I'm in the UK and another person who grew up watching David McCallum. The Man from U.N.C.L.E. seemed so glamourous compared to Manchester in the early to mid 70's. I also loved Sapphire and Steel. I was in my teens when it started and have always been a SciFi fan. I remember my homework had to be finished or I couldn't watch it. Thank you, Mr McCallum, for all the wonderful memories.

I grew up in the Sixties and remember David McCallum from "The Man from UNCLE", "The Great Escape," "The Outer Limits" and others. I'm glad a new generation had a chance to see him. So many have gone to the Great Beyond without people knowing them. I'm glad he went out with a bang.

I was born in '63. David has been part of my TV/movie life for as long as I can remember. The Man From U.N.C.L.E, The Great Escape, The Outer Limits reruns...I only ever saw one episode of NCIS. I gave up on TV and streaming services many years ago. He was also in the TV series, The Invisible Man, and was in an episode of Babylon 5 to name a few of the plethora of shows/movies he has starred in or played a role in.

Why would you give up, on TV, and streaming services?? I can fathom TV (especially, prime time, as it blows), but streaming?? 'Anything you wanna see (for the most part), when you wanna see it' option, doesn't get any better, than that!!!

I love streaming because you can watch TV programmes and movies any time of the day, not just at the set time given like on the old tv system. The disadvantages are that most are costly (but so was cable and DISH/Direct TV) and that they could be removed to go to another sysyem-for example, Prodigy to Netflex, which would have costed me more money to re-subscribe to Netflex, but I didn't. Fortunately, there are free systems like Tubi, Pluto, and Filmwise, etc. as well. I think my parents, if they were still alive, would love it. I just wish one of them like Paramount+ would have "Man From U.N.C.L.E ". I've already seen "NCIS" and "Sapphire&Steel", but have the DVD sets to both just in case they're cut or moved somewhere else.

I grew up in the 1960's watching him in various shows. He always had a certain charisma. My wife and I are watching an NCiS rerun while I'm typing this comment. We didn't know he had passed a couple months ago. So sad.

"Remind Magazine" barely mentioned him in their puzzle magazine until last month-and it was on the bottom of the page-which was better than my local paper-who said nothing at all about his birthday or death. He had more years of talent than the ones they typically mentioned.

They called him ‘Dispersal’ s he devised a way to get rid of the soil from the tunnels. Donald Pleasance actually played the forger.

My father introduced me to him when we were watching a re-run of "A Night to Remember" and I fell for that cute guy who played Harold Bride. I was almost 11 when I watched this movie and later my father asked why Harold Bride was now playing a spy in a espionage show on tv. I saw David again, a little bit older, playing a Russian spy named Illya Kuryakin. We saw him in various movies and tv programmes over the years and even I even bought his records, music and narration stories to hear his voice. He even inspired me to try the Oboe, but I realised how hard it was and did better on the Flute and Recorder. I was also glad I met him at the Peachtree Playhouse a couple of times-'76 and '78 to see him after his lead roles in the plays, "Mouse Trap" and "Night Must Fall" and later bought his signed book. "Once A Crooked Man"! In that time, he was perfect as that Medical Examiner, Dr. Ducky Mallard on "NCIS" for about 20 years! Then it came to an end one day when I heard David died 6 days after his 90th birthday. I miss him and offer consoles to his wife and family. RIP, David.
