    Like others have said there is something special about being in a tree while the woods wake up around you, but my 2 biggest bucks have been at 1:15 and 3:00 in the afternoon. They weren’t getting pushed by hunters going in for lunch either.

    There’s something almost sacred about being in the woods as daylight breaks. All the sounds and seeing more and more clearly with each passing moment. It’s a rush every single time

    I am not very experienced. Can you tell me how to look at the woods and find a funnel? I have never been able to figure this out. I am lucky that a friend has a 400 acre hobby farm, 75% woods with maybe 10% in beans from a guy who leases one field but given the hills all over the place, I have never been able to figure out the woods. there is a water source and I see rubs there in October. The farm is in east central Missouri.

    Unfortunately I have to rely on mornings because the club leases timber land and they charge outrages prices for us to place food plots so deer leave the property in the evening.

    Love morning hunts. I’ve bumped deer in the dark and a hour into daylight they come back to investigate. Afternoon hunts you can observe while slowly walking in. My NY spots and southern Ohio property have real crazy winds. I have lots of work to do. Kevin did a good job back in February. Will be over seeding soon and get stands up soon. We use a atv or utv regularly so I’ll drive do a drop off drive away and park it to bump them around to us. The curiosity can kill. Thank you

    I'm conflicted on taking a doe in early season vs waiting on that buck.

      My season starts in September early so I normally take a single doe early then after that one let it call back down then hunt antlers until after the rut which is usually last two week October and kicks in real good first two weeks of November

    I finally got a little excited about the morning and evening stand hunting. After watching it 5times, here’s my take-only hunt midday and cross fingers for success. Because there’s no way in and no way out without spooking deer! I love the fact that you claim to hunt these areas and tell everyone not to or you will wreck your stand!
    Consistency consistency consistency is definitely not a skill you have-maybe you do
    Just not when you’re preaching to the thousands of people that watch your videos.
    After all the videos from all the Makers,yours wants me to pull my hair out !!! Stay on track with your presentation! Quit bouncing around! The teacher is not grading your work anymore

      I'm sorry...I just can't dumb this stuff down...these are advanced techniques that work and if you understood why you can take your game to a new level. That's why more folks hire WHS to design their hunting parcels in more states by far...than anyone else in the country. The concepts work, you just have to be open to learning them and apply.

    Private land!!! Low presser.. easy to patern.. easy hunting!!!!!!

    • @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751
      @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751  11 місяців тому

      Easy to pattern...MUCH more critical to not make mistakes tho, which is why so many fail on private land. You can hunt sloppy on public land and move somewhere else if you blow your hunt out. On private land when you make a mistake you can be done for weeks at a time...
      Most successful public land hunters used to mobility could not do very well on small private lands, where 1 aggressive mistake can cost you a season...

    How far away from a holding plot do you think a water hole should be? Awesome video also

    • @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751
      @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751  Рік тому +1

      Thanks a lot Jake! Far enough away to be able to get in and out of the waterhole stand without spooking out the food plot...typically 50 to 100 yards+. Somewhere a buck would consider cruising thru anyways, without necessarily traveling too or from the plot during the daylight

    What's you're advice on asking permission to hunt a farmer's property. What would you say to convince them to let you hunt there land?

    • @craigkowalczyk3516
      @craigkowalczyk3516 Рік тому +2

      Just ask them politely. Usually bow only will get more yeses. Amazing the amount of permission I’ve gained I’ve the years by just asking. Also don’t be afraid to help the farmer out with chores to help gain permission

    • @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751
      @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751  Рік тому +1

      Ask if you can help them do work for them to hunt. Also, consider that in any areas across the country the value to hunt 100 acres of land is somewhere between $2000 and $5000. It's good to know just how valuable it is to actually be able to hunt their land when asking for permission...because they often already do.
      Street clothes, your spouse and kids along when asking help greatly. Offering to work and a card with all of your info on it is also great. Just be aware of financially what it's actually worth be fore asking too...
