often. I really do miss your videos and all of your content.

Project idea - a sitting bench for a front porch or the swim deck on the remote property.
Good luck on the hunt! Hopefully I'll be able to get out for some duck and/or geese this year.
