We must be close in age, I remember Man From U.N.C.L.E. also. 😀 That Tamiya kit looks fantastic, it should build up well.
I loved watching the Man from U.N.C.L.E on reruns when I was a kid and great idea Mark ❤
Please pronounce his last name as Mik-Cal-lum, not Mik-Cul-lum. Been watching him for a LONG time! Even got to meet him in '76 and '78. RIP, David.
Gotta Love it, all cool car possibilities from the shows when we were kids! Funny, remembering that the Parina was used in the filming of the Man from U.N.C.L.E.. Can you imagine anyone driving that car on the street, even seriously detuned? LoL!
Thanks my friend!! I agree, can’t see it as a daily driver in any era. LOL. For a spy car, not too discreet. lol
Thanks so much Mark... like you, my earliest memories (and fond ones)are from "The Man From UNCLE"...
Take care my friend and much love to you and Amanda🙏

Another great video Mark and very sad to hear of the passing of David, he will be missed.
lol don't think I ever miss the man form U.N.C.L.E back in the day was ready to go for that show.David will surly be missed as he was a fine actor. Love to see you build this kit. Prays to you and Amanda
Many thanks my friend!! Yes sir, it was a groovy show! lol
Amanda says thank you!!
I barely remember that show, but I do remember liking it, lol, looking like a sweet project 😁✌️
Good stuff! 😁👍
The original series never divulged who or what THRUSH represented, nor was it ever used as an acronym.
It was, however, defined in the Expanded universe of the tie-in U.N.C.L.E. novels written by David McDaniel. "The Dagger Affair" , the fourth novel, stated it stood for the "Technological Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity". And now we know 😁 love ya!
Thanks my brother!! (Sounds like some bad dudes to me) lol.
Big thanks for the info!!
Be safe out there!!! Love ya!!!
Nice Morgan! When I moved to NYC in 2001 I heard about this great restaurant on the lower east side of Manhattan. So I’m walking towards the address to check it out and as I turned a corner there was tons of commotion….cop cars and ambulances…even a couple of fire trucks. People screaming and running around. But it’s NYC so that’s everyday…lol. I kept walking and a woman ran up to me with a walkie talkie and a lanyard on saying I couldn’t go down that way. I figured I was a “true New Yorker” 😂 by then so I kept on going. She jumped back in front of me screaming, “You can’t go down there! They’re filming!!” Apparently I had walked onto a filming site of Law & Order SVU. 🤣😂 Oops! That would’ve made an even better story if I had shown up in the episode walking past the chaos!
Thank you my friend!! What a cool story! With all the filming in Manhattan, I Imagine that happens quite often around the city. Have an awesome day!!
Man from U.N.C.L.E was a cool show...and Colditz and Sapphire and Steel and so on :D You definitely should do that build, it would be a fitting tribute. I've never seen that Morgan kit, didn't even know Tamiya had done one. But it does make since since they did the Lotus Europa and the Super Seven as well. Incidentally I found a Super 7 kit for really cheap and now I'm torn between building it as KAR120C or with one of the Nissan L24 engines I have in the parts bin...decisions decisions.
Gonna miss him on the show. Try watching Sapphire and Steel, he starred in it with Joanna Lumley, a strange but compelling show. Thanks for sharing Mark!
Nice looking kit. Great idea to do a tribute build. Thanks for sharing.
I need to find some DVD(s) and watch The Man from U.N.C.L.E. I love all these old shows ;-)
Thanks brother!! Those 60s Spy shows were groovy!! Lol. Have fun!
Very nice kit! A great tribute build. I remember a, final season, episode of the A-team where Robert Vaughn is the boss of the Team and David McColnm had captured him and was trying to extract information from him. It was probably some kind of reunion episode. Like you said its sad to see the passing of a great acter. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Alan!! I missed that one. I’ll have to look it up! Thanks again!
I loved that show, "Man From U.N.C.L.E." Of course like yourself, I was a kid
and just liked any kind of action/drama series? Also liked N.C.I.S. too. Hope
all is well with you & Mrs. Amanda? Y'all are always in my prayers, so stay happy,
keep on keepin' on brother!
Thank you Jeff!! Great memories with the UNCLE indeed! lol
Amanda says thank you!!
He will be missed. I just watched him in the Mosquito Squadron
Thanks brother!! Haven’t seen that in years. I’ll have to go back and watch it again.
I remember the late Chris Cortel would do movie and TV automotive builds. My ex is a big NCIS fan and I would watch it with her on occasion. I will admit, I've always had a thing for Abby! lol
Thanks brother!! Oh yes, Who doesn’t love the quirky Abby! (and her cars) LOL
Nice review of the Morgan. It will be a nice tribute to David. The super spy car piranha is molded in a metallic blue color. The body is molded in pieces, a lower & upper halves (clam shell) . It has alignment pins all around the perimeter of the body. everywhere there is an alignment pin , there is a sink mark. Which is a shame because the plastic is molded in that nice blue color. If you are planning to build the Man from uncle car, that won't matter, as you will be painting it and can fill the sink marks. I don't know what color the Man from uncle car was. I watched the show on a black & white TV. lol. I think it was a light color as it showed up either white or light gray on the TV. You may already know this but there was a combo kit of the Piranha, the drag version of the Piranha & a trailer. cool stuff. Have a great day Mark.
Thank you Rick!! And thanks for the heads up on the Piranha too! While not something I’d build immediately, I’d like to have one for the collection. I want to say it was silver/gray but I will have to research it a bit. Many thanks again buddy!!
Aside from the wooden floorboards, I hope it was in better condition than that UNCLE car. David's last name was pronounced like Mick-Cal-lum, not Mick-Cullum. At least, you pronounced Illya's last name was pronounced correctly. I met the man 2x and he had to tell someone how to say his name right. He was amazed I already knew it.
That's a great tribute build to David. He was a great actor and I enjoyed his shows. The Man from U.N.C.L.E was a very entertaining show back in the day.
Thanks Larry!! Yep, a groovy show. lol
