Fuckin love the in depth videos you’ve been doing lately. I love how informative they are and how you’re teaching more specialty things that most people doing learning about choppers don’t even think about. Keep up the good work man I look forward to tuning into every video.

Great work, and I love that you got in-depth with the weld settings. Where is Carl’s located now? A google search shows that they’re permanently closed. Wondering what other repair sections they offer… Happy New Year!!

Carl's Cycle Supply is in South Dakota, USA.
They specialize in restoring early Harley Davidsons and sourcing/producing replica parts.
They work mostly with Knucklehead, Panhead, and Flathead motors.
They may be shut down for the holidays but I've seen nothing to indicate that they are closed.
They have sites on all the media platforms. They posted a 36' El on their UA-cam channel 5 days ago.
      Hope this helps.

good description of the settings on your welder but what filler rod did you use ? and your preference of electrode ? cases came out really well after the welding

Did you use propane to warm up? I think this would bring unwanted dirt to the welding area.... great video, thanks

Yes used just regular old gas. Burns super clean. Maybe you are thinking about oxy acetylene?

Nice job, If it was a frequent enough repair you may do well to use an old generator housing or make something similar to strap in the piece to be welded for taking in position?. But i know you know that, obviously not a regular job. But now people know you do it?, who knows eh?.
